SJG, the girl Alabegonz is dealing with is a fucking LOON! She's not a civilian! She's not a girlfriend! She's a LOON! The way she's treating him now (and probably everyone else in her life) is like her little plaything, something to be at her beck and call 24/7. She's controlling and demanding and, from the sounds of things, treats people like shit.
And people, unfortunately like Alabegonz, let her. They don't stand up for themselves. They don't walk away. They let her ride roughshod all over them and then tell her "Thank you, ma'am, Can I have another?"
And, SJG, you ever stop to think that these adult women, whether civilian or not, consent to that rough treatment because they're afraid that if they don't, you'll start beating the shit out of them?

Back in the mid-80s, a little bit of snow followed my brother down to Florida when he moved there. Maybe a half an inch of the stuff, tops. Nobody knew how to drive in it, so the Highway Patrol was closing down the highways. My brother pulled up to one of those blockades, and they tried waving him back. He pointed down at his license plate: North Dakota. They opened the blockade and waved him on through.

Something a bit different than the gambling, strip joints, and all of the shows along the Strip is the Atomic Testing Museum -- the history of the atomic bomb. I got to see it last time I was in Vegas (2009), and it was a cool change of pace. Relatively inexpensive, too; ten bucks for a self-guided tour, if I remember right.

SJG, no, there aren't any MPs in my neck of the woods. But I have been to some in a few cities -- Winnipeg, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Vegas, and once in Dallas. The only time an attendant even got close to giddy was in Dallas. The vibe I got was they were expecting a really slow day and I was her first customer that afternoon.

Lopaw, I can empathize to a degree. I'm a pizza guy, and all too often when I'm making a delivery, some asshole will yell out, "That's my order" and then start laughing when I stop to look. It does get old and it does get annoying. But for this study (or whatever it is that the producers called it) to hold more validity for me, they need to perform this in more than just New York City. I don't know how much experience you've had with New Yorkers, but it really wasn't one of the highlights in one of my previous jobs. They tend to be a fairly abrupt, sometimes even tactless people.

$50-100? That sounds like a price she's using just to get in your front door, something you don't want to do. Like the others have warned, chances are there'll be some major upselling going in. I answered one stripper outfit that advertised in a rag back in the Twin Cities. Girl came to my door -- beautiful young woman -- along with her driver.
Luckily, he just gave my place a quick once-over, then I gave her the agreed-upon fee and she turned it over to him. Not 30 seconds after he was out the door, she told me she needed more money -- $150 -- that what I had just paid was for the driver and the company. Stupid me, I agreed to that. I asked her to wait in the entryway of my apartment building (yeah, I wasn't going to leave her alone in my apartment), then hit the nearest c-store for the required amount.
After I got back and we started to get to business, she said if I wanted FS, it'd cost more -- another $600. Yeah -- No. I settled for what little I was getting and called it a night.
For a couple lessons on giving her your main phone number, I met a low-level provider on one of those phone-chat services. All she offered was oral, and I thought it was going to be a one-time thing. One night after work, I was just settling in for some TV when I got a phone call: "Do you want some oral tonight?" No "Hi," no "How's it going?" Just "Do you want some oral tonight?" I was just glad no one else picked up the phone.
Another time, a few days after one provider visited me at my place, I got a call from another provider. I had no idea who she was, although she introduced herself as a friend of that first provider. I turned her down, then called that first provider. She said that, yeah, she knew that other girl; she was visiting from out of state and she had gone through the first provider's stuff and that's how she got my phone number.
If this is really your first time -- and if you're really balking at $50-100 -- wait, okay? This just isn't the time.

You have my vote to add "DS" to the TUSCL glossary. And there's no reason the other meanings couldn't be added as well. Any number of words and phrases have multiple meanings; readers would just need to infer which meaning is being used.

Yeah, paragraphs would've been nice, but the lack of them does lend well to the "SJG on a major acid trip" feel to this, um, story.

Don't forget that this was done in New York City and what looks like the more urban areas. The mindset's going to be a bit more...outgoing. Some of her body language -- very closed, somewhat tense, very tunnel vision, for a lack of a better term right now -- could've acted like a flag for some of those guys, too. If she were more relaxed, acted like it was just another daily walk for her and she belonged to the area, she might not have gotten quite so many reactions as she did.
