Hands down for me, the Town Motel in Fredonia, NY. My sister-in-law was with us. Our 24-foot sailboat at the time had 4 berths, but with my wife's sister with us, we had 5 people. There was a really nice hotel literally at the foot of our dock. However, there was a big softball tournament in town that weekend, and it was full, as was every other decent place in town. Finally found a two double bed room at this place. Because I was the only male, I was consigned (thank God!) To sleep on the boat. The room smelled funny, the sheets were torn (but an attempt to mend them had been made), the TV was an ancient black and white without even UHF tuning, let alone cable, and the air conditioner cover was askew and couldn't be replaced. I definitely got the best night's sleep!

Two places in Dealer, MD that both are on opposite sides of the water overlooking the marinas: Dockside, located adjacent to Herrington Harbour North marina and Skipper's Pier on the other side. Both places offer outstanding food and great drinks either inside or outside. Can't wait for the boat to go back in the water!

On the Gulf Coast, the Crow's Nest Restaurant, Tavern & Marina which is located at the South Beach Jetty in Venice has excellent, moderately priced seafood. Fun fact: My late father-in-law, who was a carpenter/cabinetmaker was responsible for a lot of the work there.

Gosh, skibum. How many black faces were in that crowd? Asian faces? Arabic faces? This is truly disgusting. As much as I hope it's not a cynical effort by Trump to try to spin this incident in a way that allows him to declare martial law and suspend the Constitution, I'm not so sure. And any member of the Senate or H of R who still thinks that protesting the electors deserves to be hung for sedition. Trump truly tossed Pence under the bus with his comments accusing Pence of being "weak, disloyal and a disgrace", just as he has tossed every other follower who finally faced a Trump demand that they cannot stomach under the same bus. I can't understand why anyone could still think he is worth following. 😠😥

And I'm still deciding how to change my banner headline....

If Trump has any brains at all, he will be winging his way to Costa Rica on the 20th - the U.S. doesn't have an extradition treaty with Costa Rica. Too bad.😒

I just wish that tomorrow here in the DC Metro area it would be -2°F and blowing 40 to chill those magatards out a bit. Unfortunately, the prediction is for 50°😒

Baltimore (city) is closed tighter than a drum because of COVID. Paper Moon in Springfield, VA is open, but they are currently requiring the purchase of a $150 bottle of champagne or a $100 deposit on a private dance along with the normal cover to enter, as well as a meal purchase so they can be allowed to be run as a restaurant. Crystal City Restaurant is open in Arlington, VA, but be warned that unlike PM, the private dances there are zero mileage.
