I think Julia Roberts got hot as she got older. In Pretty Woman she was cute. In Closer (the movie where a pretty little boy named Natalie Portman played a stripper) she was hot.
To be fair, Natalie Portman also got hotter as she aged.

I had a waitress give herself a ten dollar tip the other day. It's possible she was working her way around to give me the change, but I was trying to get out the door before turning away any more dancers so I just shrugged it off.

Dollar dances at Sugar's in San Antonio aren't that bad. It's been a while but the dollar dance sets they did at Men's Club in Raleigh, NC also were decent. Somebody out there in NC would need to set the record straight on that. As I recall, a few girls who were mostly there to get drunk and grab dances from fellow drunks did better dollar dances than actual private dances in back.

Convenience. I was busier than busy, and strip clubs were there during hours I wasn't working in places where I had nothing else to do. Things didn't stay convenient, but that's a different post.

I liked the clubs in Fayetteville. Good energy and pretty good talent. A lot of the better spots are gone now, but a couple of good ones are still there. There's a lot of testosterone in the air around there for sure, though. Secrets was ok, but I haven't been there in a few years. If I knew a dancer I'd like to see (PSD for instance) was in there's nothing about the club that would keep me from going. The club in Southern Pines I've been to but don't remember much about it.

In the current climate, some of my local clubs are open and some not. Some dancers took regular jobs and stayed in them, others with home clubs still closed are in different clubs waiting for theirs to reopen. DougS said it way back when about comfort level with management and other dancers bring a factor. A few I knew became travel dancers when other towns opened before this one. Some just stayed home if they had someone to take care of them. What the dancers chose to do was all over the map, just liked you'd expect.

Dolfan's take sums it up pretty well. If you start with ancientlurker's ideas on attractiveness and sub it for perceived value, you've got a fairly standard product scenario. Or you could look at it differently as sexual gratification being the product with dancers as a commodity. Many of the TUSCL threads on "mongering" do that.

When it comes to clubs, if there's a good one around your best bet is carpe diem. The great clubs have been dropping like flies. I suppose by now the decline is "real" with the middling clubs slowly fading away. It'd be nice to keep more options between high class and hood rat joints. Follies was an anomaly with top shelf talent deep into a packed lineup at cut rate prices.

I get that line of thinking, but "hot or not" is better than a bunch of bickering threads back and forth. At least it's talking about chicks. Remember when it was ok to say a chick wasn't hot without it being some sort of bullying or shaming? Not in tuscl land because there are barely any community social standards, but other places that have activist users keeping those companies hopping to avoid bad press.
