BEWARE the "valet parking" scam here. The idea behind valet parking is you don't have to park your own car and walk to the entrance (of a restaurant, hotel, etc). A parking lot could be "valet only", because they pack the cars in and may need to move cars around, hence they'll need your keys. However, if you don't park on their lot, a business can't tell you where to park. They don't own the street, and they can't tell you not to park there. If you park on the street and walk to the door, and the valet troll tells you it's "valet only", tell him they don't own the street. You may think they do this to shake money from you, but it's more sinister than that. Even if you offer to pay the "valet" fee they'll still tell you to surrender your keys to them. This way if you get a private dance and the dancer says you owe her $300 (which you DO NOT owe), they can refuse to give you your keys. If you call the cops, all they have to say is you appeared too drunk to drive. I can't understand why anyone puts up with this nonsense, but they do.

When I'm looking for a club to visit, I'll look for one in the general area I'm located. Once I identify a few candidates, I'll read the reviews for those clubs. I don't care what the title is, I'm looking for a club to visit so I can get my dick sucked. I'm looking for information. The information I seek is: (1) Is there mandatory valet parking. I will never surrender my keys to the valet guy. (2) Is the club safe? I don't want to get mugged. (3) Is the club one of those that nickel and dime you and basically rip you off. (4) What are the prices of cover charge, parking fee, drinks, tableside dances, private vip dances? (5) How hot are the girls and how available are extras? I could care less what the title of the review is. When I read unapproved reviews I read the whole review, often twice, and approve or not based solely on how useful it is for either a regular or first-timer. I wrote an article about what makes a good review. I mentioned many things, but the title was not one of them.

There was one of those "duds and suds" places near the university of Cincinnati years back. It seems like a good idea, while you're waiting 30 minutes for your clothes to wash, have a beer. When I worked in washington dc in 2001 my boss and I would go to Harry's bar after work. Harry's was around the block from the fbi building, about 2 blocks from the white house. My boss shook his hand to slip him the 20, the bartenders pooled their tips so this went all to the bartender. That became our routine, we'd come in, we'd get our pitcher, and our pitcher stayed full all night. We made friends with other regulars, and we'd top their beers off. After watching 100 episodes of "bar rescue" I realize it was theft. It's common in the bar and restaurant business. I get breakfast, the waitress forgets to charge me for coffee, I tip more generously, and it becomes our routine. But yes, tipping can produce rewards. Having a bouncer not check on you in the vip is worth it right there. If it's an on-site owner, I'd pay full price for top shelf and never imply I want a break. When you're known as a guy who pays full price and tips well you're a guy they want to take care of.
