Clubber, thanks for the prod to check on why we have electors. I never even considered that the Founding Fathers had put the Electoral College in place as a sort of check and balance, as a way to stop any "tyranny of the majority" (or was that "masses"?). Either way, it was interesting to see that Hamilton wanted the Electoral College because he didn't have any faith in the masses due to their "naiveté." Maybe if more people understood this, they wouldn't feel so jaded and apathetic about voting.

I've seen it a couple of times, too. I don't know if it's just an entitled attitude some dancers cop (the sight of my boobs is worth x number of dollars, so no money, no boobs), but part of it could just be the energy in the place, too. Few customers and no energy and enthusiasm from them = a lack of energy and enthusiasm from the dancers. A lack of energy and enthusiasm from the dancers = a lack of energy and enthusiasm from the customers. But someone has to break the cycle, and considering the dancers are supposed to be the professionals there, IMO, it should be them.
It was a quiet night at one club in Indy. The dancer took the stage, lethargically walked around the pole a couple of times, then just sat down. Didn't do anything. The DJ yanked her (had her sent home, too, if I remember right). Course then the dancer he called up to the stage had to be the one sitting with me.
At another club in Indy, on another quiet night, I went back into the VIP with one dancer. When she took her top off, she told me I was the first guy to see her boobs that night -- and this was around midnight.
Course, in Fargo, I've also seen guys start to line up to tip one 50-year-old dancer I know before she's even started to take her clothes off. While she's pretty much just a strutter on stage, she still manages to own it and project a smoldering intensity and energy. She tends to get far more stage-side tips than a lot of the younger dancers who seem to think all they have to do is take off their tops and walk around.

I really hope you don't honestly believe your her one and only, John. And who's trying to convince you of that more -- her or you? And even if she is new, that doesn't mean she isn't already very well versed in Stripper Speak. (You just never know what kids pick up on the streets today <g>)
What's the traffic like in that VIP room? If it's looking like one guy at a time, you might want to keep an eye on who the dancers talk to before and after using the room, mainly bouncers or management, just to see if they're giving a cut of their money from extras to the house.

The former Schieks in Minneapolis sometimes had a really good dayshift buffet -- ham, roast beef, potatoes, and more -- it was really decked out. I don't remember if it was free, but if it wasn't, I'm sure it was pretty reasonably priced. Probably made for a really good loss leader.

Prim0, it'd be great if we could get another party into power, but as long as the electoral college exists, that isn't going to happen. The electoral voters are chosen by the two dominant parties; this keeps everything in their houses and prevents any new ideas and philosophies from reaching the Hill. Our national politics have sort of become incestuous, given this lack of new blood.
When the founding fathers created the electoral college, it made sense, due to the poor education and communications of their time; they needed what was essentially (as I see it anyway) proxy votes for the masses. Today, communications and tabulating the votes is virtually instantaneous. Our biggest problem now is a lack of vested interest in the process. And who can really blame these folks when they say that their vote doesn't count? At the national level, it really doesn't, resulting in a trickle-down effect of apathy at all levels.
We need to get rid of the electoral college. We need OUR voices heard.

Brad's is actually at $20 now (well, it was back in August anyway). Their special now is $175 for a half hour in a Brass Room (normally $200). Their VIP (IIRC) is $100 for a half hour.
As far as I know, all lap dances in Indianapolis are $20. The VIP at the Club Rio (Indy) is $150/half hour. Wish I could remember what the rates for some of the others are.
