The article does state that 90% of kids would leave the profession if they could have long term housing. As it is, they are only allowed in a shelter for 90 days at a time, then they have to leave. canny is on to something here. Send them to long term shelter (boarding school ?), then college (with housing).

And don't get me started on the shit I saw in 9 years as a cop. Recently, I sat down and did the numbers. I was in over 5,000 fights during that tenure. Keep in mind that a cop can't ever afford to lose a fight, because if you lose a fight, there is a good chance you will lose your life. I've fought murderers, strong arm robbers, rapists, child molesters, petty thieves, and drunks. Yeah, as a sex worker, there is a chance that customers will cross boundaries, but firefighters run into burning buildings, EMT's and medical personnel are exposed to deadly diseases on a daily basis-even with taking precautions, and customer service reps take a tremendous amount of verbal abuse from people who feel that they have a right to abuse other people-often just for fun, and to get off on the power that they get from abusing this poorly trained person, who works for minimum wage, or perhaps ten percent above it.

For nearly 25 years, I had friends in the porn industry. I've even been to their houses, and found them to be more normal, than "normal people". They take their kids to school, they worry about property taxes, and are politically aware. Their business and personal lives are completely different, on purpose. With that said, when porn people talk about a porn actress who likes to be choked, they do so with sadness. It's because they know that actress is messed up and will end up in a bad way. I'm about to write an article about this. Democrats are all about regulation, and so are establishment Republicans. Tea Party Republicans, who keep a libertarian (small government-non regulation), are found in large amounts throughout the south and rocky mountain states.

Back in the 1960's, when my grandfather was near 80, as a very young lad, I was puzzled that my very tough and macho grandfather (he had been one of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders) I would be puzzled to see him use a coin purse. In retrospect, though, people did carry (real) silver dollars at one time, along with fifty cent pieces when movie admission was less than a dollar and you could get snacks for less than fifty cents. Perhaps coin purses, even for men, will return.

Here's a thought. Those of us who go would need to know where to get those two dollar bills. We would need a sticky, or section on the site listing where to get 2's in various cities, i.e. this bank or that, etc.
