What will life look like when the democrats Control Congress and the White HouseNot nearly as radical as you might think.
(1) The ACA will not be repealed and it will be improved so as to be less of a burden to upper-middle-class workers who are self-employed. Single-payer will never make it through an all-democratic congress
(2) The Trump corporate tax cut will be reversed to pre-Trump levels.
(3) Dreamers will be allowed to stay and we'll construct a path to citizenship.

Depends on whether you are paying her, or not. If you're paying her, it's much more like prostitution than a GF.. That goes for SBs, too.
That's a gentle reminder to most of the AARP crowd here who are glorified johns paying for sex.

Is this the Democrats Endgame? As usual , @Mark93, your post fails the 30second fact check in the most important features. For example incremental fix to ACA (instead of single-payer) and no mention of free college tuition. Go take your chloroquine, nutcase

July 8th: Coronavirus Updates from The Washington Post"President Trump and senior administration officials on Wednesday ramped up pressure on schools to reopen in the fall, and downplayed the recommendations of their own health experts."

Translation: If your kids die, or if your kids bring the virus home and it kills grandma, it's doesn't matter as long as I get reelected.
Not sure if this Economist election forecast is behind a paywall for the rest of you:

As of July 8 ,2020 Biden has a 90% chance of winning the electoral college and a 98% chance of winning the popular vote.

Pandemic LifeBig plus: We're both working from home and going into the office occasionally as needed. Everything else is worse. No swimming and the highlight of our days is getting take-out food. Since we're both healthy (knock on wood) I'll rate our lifestyle at 7.
Investing strategy right now is a nagging worry -- but that's another topic.

July 7th WashingtonPost Coronavirus UpdateMany different subtopics here, but I'll focus on the US withdrawal from WHO.
I have some first-hand knowledge of the kind of high-quality scientists that work for the WHO and the father of my long-term GF during college worked for the WHO. He was a Ph.D. biologist and would travel the world studying tropical infectious diseases. He was dedicated to his work and about as apolitical as you can get. These scientists deserve support and withdrawing from the WHO during a pandemic hurts Americans and everyone else around the world.
My understanding is that it goes into effect a year from now and that Biden would never allow the US to withdrawal.
What is Trump's rational? He's been an utter failure to act rationally to crisis and he's scapegoating a bunch of scientists that could help us out of this mess. Scapegoating for his failures is a common theme for this idiot. Another common theme is contempt for science.
The TUSCL conspiracy theories about collusion b/w China and the WHO are also idiotic.

Yes, I remember reading that somewhere. In the movies, mutations make the virus more deadly; in real-life viruses become less deadly for the reason you mentioned.

Yale University named after slave owner. Needs a name change.@GammaNut wrote: "The current fantasy is that evil white people trapped Africans...blah blah...but that's the current revisionist narrative"
----------------------
There is no "current revisionist narrative" and I remember countless articles in the NY Times and WaPO about the role of Africans in the slave trade -- especially during Obama's term. Oversimplifying what is and what is not fantasy is what you can expect from a bigot like GammaNu, who calls other TUSCL member "porch monkeys." I don't have a well-formed opinion on reparations. However, the fact that Africans played a role in the slave trade doesn't absolve American plantation owners from the brutality and horror of slavery.
It's instructive to have a minority opinion on a site like this and you can sense the tangible fear that whites have over black and brown people gaining power. In essence, that's why we have a clown-bigot like Donald Trump. I hope that black and brown people vote in record numbers this fall.
