Last Visit Before ShutdownPapi, it's my understanding that dancers keep their tips, and pay a flat shift fee to work there. Mons is not heavily staffed, with maybe 1 bouncer/security, no DJ. There's this thing called inflation. Cover charge was $20 for the longest time (like nearly 10 years or so), recently went up by 10% to $22. The "$20 - $30, negotiable" dance prices were that way for ~ 18 years before going up. Figure out the inflation rate for that. Not saying I agree with price increase, but you can see where the rationale is coming from.

People are going broke over thisPapi- How long is long term? How short is short term ? I liken this shutting the economy down as shutting off a cars engine as you approach a gas station turnoff when you're low on gas. (Think old manual transmission car, I did this on an old VW Beetle on several occasions). Ideally, you coast into station, but if you stop short, you'll either have to push car, or start it up again, waste gas starting, getting car up to speed, and running out of gas still short of goal.
I don't pretend to know the "tipping point", my feeling is many people aren't too tolerant of anything much longer than a month lock down. The rate of case increases between on and Easter will be very telling. Today is merely a snapshot of 10 to 14 days ago. It's been 13 days since FL governor closed bars and night clubs statewide. We should (hopefully) see how well the social distancing is flattening the curve over the next several days. I've heard mid April peak bandied about, we shall see.
Ideally, from a pure doctors standpoint would be to quarantine everyone until rate of new infections drop to zero, but the time to achieve that would be untenable for many people/businesses.
I would rather have seen President Trump extend original social distancing order for 15 more days at the time he made the "open for business by Easter" statement. He was right to express the sentiment that he did then, but should have said, "extend another 15 days, then take another look around Easter as to when to open things up again. " "My goal going forward is to contain the pandemic without wrecking the US economy too much."

Should we still fear Coronavirus ?Good catch, rick, my link was older than yours. While an earlier post suggested some light at the tunnel (re; Gov. reluctance to issue SIP mandate), for some FL cities/counties, the light at the end of the tunnel is a train coming the other way in the form of some mayors/commissioners wanting to pursue SIP order.

Should we still fear Coronavirus ?Gov DeSantis issued an executive order earlier today mandating that airline passengers arriving from NYC and surrounding area (presumably EWR- ed) be screened upon arrival and be advised to self quarantine for 2 wks.
Seems similar to what Taiwan and South Korea did- 2 countries with successful containment record without mandating onerous restrictions on it's own citizens.

Articles can be published againThanks, founder. I've noticed a few strange nuances. The article that got published today didn't have a list of publishers, or how they voted. Do articles still need 7 looks with 4 up votes to be published.
Also , coming back to list, still see unpublished articles that I already voted on. When I click to vote (thinking it might have been duplicate submission, I get a pop up "article no longer unpublished". (Didn't see it in articles, unless it's someone I have on ignore.

How Serious is the Coronavirus? This whole c-virus thing has yet to play out, but on the tuscl front, I've noticed a drop off in reviews. As of 915p EDT, with less than 6 hours to go in day (I think Tuscl calendar flips at midnight Pacific Time), there's only 7 new reviews up. SEVEN!!
Total daily tally for last 7 days looking back, starting 11 March: 13, 17, 31, 25, 20, 18, 20. That's a noticeable drop off. I suspect that has more to do with some companies clamping down on business travel and conferences and no fan sporting events than members fear of catching virus in strip club visit. If you don't think that the ripple effect fallout isn't drastic, check out the Dow drop earlier today.
In the meantime, stay healthy, enjoy your local club, and the cheap gas prices.

Could recession pricing be coming?Rick, I guess that you know that 2 or more consecutive quarters of negative growth constitutes a recession, and we haven't met formal definition (yet!?). However, between the wild stock market swings (mostly downward), the fed's interest rate cut, and longtime low bond yields has the earmarks of a recession. Eagerly awaiting your MBA thesis on the time lag between negative macroeconomic forces, and willingness of dancers/other contractors to lower their prices, or do more for a given amount of $$.

Corona virusI'm with rick and mark wrt media hysteria over this. When all this shakes out, the ripple effects on the economy may be worse than the virus itself.
Witness the wild stock market fluctuations, the Fed's recent rate cut (overreaction, IMO). Ten year bond yields below 1%? Shoot, I have 6 month CD's and money market accounts earning more than that. (Though that likely will not last much longer.) Flight cancellations have a ripple effect, IATA forecasts world airline revenue decreases potentially as much as $112B, depending on how this thing plays out. Lufthansa announced the grounding of 150 of it's aircraft. No US airline has taken that drastic a step, but being more intertwined to the global economy than any other time can't be ignored. A ripple a continent away can eventually make a splash here.
Oh, and good luck to PSD in Seattle.

Yes, it’s about the girlsKudos, Rw, for a well written descriptive review. Idk about the 4 -5 minute song length. On some weekend nights, DJ (I think it might have been "DJ Twisted") clips the bejesus out of songs. I timed a recent weekend visit at ~ 2:30 on songs. Otherwise, a good dancer crew.
mikeym, what's with this "soul pf" shit ? Are you saying that 2001 live VIP member "soul kid 88" is actually JK ? Your obsessive trashing of club reviews is getting to be old. (Aka boring, predictable). Give it a rest already.

STILL my favorite strip club everCongratulations on getting your 2nd submission approved. I'm also calling BS on your dancer roster addendum. I was also at club on 12/28/19 (the date that you claim) during pretty much the same time you claim. Of the 7 dancers listed, only 2 of them were there. ( Angela, Kendra). I think you may have mixed up Lilac (who was there and great on the pole) with Lelani (who wasn't there). Maybe you mixed up Sammi (who was there and beautiful) with Sunni (who wasn't there.) Or maybe you weren't there that night, and just pulled some names off the website. Hey, nice try.
