Kudos to shadowcat, but, given staxwell's list of heroes, it's probable that I have socks older than he (staxwell). Some of those guys weren't even sperm when I was in college.

My ATATF was thinking of getting tats, piercings, and a boob job (to increase her delightful C's). I begged her to abstain from all three. Not that there's probably much corollary, but she did abstain all the way to her old fart retirement at 23.

3LM, nothing you said says "PL". Yeah, you had a crappy experience, but it's as much luck of the draw as anything.
As to what I would have done or what you should have done, nobody really knows. What if you had passed on C and she was incredible, so much so that she'd make you forget A even existed?
OTOH, it appears from your story that you weren't sure that A was even going to be there when B first approached you. I think I would've definitely gone for B in that circumstance. You can always throw her off your lap in mid-dance if you spot A. ;-)
On the third hand, B might've turned out to be a dud. More often that not, I've found that reality rarely meets up to expectations, when expectations get very long.

@lopaw: I guess C actually liked me, then. ;-) Several times, she'd spend 2 hours or more talking with me, even on a busy night, for just a few dances spread throughout, *knowing* that there wasn't more coming.

Another good point. Had a friend who was a college professor, who should've been teaching grad-level classes, but he wouldn't play the academic bullshit game, so he kept getting stuck with freshman classes. The number of cultural references in his lectures (just to amuse himself) would've put Dennis Miller to shame.

bodaniels26, what a customer is attracted to is not an objective thing. The SC is the last place that I'm going to go into a full-on research project into distinctions. I like what I like.
