Definition of a spinner type

Reading through reviews of places local to me and that some of the girls I personally know are being called spinners is laughable. Some of you should learn the definition of a "spinner" before using it as an adjective to describe a dancer in reviews.

Pretty sure a girl I work with who is 5'8" is not a spinner despite being described as one.

A dancer being thin does not make her a spinner. A dancer being short and petite makes her a spinner - regardless of width of body. Why is that so hard to properly define?

    Thank you for the definition. Where I live the demand for spinners in strip clubs exceeds the supply. I've often wondered why. I love petite girls and have had a lot as strip club regulars and girlfriends. They tend to be very maternalistic, feminine, love children, very emotional and not very physically or sexually aggressive. Possibly low testosterone levels lead to shortness and other typical female traits but that combination of traits doesn't lead many of them to go into stripping.

    There is petite and there is spinner and no 2 people agree on the difference between the 2. Some people don't even come close to describe either in reviews...especially spinners. Same with Curvy, thick and chubby. I just take all dancer descriptions with a grain of salt. I know what I like and that is all that is important to me.

    When I was in college, one of the ex-military guys told me what a lifer had told him about a bordello in Thailand. Each woman was in a basket with a hole in the bottom, suspended by one rope from the ceiling. You put your shlong through the hole and spun the basket. So, unless you're working in a Thai cat house, you're not a real spinner.

    Seems like most dancers are not aware of this website. One told me it makes her uncomfortable to read what PLs write about strippers on the net. But, when writing reviews, I try to say things I wouldn't mind them reading. So I use terms like slender and BBW.

    I agree that some guys stretch the definition to it's breaking point. At the same time, such things are in the eye of the beholder, particularly when it comes to slang terms. I don't think many dancers would be happy if anyone came into the club with weight scale, tape measure, and calipers, so I'll stick to eyeballing it.

    I have a friend who calls petite women "pixies". I told him that type of female is often referred to as a "spinner" among strip club customers and he said he had never heard that before. I asked him if he thought Audrey Hepburn was a pixie and he replied that she's the queen of the pixies.

    I always used ‘spinner’ to mean petite, not tall and thin, but have seen it used that way on here. First time I ever heard the term was in an episode of Entourage where Vince and E hook up with a couple of Australian (?) girls who are like 6’ tall and way taller than E. She call E a spinner. Not saying it applies to dudes, just that they made a joke out of it.

    Like others have said, people use the term pretty widely. I avoid it because I think its useless, but in the case I have to admit I agree with Icee. The first few times I heard it, it was used by a woman to say that another woman was in her spin class. "ohh yeah, I know her, she's a spinner, I see her at the gym all the time." When I first read it on here I just assumed it meant a girl with a body stereotypical of what you'd see in a spin class, which didn't necessarily imply any height restrictions if anything tended to be taller types.

    I was familiar with the concept of spinners long before strip clubs. The petite but athletic gymnast/cheerleader type has always been my favorite. In those worlds they are often know as "fliers" because of their lighter than air aerial maneuvers.
