Missouri Strip Club Laws?!?
Seems like the new Missouri law takes effect August 1st. I am told that it will be appealed by a group of club owners, but I am not sure how that affects things during the interim. There is increasingly successful passage of laws nationwide which are significantly reducing what can be enjoyed at a strip club. These laws are being sponsored by conservative right-wing Republicans in Missouri. I am under the impression that it is a similar political flavor in other states. They are citing the erosion of "family values" as the impetus for writing the laws. I believe that family values are being challenged by those who proclaim that you will go to hell if you don't subscribe to the christian way. Imagine scaring the shit out of a child with such misrepresentations.

Missouri law not a big loss because there are very few clubs in Mo that are "destinations" anyway. TNT in KC is (was) the exception. If a similar law is passed in KS, it will be a bigger blow because there really are some good clubs scattered around the state.

I am happy to report that I am going to cruise on over to ESL this coming weekend. It's been a couple of years since I've been over there - I'm ready!

WOW! Jack Corbett has certainly come a long way with his site. For years he has had a small site that dealt primarily with St. Louis Metro East clubs (ESL). I think he lives in that area, and is very knowledgeable about those clubs, although frankly the most informative review today was about the all male dancers club in Centerville. LOL. Oh well. I have always thought he kept pretty current regarding what's going on in ESL.
Just a fat, creepy old pervert.
It's been a while...
gmd, you're right, high BP - and unfortunately it's pharmaceutical remedy - causes many problems including reduced SC fun. Lose weight, regular cardio exercise, and better diet are a must. Also consider stress reduction / relaxation techniques. And it goes without saying, no smoking. I am beginning to get my game back, but It took way to many "it's just not my day" sessions with dancers before I started doing anything about it.
I will point out that our current premium level was set almost a year ago; long before it was clear that health care reform would even stand a chance of progressing in congress.
Health Insurance
Mine went up 50% over the past 2 years as well. Simple explanation: because they can. I'm not sure what ever happened to the concept of antitrust. When was the last time you heard the word collusion? At least oil companies have a rigged futures market to blame their ten cents a gallon overnight increases on. Notice how they all do it exactly the same time and amount....they're just being competitive.

Premiums go up, coverage goes down. Don't really know if the new health care reform will change things much for us. Wife and I had dubious event this year when monthly health insurance premium for the two of us surpassed our mortgage payment. Huge profits for insurance companies and hospitals.
Cameras been there for 20 years. Lots of rumors about what they can see, but they can't see anything if nobody watches the monitor upstairs or plays back the recorder - which has been the case for 20 years as well.

Strip Clubs in Trouble?
Making good profits in the strip club business isn't "fall off a log" easy like it was a few years ago. Except where LE is keeping close tabs on what is happening, mileage is significantly higher as a result of the recession. Consolidation in the industry probably won't have much of a dampening effect on mileage as the clubs that the sharks want to acquire are usually not above-average mileage to start with. They are well-run clubs with a liquor license and dancers who are less likely to color outside the lines thereby resulting in minimal LE oversight.

How I get Pussy in Strip Clubs
This article definitely overthinks the concept of how to fuck a stripper. Forget the kids, parents, drugs, tats, boyfriends, etc. Some girls will tell you they fuck for dollars, and some you will have to waste some money on before you enter that realm. One think for sure, most strippers will fuck you at some price point.

Price Increases and What Mandates Them
.....no girl should be performing dances for less than 20 a dance period. End of question. Do I understand that management is suggesting that you inflate your price to $40 per dance so as to net $20 during a 2 for 1?? That's pretty crazy thinking. Why not just eliminate 2 for 1's...and the DJ as well, since then he'll have no purpose whatsoever. What is being peddled in a strip club is not dances, but rather some degree of satisfaction. It includes the vibe between the custy and the dancer, the dollars being exchanged for it and a whole lot of other things like how cold the beer is and when was the last time the guy...well, you know. There is no sticker shock! Guys will not pay more than $20 for a unit of satisfaction...never have and never will :) So throw out your BS about supply and demand, because here is how it really works: if the rate for the amount of time (song) goes up, then the concentration of satisfaction delivery must go up as well. This doesn't mean dancing faster, it means adding extra "satisfiers", to the performance. If you raise your rate to $40, your demand for a soft chair to sit on will go up because your supply of custy laps to sit on will go down. Remember that the chair has no money.

Riveting! I especially liked the reinforcement that all feelings, motions and even physical properties seem to be exaggerated when in a heightened state of arousal, as the layout of the restaurant is described as 365 degrees!

Being a Stripper without Doing "Extras"
This thread has been pretty thoroughly chewed-up at this point, so I'm going back to the OP and point out a few things that I think are relevant. jessxxbby is only comfortable in “real strip clubs”, where there is no touching, and the entire experience is based on a fantasy “that we know we can’t get in real life”. She’s good with all that IMO, as there are a few low value clubs around where she will be happy. Even the law allows some touching in most locales, so this “real strip club” thing is a fantasy that her inner-stripper has generated to justify her poorly crafted business model as a sex worker. She implies that giving $20 blow jobs makes a stripper a “slut”. I agree totally. Undercutting the market by charging less than half the going rate for a service could indeed brand you with a derogatory name. I also agree with her that it *does* take a “certain kind of person” to get a degree in Programming - having the ability to concentrate on infinitely boring detail for very long periods of time with a litre of Pepsi as your only nourishment. During the background check for that job, she can proudly say “god, no” when they get to that question about whether she swallowed when giving blow jobs to put herself through school. Rant. Of course it is. She’s pissed off because she got into a business that is changing and she’s being left in the dust economically by not becoming a part-time p4p'er. She thought all she had to do was get up on stage and show off her tits, and she would be financially independent. Narcissism clouded her market research. I agree that she and her no-touch pals probably give "one hell of a dance"...in "real" fantasy clubs where they make losers pay $20(non-fantasy) to sit on their hands in a cafe chair. Hope graduation is soon!

Letter to the strip clubs from a young black man
I agree with IrishLad. My father remembers overt racism, but he still had black acquaintances. I don’t remember racist practices at all and I had many opportunities to interact with blacks. My children have black friends, and my grandkids will likely have black friends as well. I expect that by the time my great-grandkids are adults the only remnants of racism will be in a very few small segments of society. My SC hobby hasn’t really changed my opinion regarding racism or my views toward blacks, but I must say I have had several OTC relationships with black women, and I am amazed at both the sensitivity and frankness they can exhibit. I understand why a white guy like myself might want to marry a black woman…and it’s not really about sex.

Levels (Journey) of a Strip Club Hobbyist
I'm sorry. I was putting waaaay too much thought into this "play(er)" concept. In my neighborhood, the girls might describe a guy with money, a hard dick, and a notion to do something about it as "fun". The girls might say, "he's fun", meaning his goal is to whip it out and stick it in...and pay an appropriate sum for doing that. Or they might ask me, "you wanna' have fun?"..meaning we can go in VIP, I won't play keep-away with my fuck hole, and we'll have reasonably good sex...usually at working girl prices. Maybe the "player" moniker is reserved for those dudes who have so much influence over a dancer that it causes her to suddenly have sex with him, where she has never has sex with any customer before. Maybe she does it for free just because he is "the player".

Levels (Journey) of a Strip Club Hobbyist
I have never had a dancer want to know "how I want to play". I suppose if a dancer did ask me that, I might tell her "$100 fuck". We would negotiate from there. That's about the extent of "skill" involved in it. I guess I understand the concept of "player" - but I'm not sure it's universal terminology among strippers.

First Missouri, Now Kansas: Sexually Oriented Business State Laws
Putting the Missouri strip virtually out of business has cost hundreds of actual jobs. Albeit, minimum wage jobs for the record. The GOP is now bragging that by eliminating the Corporate Franchise Tax 280,000 jobs will be created because corporation worth over $5mm will hire more workers as a result.... Horseshit! Business doesn't hire workers just because taxes are lower, they hire workers because demand for their products and services is increasing. Do companies move to Missouri because of lower taxes? Of course! But most states have eliminated the franchise tax, so the only reason for a company to move to Missouri would be because their executives can get luke warm lappers...ooops, now that's about gone too.

How to enjoy SEXtracurricular Activities (Without the SO Finding Out)
My wife went on a four day business trip to Europe. I had just discovered TUSCL, so I booked a quick trip to Tampa. I arrived late in the evening, rented a car at Tampa Intn'l and made my way to Tanga (isn't there anymore because the highway was widened). Got my first nude lap dance - pretty lame I thought. From there it was over to Dale Mabry and Mons Venus - I fully appreciate the chat about that club when I read it now! Across the street to 2001 next. Waffle House next, then found a room at 4:00am. Next afternoon included more clubs - Ybor, and I almost set-up OTC at Pink Pony. Caught a late evening flight home. Picked-up wife at the airport the next day, and my SC vacation was a success and totally invisible! A few days later wife calls me at work and says, "when did you go to Tampa?"...rental car company had send me a postcard thanking me for renting the car at the airport. I mumbled something about just needing to get away for a day or so, but 12 years later she still makes some remark about "Now don't run off to Tampa while I'm gone", when she leaves town. I never went back to Tampa, but I did do a similar short time frame SF & TJ trip the following year. I checked the mail before she did for the next week!

For the right price….a cautionary tale
I was in a club when an inebriated customer sitting at the stage suggested to the dancer on stage that she resembled a pig he had on his farm. She sat down in front of him on the stage and asked him to repeat himself, and he did so. She removed one of her dancer shoes and struck him across the face with the spiked heal of the shoe. The resulting gash bled profusely right there on the stage itself. As he got up and staggered toward the door, the bartender handed him a towel to press against the wound. He disappeared out the door refusing offers to call for medical assistance. No need to get others involved lest the farm wife would find out just where he incurred this roundhouse blow. The dancer was fired on the spot. I never did hear if the guy filed charges.
