Well, went over there tonight, place was "closed" for a private party. Saw one of the dancers I know pretty well out back catching a smoke, she was friendly but told me she has made more this week so far than she usually did in a month. She was told that the gas guys (and she confirmed that) were tired of "the local yocals" interupting their fun and payed the owner to close to the public after 6 pm. She also hinted that it's basically a brothel in there right now. This is going to be a regular thing for the foreseeable future, they are in the area for at least the next couple of months. I HOPE JOE CHOKES ON THE MONEY!
Looks like I need to find a new place.

londonguy, I agree to a point. Problem is where I am at is in the heart of the natural gas region of the north east, and in a couple of weeks the gas companies usually rotate in a new crew and many times it starts all over again. It's been getting worse last couple of years, and once one crew finds a good club, by word of mouth, almost every new crew knows about it and it pretty much gets taken over. I've seen most of the bigger clubs become unfavorable for locals, that why I was going to this place, was pretty much under the radar local go go bar, but I knew it was only a matter of time till someone found it. Guess it's time to start going to some of my old haunts to see if the situation at them is any better.

Seen this before, biggest problem is for like a month after their gone, girls expect you to tip like they did and get mad when you don't. I've pretty much taken a hiatus from there for a while, suppost to go out of town myself here in a couple of weeks, hopefully is better when I get back.

Use to be a strip club in central PA called Mustang Sallies (now it's a swingers club) that had a very very strict no touch policy, and if you went to the VIP with a girl the bouncer would remind you of that (yeah, like I'm gonna listen to him), and once in the back the girl would also say it. Was getting a dance once and my hands just wandered onto her legs, nothing wrong, was just a place to put them, well, he must have been watching the camera because he was in there in about 3 seconds, told me I violated the club rules and actually kicked me out, no chance for I'm sorry or anything. I never returned after that. But with such strict rules no wonder they couldn't make it as a SC.

I like weekday afternoons, usually more layed back, money usually goes further, and if there is one there that is bothering you all you have to say is I've gotta go back to work and then you can leave.

Problem is is that dancers usually are considered as independent contractors and therefore exempt from minimum wage policies. If they had to pay to dance they most likely weren't actually employees. Most clubs don't want the dancers actually as employees because then they also have to deal with taxes & benifts, and as contractors they don't have to have a reason to fire them, they just can.
Thing is, if they were actually any good they would be making way more than minimum wage.

Only place that found that possibly had anything going was Secrets, and only got some action 1 of the 4 nights I went. Rest of the clubs pretty lame. Best advice, drive to Dallas.

I've seen this happen before. Wether or not this actually goes to court, perception is to the locals that this is a bad place. If your a patron you might want to go somewhere else, LEO (and actually the whole community) is now watching who is comming and going. And how many dancers have already moved on to a different club just because they don't want to get caught? In the end it's really just to economically hurt the business to the point they hopefully either close or sell.

Twenty five years ago was a great time in the big apple, but not really anymore, there watched pretty close. Best bet is to either head into New Jersey or go up to Connecticut. Good luck.

Easy target in the public eye for LE to make it look like they are doing something. Thing is, who is the victim? Every person there was there because they wanted to be, and no one forced them. But I gues if you are a lazy police department that dosent want to go after real criminals (drug dealers, rapists, pedifiles, murderers, etc.), or an over zealioust district attorney that is up for reelection, why not go after a bunch of people just trying to earn a living. And why now? I'm sure that from day one they knew what was going on in there, so why now? Did someone forget to make their monthly donation to the police retirement fund or the district attorney reelection campaign?

It all depends on where I go. One place the stage is behind the bar, so sitting at the bar is a great plCe to be able to make some eye contact, plus they usually come around the bar afterwards for the dollar parade. But there is anouther that I always sit at a table, dancers usually don't bother the patrons at the bar because they are there mostly to drink. It really all depends on the club, the location of the tables to the dressing room door (if the tables are closer to the door your more likely to catch them before they get to the bar), as one place I use to go quite a bit if the dancers made it to the bar they were most likely to sit there ass down with someone and they almost never made it around to you. It all depends. Just remember, if you are sitting one place and it looks like anouther area is getting more attention from the dancers, just move there.

One I go to most, $20 to club house fee & $5 per VIP dance (dances are $20). If there is a DJ on (usually after 9), $10 to him. Although not required, they usually throw a few bucks at the barmaid if their having a good night.
