I'm not sure why this is so unbelievable. According to the US bureau of Labor Statistics, the typical household spends 5% of their budget on entertainment.
We all make 350k. What's 5% of 350k?

Even more creepy is driving around the suburbs in the summer and seeing fundraising car washes. I've seen many of these fundraisers sponsored by fundamentalist churches and they have these REALLY underaged girls in skimpy swimsuits prancing about the street trying to attract customers.
I'm a big perv but that's over the top even for me.

Let me throw one out that might be off the radar a bit. Lansing, Michigan
In the 90's, Detroit was more cracked down than it is now. I know many guys that will attest that Lansing had the hottest girls in the state. Between the Deja Vu and a club cablled Omar's, they had talent that equalled or bettered Detroit. I'm mainly talking in terms of physical attractiveness, not necessarily extras.
Anymore, "wasteland" is a good description.

He was a bit before my time. I never saw him play.
But it's really difficult to compare players of different eras. Cam Newton is bigger than most of the offensive lineman of the 60's.
Brown played against defensive players who smoked cigarettes at halftime. He played against players who didn't spend the off season working out. They were so poorly paid most had to work real jobs in the off season. They showed up at camp fat and out of shape.
Brown may be the greatest of all time. It makes fun conversation but you just can't make a fair comparison.
