I tried to watch it 3 times and was never able to get more than about 30 minutes in before turning it off as rubbish."
Wow I thought I was the only one but I really didn't like clockwork orange either. It was boring on top of trying too hard to seem edgy but not making it funny or entertaining at all.

I like posting here but being addicted to this site is no joke. Alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, and drugs are certainly more destructive so I'm not trying to say they are as bad or anything like that but TUSCL can be a surprisingly difficult and time consuming addiction to break because its always there and it lures you in stealthily. The October-January period especially I was extremely addicted to this site. I found myself being late to a lot of things because I couldn't get off when a heated discussion was going on. Even when there wasn't I always thought something was going to happen and I was gonna miss it. Personally though, based on my observations of your posting habits, you don't seem anywhere near the level of addiction to this site that I've been at so you're probably fine.

Although I'll admit this was pretty funny. I have ways to keep everything very clean. I actually have a bit of a cleanliness obsession. I have never gotten anything on her. That along with frequent handwashing and taking two showers a day myself.

Well the fact that I consider the bible to be of "dubious accuracy" is a major reason why I'm more of a deist than really identifying as a Christian. The bible was written by men, it describes things that are scientifically impossible. Tall tales? Perhaps. Complete hogwash? Maybe.
I do think there's a God, but I don't believe all the stories in the bible are real. I also think that some people take the Old Testament too seriously. The Christian girl I met said herself she considers the Old Testament to be a historical document essentially and doesn't consider anything else important, that the only part of the bible she really pays attention to is the New Testament about Jesus.
The reason why I respect Christianity a lot though is because Jesus himself was obviously a very good man. I mean he was basically a Roman hippie. The stuff he was preaching was especially admirable given that he lived in an era with absolutely horrendous levels of violence and cruelty. A lot of the examples that people cite when they say they don't like Christianity was actually stuff Jesus himself was opposed to. He told people in his time that they shouldn't be judgmental of other people, he stopped the stoning of Mary Magdalene, he taught his disciples that being kind to other people was more important than being superficially "faithful." A lot of the things that people get angry at Christianity for are stuff that the church did later. A major part of that being that people in the dark ages relied on the church to get them through the times they were living in and unfortunately gave it too much power and humans often become corrupt when given power. But ultimately you can't expect every Christian person to be a good person, there's 2.3 billion Christians so there's bound to be quite a few bad ones.

I don't think saying its more "intimate" indicates that it's harder to get or you consider to be the last step. It's more that I feel like your closer, physically to a girl while you're making out with her. And like RandomMember said in a way it engages you more mentally. You can have sex on autopilot but you generally don't makeout on autopilot.

No I disagree with a lot of TUSCL about Christianity. You guys are focusing too much on the idea that religion is prudish and hates sex but all of the most Christian countries in the world are the ones having the most sex of anybody. Christianity, when the church isn't twisting it to suit their own purposes, is a very moral and loving religion.

As far as the need for sexual intimacy goes, I'm good, I found a solution. I haven't found a solution to my romantic issues, or a long term solution so to speak but I'm good in the short term. However, its important to spread the knowledge that alternatives do exist and that you don't have to be celibate just because you can't attract a girl the normal way. That way other guys who are suffering know that there's a way out.

I don't know because I can definitely enjoy making out with somebody that I'm only physically attracted to. One of the best makeout sessions I ever had was with a girl I didn't really know at all. I mean, in general, I want to have some feelings of affection for anybody that I enjoy sexual intimacy with but the bar for enjoying making out with a girl isn't any higher than having sex with one. On a basis of risk assessment though, I worry about what a girl could do after having sex with me that I don't worry about when its just making out.

It is a legitimate and serious problem. People not being able to have sex is almost as bad as people being perpetually malnourished and hungry. The solution, however, is that we need to help make people aware of the alternatives that exist if they can't find a partner the conventional way.

I've wondered in the past why I perceive making out as more pleasurable, and I have two theories.
One is simple, my sense of touch is just very strong in my mouth. When I get blowjobs, or handjobs, I don't know, its like I don't really sense that much going on down there. Yeah there's an orgasm and it is a good bit stronger than the orgasm I get from masturbating, but other than that, there's not a whole lot else that separates the pleasure of intercourse from the pleasure of say, cuddling with a girl to me. When a girl puts her tongue inside my mouth though, it feels almost shockingly good. My entire body gets flooded with euphoria that can be surprisingly intense for hours afterward. Its a different kind of pleasure from an orgasm though, it has this blissful feel to it. Sex without kissing does not have the same effect. It feels similar to masturbating, better, but similar. I actually think for some reason I have more nerve endings in my mouth than in my dick or they are stronger for some reason. One thing I have supporting this theory is that I hate the texture of almost every kind of food out there. I can only handle certain kinds. I used to think it was about "taste" but I can drink alcohol that tastes really bad and mostly handle it. Bad textures in food, however, feel like torture and can bring me to the edge of vomiting if I attempt to swallow it.
The other is more complex. Making out is a bit more of an entrance into your personal space than sex can be. Like you are right in the girl's face and connecting with her face. So there might be more passing of chemicals occurring, particularly oxytocin which if you're very sensitive to can be perceived as very pleasurable. Some forms of sex, like doggystyle, are even deliberately setup to involve a bit of distance between you so that the only parts that really connect are your genitals whereas making out connects nearly every inch of your body to the other person including your genitals which are being rubbed in the process.

Its probably just very difficult for me at the moment to visually perceive them as youthful due to my age. I may come to agree with you as I grow older. But I have seen studies that say men, no matter what their age is, tend to be most attracted to girls who are young so its debatable.

I think going to a con is a good idea.
The Greek conflict has more to do with the fact that their presence just dominates the campus life. Bad exposure might be another thing because I felt mistreated by my freshman roommate, who was a frat guy. Its also worth considering that at my particular school, most frat guys act extremely stereotypically. This may not be true of all schools, but at mine in particular, they do. If I had gone to an urban school with low Greek presence I probably would hardly ever mention them.
