I think there was an episode of T J Hooker that began that way. Shatner jumped on the hood of the jeep and calmed the guy down while Heather Locklear got the guy in the Infiniti. The all agreed to give up their criminal ways and never go to a strip club again. Then they went to a commercial for the Sony Walkman.

I'll clue you in on something...but this is just for the two of us...(sotto voice) I realized that Pootie is Juice. But this was actually the one post as Pootie that was really funny.
But I think you should think about your own role in degrading the conversation. When I started the posts were about 50-50 jokes and more serious stuff (trip reports, more serious discussions of strip clubs, etc). That was a good mix. Largely people didn't invade the serious posts with crap or invade the jokes with demands that they leave.
Now yo come here...to the group W bench...and say you'll stop posting racist remarks and contribute to the board when the joking ceases. Hmm...I'd like you to think about that for a moment. I admit I prefer the approx 50-50 mix. The gentleman's agreement not to crap in each others houses would be nice. But I'll say a firm NO to racist BS regardless of any other considerations.

I hear what you're saying Rick, but I respectfully disagree. Yes, Juice is still posting here but he is back to largely writing threads similar to those he wrote when he began joking around here. I feel things coexisted well then. Perhaps they can't, but folks don't seem to be trying. Trolling the trolls who might be WILLING to coexist probably won't help though. Indeed, trolling those who aren't willing to coexist won't help.
One man's troll is another man's joke -- and I think people can find ways to coexist. Or TDHQ can let this play itself out... That will be funny, but pointless.

So how many folks have attacked Shadowcat? It was Juice. And that was when folks really turned against Juice. I enjoy most of Juice's antics and I found that flame war tiresome and inappropriate.
So, if you really come from the time when people like shadowcat, DandyDan, Kyle1111, Yoda, Lopaw, Chandler, Shadowcat, JC2003, DandyDan, BookGuy, Clubber, Chitownlawyer and others put lots of good stuff on the board I say that you should tell those folks "come back folks and/or continue posting". The crazy shit CAN coexist with more serious stuff. Juice's ostracism proves that the system can work. All that needs to happen is folks react negatively to invading threads inappropriately. A polite "don't do that" followed by closing ranks and saying "no" as a group.
But if you think attacking folks who joke around will drive them away...yeah, lostsaluck with that.
If you're trying to be funny...BRAVO!!! But I still worry that you're going to burn out.

C'mon guys. Let's take bets. I have. Congress approves. We lob about 20-50 cruise missiles ($600K to $1.4M per missile, plus costs for deployment of naval assets necessary for action). Declare victory. Assad will do this again if he feels it is necessary. Then we'll repeat. Still better than invading.
You know what would have happened if Mitt Romney had won? Assad would use chem weapons. Congress would have approved.. But "strip club related" is surprisingly limited. So the intersection between "regularly posts crazy shit" and "related to strip clubs" is just about TUSCL.
