If you're a regular, get to know the staff

If you're a regular at a club, getting to know the staff is a pretty low-effort affair, that can result in a huge benefit to your SC trips. ESPECIALLY if you're a regular who goes to the club often, during slower shifts. I've found there's pretty much no downside. At worst, if you're friendly with the bouncer or manager, well now you have someone to talk sports with while you're waiting for your ATF to come out of the locker room. But here are some (just some) benefits I've had at clubs I've been a regular at over the years. In order of least to biggest impact
* I have not paid the entrance fee at my fave clubs in years
* I stroll in, go to the best table that has a "reserved" sign on it, toss the sign to the side, and sit there
* Sometimes the manager or bartender gives me a round for free
* I've had a bartender who would charge me for bottom shelf liquor and pour me top shelf
* A DJ who I bought a shot for once in a while, would let whichever girl was sitting with me skip stage. Since I usually go during dead shifts, the girls love skipping stage since they're dancing for very few customers and tips.
* I've had a manager let me and my buddies bring in our own bottle of liquor, for $150 in tips under the table to him and his bartender. Bottle service from them would have been $300 minimum for their cheapest bottle, we'd always bring in top shelf bottles (plural) for our $150
* In the higher end, lower-touching clubs I go to, typically the bouncer strolls through the VIP room once per song, or once every two songs minimum. The bouncers almost never go through the VIP when I'm back there, and the girls all know it (or figure it out quickly), which means that low-touch club is not low-touch for me, if the stripper is game. This includes extras in clubs where it's incredibly difficult if not impossible for most to get extras
Anyway, like I said, I've gone to clubs where the only benefit of knowing the staff was having a guy to talk bro stuff to while my girl is in the back, but hey, it costs me no effort to be friendly. But you may be surprised at how much more incredible your experience can be if you're a regular who is friendly with the staff. Extras at non-extras clubs, high contact in low-contact clubs, these can all change the tenor of your SC trip significantly

After watching 100 episodes of "bar rescue" I realize it was theft. It's common in the bar and restaurant business. I get breakfast, the waitress forgets to charge me for coffee, I tip more generously, and it becomes our routine.
But yes, tipping can produce rewards. Having a bouncer not check on you in the vip is worth it right there. If it's an on-site owner, I'd pay full price for top shelf and never imply I want a break. When you're known as a guy who pays full price and tips well you're a guy they want to take care of.
True, but note I didn't really discuss tipping -- the only place I mentioned tips is for the manager to let me bring in my own bottle, which as you point out, is really more of an illegal bribe than a tip 🤣 When I say "get to know that staff", that's not a fancy way to say tip everyone. I do always tip the waitress and bartender. I'll tip managers and bouncers if they send a girl to me who shows me a killer time, but I mostly don't tip these guys.
But I can see OP’s points as valid in alcohol bars, low or variable mileage places, etc.
