    Red October 2011
+1, DFF. Our gov't is SO out of step with what we the people want. Idk about the rest of you, but I neither want higher taxes NOR more wars. We need to cut our military spending and cut social programs. Everything needs to take a hit. Dems won't give up social programs; that's their "baby" the same way the wars and the military are the lovechildren of the right. I'm getting more and more fed up and jaded with politics.

    Red October 2011
Forgetting to take the CAPSlock off really makes me want to read whatever it is you're screaming about. Also, please note that blaming one side for the failures of our entire gov't makes you look foolish and partisan, and that goes for cons and libs alike. You want change? Vote Ron Paul in 2012. But you won't, because you're hung up on the wedge that's been driven between people of varying political backgrounds. Furthermore, Hunt for Red October sucked. The only redeeming factor in that movie was Sean Connery. Groups like #Occupy and the Tea Party began as good-hearted, grassroots movements, but have since been hijacked by radicals on both sides. I attended #OccupyIndy and there were a good mix of people there, mostly middle-aged to older. Conservative and liberal viewpoints were also represented. So before you start chunnering that these protests are "liberal" and that the people attending them and participating in them are "vermin," go to one. I'd say the same thing to anyone talking shit about a Tea Party rally who has never gone. Go, and then get back to us. And stop screaming. You sound like a fucking two year old throwing a tantrum.

    Shooting at Atlanta's popular Follies
I'd be all for closing a club at 12am, because that *would* affect idiot motherfuckers like the one in the OP.

Alucard, who do gun control laws affect? The people who go through proper channels to undergo background checks and registration, or drunken rednecks and idiot thugs who use them for intimidation and robbery? You know it's possible to go into the ghetto and buy a gun, right? Or a horse auction. You pay cash and show no ID. Gun control laws aren't going to affect people who buy guns like that to use them like the moron in the OP.

Other dancers do the exact same thing to mine. Not even kidding. I go along with it but sometimes it can get a little uncomfortable.

    Red Bull
Three red bulls in a row makes me together too jittery, and though I can pull it together for lapdances, I'm still incredibly shaky. I experimented once :D I like 5 Hour Energy a LOT better. Or a strong coffee before work and a 5 Hour Energy later. Red Bull makes me crash HARD.

Inno has it right. If a housemom is fulfilling her duties, she deserves to be tipped. I'm simply biased because I've never had a good housemom experience If a girl can't get her shit together and bring four outfits, do her own hair/makeup, or police HERSELF, she needs not to be a stripper. If she's drunk/stoned, she needs to be sent home.

Poll: Better Compliment to a Dancer?
I hear compliments on my physicality 37322983 times a night. While I appreciate them if they're genuine --- and I can tell -- it always makes me happier if a guy comments on something deeper he likes about me. Ex: I like when guys compliment me on my grasp of the world around us or my levelheadedness. Or when I can get a guy roaring with laughter and he comments on how I should do stand-up. Little things like that are almost always better than "YER BOOTIFUL."

    When is best?
It looks like I might be staying on days, then. :D I like this thread. For dancers, the night crowd not only brings a bunch of loud, non-tipping youngbloods, it can also bring a much cattier, cutthroat group of girls. More money is to be made on nights, but weigh that against a potential group of youthful idiots and bitchier dancers. This is a very competive field, dancing, but I'm non-confrontational and I'd rather not fight with girls over stupid club BS. I'm there to get my money and leave and stay out of the drama. I'm convinced it depends on the club, though. Some clubs attract a great night clientele, whereas day shift is dead; others have great dayshift traffic and no one wants to work nights.

House moms are BS, imo. I've worked at two clubs with housemoms so far, and both of them were bitches. It's just another way to take more money from us, but that's just me. The bouncer is for security, the DJ can also provide that in a way, but a housemom? Just a person you pay money to for nothing. But that's just my opinion. Some girls like the housemom because she makes and sells outfits, can be an ex-dancer herself, and therefore will give tips, and can do hair and makeup really well. But that's not my experience.

    Polygamy....or not ?
Probably an "open relationship." Not legally recognized. However, three adults, one man, two women, can legally live together and all have sex and communally raise the children born of these relationships. It helps if the women are bi, I guess. *source - I have friends who take pleasure in weirding me out with fucking twisted stories about their open relationships.

    Update on Follies Atlanta
Thanks, Johnny. :) Here in Indy, PT's and Rick's Cabaret (formerly Brad's Gold Club) are "contract clubs," meaning if they employ you, you work at your own leisure. If you want to work 15 minutes or three hours and leave, cool. You do not tip out waitresses or DJs; you merely pay a house fee. It's a little high, but worth it, I suppose. The shift clubs are the ones that rape your money.

It's absolute BS how much money clubs take from the girls. If there were no topless/naked women, there would be no money for the bar. /endrant

All whores are lying, thieving strippers
Legalize it, tax it, just like any other commodity. Keep streetwalking illegal. I'd even say increase the fines/jailtime for streetwalkers and johns who buy them. If you're going to legalize prostitution, keep it in the brothels and regulate it. Same with drugs (if we ever get to that point.) I'd for one like to see it out of the strip clubs. I do think the legalization of prostitution would definitely put a damper on strip club activity -- why pay to be cockteased when you can go buy the real thing legally? -- but it might not. It would be interesting to see what would happen when/if such a controversial commodity is legalized.
