I think that a Senate impeachment, even after T**** is gone, is the only way that we can ensure that he can never run for office again AND THAT WE, THE PEOPLE, WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EITHER A MILLION DOLLAR PENSION OR PROTECTING THE MUTT with a very expensive Secret Service presence. It would also obviate the building of a presidential library, another needless expense given that it probably wouldn't hold more than a collection of comic books....

Yes, it does make sense. First is to prevent him doing more damage. Second is to prevent him from ever holding any government office again. Third is to strip him of a million dollar a year pension and Secret Service protection for the rest of his life. What we had here was a group of people, from the VP through the Congressional leadership and others who actually read and (gasp) understood our Constitution and would no go against it. Better late than never.
