Muddy; When you say "next gen" are you referring primarily to age, or tenure on tuscl ? Many long time tuscl posters (myself included) are boomers (born 1946 - 1964) or earlier. Some more are Gen X, but not that many obvious Millennials (born 1981 - 1996), nor Gen Z (1997 - 2012). I'm convinced that there's some Gen Z new trolls stuck in their mom's basement, but some quality new members like B2K are Gen X. So in some cases, new doesn't necessarily mean young.

I haven't been to club since 2006. It appears that PHC may now be a "make it rain" type of club. Another reason besides the ones listed in my 2006 review not to return to club.

Can I have 15 minutes of my life back ? I stopped watching this at 15 minutes. I basically got that a couple of college professors are still trying to figure out how to use it, and that a bunch of 11 - 18 yo's are playing with it.
There's a lot of buzz about it with a lot of buzz words/talking points (increased productivity, efficiency, etc) but no practical example on how it works. GIGO comes to mind- garbage in, garbage out. C-GPT requires a gigantic data base that may not always be current or accurate, it will spit out a report based on that flawed data.
In the wrong hands, could have detrimental effect on society. A government or other entity could control just how much electricity your residence uses, or how many miles you drive your car. (oops, you should only drive X miles per year, sorry, you've already driven it, can't go to grandmothers house for Christmas). Do we really want that ?
Besides figuring out wtf AI is and htf to use it, the question of how much we should use it needs to be determined. Ultimate solution might be humans are going to die anyway, why not just let them die, and let earth revolve around the sun devoid of any human life. Do we really want that ?

Did mgt. finally come to their senses and make it a flat $20 per visit vs springtime $25 fee for 1st dance, and $18 per additional dance, paid in advance ? The 15 minute rental fee for my '21 and '23 visits were $60. Did dancer give you a multi dance discount from $40/per fee, or did you just pull those figures out of your ass ?

Just did a number crunching exercise for a hypothetical level of fun for a month at my go to FL club. The cost for equivalent level of fun I had in 2019 has increased by ~13% in 2023. My AGI has just gone up by single digits.
I say hypothetical, because my behavior is slightly different. I end up spending a bit more for individual visits, but going a couple less times per month. So overall spending less. Also spread among fewer dancers.
Another factor in a northern area is some clubs have taken to scanning driver licenses, a deal breaker for me. Hence I've gone without visiting any clubs at all for several weeks in the summer.

Papi: Thanks for the update, and best wishes to you and your aunt. As a minnow, I'm sorry to hear that you felt like a fish out of water on your recent club visit. A mitigating factor may be that Sat. afternoons aren't the strongest time to visit club.
It's good to take a break if you're not mentally/emotionally into it. Much like a too much sugar or caffeine let down. One upside is that the 1st club visit after a long dry spell have been among my best, IME.
