No, isolation does work. It's worked for centuries and is one of the ways Britain won many wars and built it's empire plus helped win WW1 and the cold war. Even if the isolated country doesn't collapse it keeps them weak so they can't expand their power and influence while your own country and allies grow even stronger.
What we've been doing the last 30 years by opening up to them hasn't worked either. They have a million people in reeducation camps and ethnic cleansing is national policy towards minority ethnic groups. They also now have enough economic muscle to export their authoritarianism and try to silence free speech in the free world as evidenced by their handling of criticism by NBA players and management.

I joined that website once and thought those guys were pretty disgusting. From the captions describing the videos they seemed to really get off on humiliating the women. One time laughing when telling about how the girl regretted doing the scene and tried to return the money so they wouldn't post the scene. It made me wonder how careless these girls were signing up to do those videos and if they did any research before being filmed.
