Davids you're not alone with your observations - check out these messages.
Some guys would feel a lot more powerful in strip clubs if they remember they are the ones paying for it with their money. I once negotiated a better pizza price at Domino's getting them to match a much lower Little Caesar's price and then they delivered it on top of that. However, someone must have caught onto the fact that Little Caesar's didn't deliver so I didn't get that deal to last with delivery included. I once had a dancer tell me I made her feel like a customer. I asked her if she wanted to do a dance or to do a two for one at a given price. I guess I've done that before with that particular dancer. I'm glad davids and the bad dancers are staying out west. I believe they are a match made in heaven, lol. I usually find most dancers are nice but maybe that's just because there aren't very many scam artists from the west here in the southeast. We kick them back where they come from and then they say there is no money to be made around here.

davids give it up man, these guys aren't going to change their mind
That's an example of bad management. I see where some of your anger comes from now. I feel differently because I had a different experience and got my money back. I even felt like I had the ability to make the dancer who stole my money have a miserable life getting her in trouble or fired at other clubs but I felt like working as a stripper for the next 10 years just scrapping by would be enough punishment for her. She'll probably find someone by then and then leave the business. Just the way I saw things in my mind. It seemed real strange when I kept running into her though.

davids give it up man, these guys aren't going to change their mind
I have to agree that many strippers and I believe many people in the general population have what I consider to be bad ethics. As I was getting a dance from a stripper who has a nice attitude towards me, she was talking a lot and mentioned some dancers are good at getting things out of guys pockets. However if a guy was so stupid as to not check if he still had his wallet after leaving the lapdance area, she would take half the money out and then ask around if someone forgot his wallet. I find myself checking all pockets for my wallet, car keys, and possibly tip money now if I get a dance. I know if something slips out of my pocket by accident, I probably won't get it back. So I will agree bad ethics are everywhere. There are still a few people who will return wallets with all the money still in it but there seems to be less people like that around nowadays. If you're in a strip club, your chances probably dramatically.

I remember someone once asked me (don't know why someone started this line of questioning with me) if you found a bag of cash and no id and the bad was full of lots of cash, would you just keep it or turn it in to the police so that the rightful owner could be found? I believe my answer was that I would investigate what the law was if it was a lot of money. I know if I found a small amount of cash such as $5, I would just keep it and not worry about it if there was no obvious owner. Now if there was id with the cash or specifically a wallet, it's ethical to return everything since you can determine the rightful owner. Of course in the example above, I probably would try to determine the owner (with help) since I wouldn't feel right about the possibility I was spending some old lady's entire life savings. When I hear someone would keep something that someone else lost with their id in it, I think that is the same as stealing. I don't really know if the general population has higher ethics than strippers but I get the feeling that money hungry people would likely keep any money they can even if it's wrong. Unless the money hungry people have high ethical standards against stealing and scamming.

Who would you rather tip or get a dance from hot young crappy attitude or older?
I have been noticing a pattern lately in at least one large club where a hot looking but 18 or 19 something looking dancer looks killer on stage but when guys go to tip, she displays a bad attitude as if everyone is lucky just to be in her presence. Well I might be slightly biased remembering one such girl in a cheerleader type skirt not bothering to take off her top the whole time. Not too many people tipped her. I happened to be sitting near the stage and she probably sat at my table out of convenience and asked "wanna dance"? Instead of just saying no thanks I was curious what she charged so I said I was waiting for the two for one special which they routinely do every hour at that club and most dancers will do anytime at that club. Her response "I don't do two for ones." Her overall attitude and a couple of other young dancers attitudes are leading me to be much less likely to tip any more 18 or 19 year olds unless they go out of their way for me now. Maybe I should clarify that I have noticed this at one large club. I haven't really noticed this at small clubs. Perhaps the young dancer was charging more for dances than anyone wanted to pay and she didn't make hardly any money. That would explain her attitude a bit.

I believe a dancer with a few years experience say at 21 or 22 will have a different attitude than say an 18 year old. In spite of that, I prefer dancers with a good attitude that seem interested in me and are more likely in their mid to late 20's or even 30's in a few cases. Interacting with an 18 year old dancer almost seems like asking for trouble now especially if they are upset about not making any money near the end of their shift.

I believe strippers are both nice and evil. It's just the luck of the draw as to who you run into. davids must have really bad luck. :)

    How to say no
I'm going to have to remember a dancers stage name now just to try that "I'm waiting on someone" line. I was thinking maybe I could make up a name such as mercedes and if the dancer says she doesn't know her, I could just say she is new. I'll have to see how long that lasts.

Does anyone go to strip clubs to look for a girlfriend?
hmmm, I don't mind affection thrown into the deal. I usually want excellent lap dances at a price no higher than $10 or $15 per song. Now if the dancer wants to sit and chat and show some affection or freebies in addition to the $20, $25, or $30 I pay her for two dances, then she is welcome to it. I once drew the line at $10 per song but I guess I've gotten slack.

Often, it's not her SAFETY, it's her BOYFRIEND!!!!!!!!
but what if a stripper says she wants to go home and invites you with her when you never spent a dime on her? Is she insulting you thinking "this guy looks like a bad ass criminal, he could be a good boyfriend"

I'll agree with shadowcat that some dancers seem to do nothing but scam. It's probably around the percentage that davids claims is the percentage of good dancers perhaps 2%. You can be nice to them and treat them well but the only thing they do and they do it to everyone is to scam and cheat. The less cautious you are asking questions ahead of time or noticing little things, the more likely these scam artists are to cheat you but they cheat you regardless. If other guys are like me, they get a bit ticked off about it but hopefully the dancers go back west where davids lives after no one is willing to tip them here anymore. The scam artists are usually here one day and gone the next. It just seems to be a hazard of strip clubs where any dancer can be hired and the guy doesn't do an hour long interview process before getting a dance. It doesn't happen very often but if it does I just move on. The simplest act of scamming in my opinion is starting in the middle or near the end of a song and counting that as a dance.

FONDL you are just plain wrong if you are accusing everyone who has ever been scammed as not being polite to a dancer ahead of time. I bet you put every dancer through an extensive interview process though before you get a dance and/or your club screens dancers before they are hired. Some people like to just do things (Nike commercial drummed this into some heads years ago) such as get a dance on occasion and don't always wait to interview the dancer first.

    Money showers
My thoughts when someone showers a dancer in money is usually either that guy has lots of money to burn or he doesn't get out to strip clubs very often. He could have easily chatted with her and gotten lap dances for that much money just thrown away. I see dancers picking up money off the stage a lot so that seems like no big deal. Easy money for the dancer.

    who needs extras?
If a dancer wanted to perform free extras in a club without asking me first, I would hope that she wouldn't and instead just ask to see me OTC. If I get intimate with a girl, I prefer some privacy.

Customers who have been TURNED DOWN by strippers when ASKING FOR A PHONE NUMBER
Here's a surprise. I lied. I have never gone around asking for a bunch of stripper's phone numbers. I'm not that interested in most strippers I meet. I don't want a relationship, I just want to have fun while I'm at a club. I believe there is a disclaimer on this site that you can't necessarily believe everything you read.

What if your sexy neighbor was a stripper?
It's highly unlikely I know anyone where I live who is a stripper. I think I'm in a dead zone for strip clubs and it's an hour's drive to the closest one. I would actually prefer a little more distance between me and my neighbors. I don't like to be woken up when my neighbor is playing her music too loud or visitors motorcycles are too noisy. However I try to stay on good behavior with my neighbors, when they only live about 20 ft away from you, they seem a lot closer. At least I don't live in an apartment like I did in college. I remember waking up one morning hearing moaning sounds from the girl downstairs but I knew she was not alone.

If a stripper seems to LIKE you, do you ASK her out on a date? No, however I do ask them if they are part of the RomanticLover and davids dating service where every stripper is available for some outside the club fun for only $5.

    Club Promotions
I was actually going to go to one club I haven't been to in months. As I drove up to it, I noticed a big crowd of cars parked along the road and realized they must be doing an anniv ersary party. That was not what I was looking for so I just turned around and left.

Does anyone go to strip clubs to look for a girlfriend?
Does anyone go to strip clubs to look for a girlfriend? Sometimes I might. I go pick out clubs where I think RL might be going to visit and then warn the dancers. They thank me and then ask me out to show their appreciation for helping them with safety issues with some potentially dangerous customers. Sometimes though, I get so many dancers wanting to go out with me to show their appreciation, I just have to say no to some of them. I wish I didn't but my time is limited.

Strippers aren't always the brightest bunch of employees.
Speaking of similiar but never spoken famous Greenspan stock market statements, I believe guys may experience irrational behavior as soon as a pretty dancer removes her clothes. Suddenly the intelligence of guys drops dramatically putting the dancer back on top. I guess it's a topsy turvy world we live in.
