Pass the SpinnersThis is the first I’ve heard of $35 VIP prices, I just begrudgingly got used to $30 in VIP, and have been paying that rate for months on dayshift. Hopefully they’re not following the HiLiter model of differential VIP pricing at different times, but it is the same owner. Curves has a lot of very hot, and very friendly friendly dayshift dancers, YMMV. However, food service has always been sketchy and slow. I once waited 45 minutes for a cold burger, took one bite and was so pissed I just walked out. However I’m not there for the food!

Phx mongers weigh in?I have never been to jaguars and don’t know any Phoenix mongers that spend a lot of time there. Was formerly known as an ethnic (black) club, although I’ve heard it now has a more diverse group of dancers. Clientele, not so much.

Would You Climb Mount Everest?Hey skibum609 - you’re an attorney - so how much protection from a negligence/failure to warn claim does a property owner get by putting up a warning sign? Maybe they should post a warning sign at Everest base camp, although I’m aware of at least one death of a college student who took a field trip just to base camp, developed pulmonary edema from the 17K altitude and died while being evacuated.

Would You Climb Mount Everest?I was fascinated by himalayabound’s comment and story. I’ve done some reasonably risky outdoor activities on my life, but am having to now admit that my age is a limitation. I am super envious of those with the youth and drive to attempt things like Mt. Everest, despite the high chance of death. Krakauer’s book (Into Thin Air) is probably the best hands on description of what it’s like to be there.
A couple of years ago I climbed the back cable route up Half Dome in Yosemite. It was nothing compared to an Everett expedition but it was epic for me. I can’t imagine what it must be like to stand on top of the world!

- Noon Wednesday Visit
If you were there today (5/31), I was there at the same time! Some of my favorites were in the house, some were not, but I had fun VIP excursions with three of my favorites. The areas behind regular VIP on both sides are the champagne rooms, where a dancer can be signed out for a set period of time. These rooms are very comfy and private, and come with drinks, but are also very pricey. They get a lot more use on weekend nights when there are pro athletes, and other rich PLs in the house. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone signed out to one of the CRs in the daytime, my guess is he had a fun time with his dancer!

Be careful who you talk toThese tales are good reminders to be cautious. But, there is real value in having one or a very few trusted PLs to share information with. I worry a lot more about sharing too much with dancers. They know dancers at other clubs, they talk, they are connected on social media, and they use information for their own advantage, sometimes vindictively.
I’m also amazed at the stuff twig was provided by a corporate client! I thought those days were long gone.

Not really missing strip clubs Nice quote, also quoted by Alan Rickman’s character in “Die Hard”. I’ve caught a few unicorns over the years, and they were all special. My first unicorn has now been my ATF for more than 20 years. But, I always keep current unicorns in play, just to keep me on the hint!

Phoenix vs. Denver - oh yeah, you’re gonna have way more fun in the desert. Now, as a newcomer, how did you line up a local SB so quickly?

Tipping for cheap ($10) dancesI don’t tip on $10 floor dances, but I do buy multiple dances unless they are completely lame. At the HiLiter in Phoenix, I let the Cubans line up and usually get a couple of dances from each girl, sometimes more if they are extra fun. They ALL hit me up about VIP, but I only take them back occasionally. Nobody complains about the lack of tip when I hand them $20 for two dances. Floor dances at the HL can range from pretty tame to quite wild, depending on the girl.

motorhead's thread got me thinkingGreat thread! I was scrolling through and saw a lot of favorites, and Mike710 finally mentioned Mississippi Queen by the amazing Leslie West and Mountain. My contribution is Stay With Me by Faces. Rod Stewart’s best era IMHO.
Finally - wld4tatas - Venus by Shocking Blue??? Are you kidding me? You are really dating yourself with that one bud!

What Type of PL Uses TUSCL?When I look around inside my favorite clubs, I always wonder if the dudes around me are on this site. I’m surprised more dancers are not, or maybe they are here under the radar!

Taking Stock of the Hobby....Would you do it all again?I don’t have any regrets, except that I would have found a way to pursue more OTC opportunities when I was younger. The common tale that I’m living through is that when I was younger I had an almost unlimited sex drive but limited money, and now that I’m older I have plenty of hobby funds, but more limitations, both lifestyle and physiological realities. However, overall I have a lot of great memories, just hope I’ll still be able add more going forward!

Phoenix Clubs - What should I check out?Great point about summer Mark94. Dancers bitch about slow summers, but it’s great for local customers - no crowds and sometimes desperate dancers! Also, if you have time to make the 2 hour drive to Tucson, we have some local options. You can reply here or send me a PM.

Phoenix Clubs - What should I check out?The reviews posted for Phoenix clubs give a pretty accurate picture of the local scene. More dive bar with higher mileage suggests Bandaids. Maybe also Chica’s but be aware there maybe a language challenge. HiLiter and Sugar 44 have more of a neighborhood bar feel, and can have higher mileage depending on the dancer. Candy Store is best described as a neighborhood bar that also happens to be a strip club. Bourbon Street has better talent overall, but generally lower mileage. In my opinion Scottsdale clubs are a waste of time and money, and don’t even think of going to Dream Palace! Enjoy!

site changesAs always, thanks Founder for all your work on the site. A couple of observations for your consideration:
The blinking chat button is hard to see. If someone doesn’t have their profile set up to get an email telling them they have a message, they can miss it. Could this be coded to change color to something brighter like red, instead of just the grayscale blink it does now?
Also, on our own profile view, we can see our reviews, articles, and discussions we’ve started, but it appears I can no longer see a list of all my comments over the years to discussions and reviews. Can this be restored? Thanks again!

Another one bites the dust! Bye Scrub. Hope to see you in the club!Scrub was a strange bird for sure. I remember when he first started in the SC scene maybe 20 years ago, we used to trade messages about dancers at the HL in Phoenix. There was a very gorgeous, and very popular dayshift dancer back then that he was supposedly fucking in VIP once or twice a week, but he seemed pretty humble and surprised by it. It was over several years that his online persona became much more aggressive, pissing on everyone in the process. I always got useful intel from him in PMs, but didn’t understand why he was such a douche to everyone in “public”. It will be interesting to see if he finds a way to resurface here.
