He may not have been perfectly healthy based on comments he had made on his podcast recently.
Per https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/09/football/grant-wahl-death-world-cup-qatar-intl-hnk/index.html :
In an episode of the podcast Futbol with Grant Wahl, published days before his death on December 6, he had complained of feeling unwell.
“It had gotten pretty bad in terms of like the tightness in my chest, tightness, pressure. Feeling pretty hairy, bad,” Wahl told co-host Chris Wittyngham in the episode. He added that he sought help at the medical clinic at the World Cup media center, believing he had bronchitis.
He was given cough syrup and ibuprofen, and felt better shortly afterward, he said.
Wahl also said he experienced an “involuntary capitulation by my body and mind” after the US-Netherlands game on December 3.
“This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve done eight of these on the men’s side,” he said at the time. “And so like, I’ve gotten sick to some extent at every tournament, and it’s just about trying to find a way to like get your work done.”
He further described the incident in a recent newsletter published on December 5, writing that his body had “broke down” after he had little sleep, high stress and a heavy workload. He’d had a cold for 10 days, which “turned into something more severe,” he wrote, adding that he felt better after receiving antibiotics and catching up on sleep.

Aside from the game against Utah Williams out at USC has been the best. Georgia just has a stacked team and while Bennett is a high quality qb I don't see him as elite, I think a lot of qbs could go 24-1 on that team. Stroud has been solid at OSU but he lacks the mobility and rushing ability that is almost necessary these days to be an elite qb. I haven't watched enough of TCU to really know much about Duggan but the couple of games I have seen him play he was impressive and the 3,300 yards with 30 td to 4 int Stat line is great.
In the end Williams has the best stats wth 4,000 yards passing, 47 combined touchdowns (37 pass 10 rush) and only 4 int and to me he has looked the best when it comes to the eye test of being the best. I'd be surprised if he doesn't win it.

You're damn right I would do everything possible to fight it if I am arrested for something I didn't do. No way I am going to admit to a crime that I didn't commit.
She didn't negotiate a lesser sentence, she just plead guilty and asked for leniency since she didn't mean to commit the crime and said is was just an accident because she was in a hurry when she packed.

@25 I am not saying a trial would have been fair in Russia, but there was no trial. This case never had a full trial because on the first day of testimony in the trial she admitted to the crime and plead guilty in court.
Do I think she got a harsher sentence because she is a well known American? Absolutely.
Should the US have negotiated to get her released? Yes, I would hope they would do that for any American sentenced to an excessive jail term for a relatively minor crime.
Should the US have been willing to release a major weapons trafficker that supplied weapons to groups dedicated to killing Americans to secure her release? No, there are any number of other bargaining chips they could have used instead that wouldn't have endangered American lives.
Do you think the US would have released this man to get some random person from this site released if they were sentenced to 9 years in jail for getting caught taking drugs into Russia? Would the US release El Chapo if a random PL gets arrested in Tijuana and sentenced to a decade in a Mexican jail for carrying drugs across the border? If not, what makes her more valuable than any other American that would get arrested the same way?

"whodey can’t reasonable people disagree"
Reasonable people can disagree. I just don't think it is reasonable to say that it is just as likely that she was framed as it is she actually committed the crime when she has repeatedly admitted she did what she was accused of.
I can politely disagree with people thinking that getting her back was worth giving up an arms dealer. I can also politely disagree with people that say the US shouldn't have offered anything in exchange for her. I fall somewhere in the middle where I think the US was right to negotiate for her release but I think they went to far releasing a convicted arms dealer in exchange for her. Easing some sanctions, releasing assets that were seized from Russian oligarchs, releasing a Russian prisoner that was arrested for drug dealing, fraud, hacking or some other nonviolent crime would have been appropriate in exchange for her release. The only way they should've released an arms dealer would have been in exchange for multiple Americans or someone who was falsely detained but not for a celebrity who was convicted of a drug crime that they admitted to.
The US government should have treated this case just like the cases of any other American that is arrested overseas regardless of her status as a well known athlete. For most Americans that are arrested the government wouldn't have traded an arms dealer to secure their release.

Blah have you ever gone after a guy that played hard to get? Rick goes after the girls he does for a similar reason. He is in it as much for the pursuit as he is for the sex. He chooses to go after girls who don't normally have sex for money partly because they likely haven't had as many random partners as a girl that openly solicits men for sex and partly for the satisfaction of knowing he talked a girl into something that other men couldn't talk her into.
While his motives may not be altruistic it isn't like he is blackmailing the girls into it. He didn't put them into the situation they are in, he just offers them a way out. Is it a bit sad and creepy? Sure, but so is every part of the sex work industry to an extent.
I'm sure there may be a few girls that grow up and want to be a sex worker because it seems like fun. The majority just make a choice and decide sex work is the best choice to get what they want. A few of them are going to regret that choice either right after the first time or at some point down the road. Personally I prefer girls who have done it a few times before since they are more likely to have come to terms with their decision to be a full service sex worker and less likely to regret it right after. UT I can't blame Rick for preferring newbies if that is what he likes.

Misterorange like I said before she has admitted to doing it and has never denied the fact that she had the vape. How does that make the possibility of her being set up as likely as her having broke the law? Are you saying she lied and claimed she had drugs on her when she didn't? Why would she do that unless she was cooperating with Russia to have herself arrested to blackmail the USA?
"She admitted in court that she did bring the vape pen with an illegal drug into Russia. She and her defense attorneys both openly stated that she brought it but it wasn't because she intended to break the law, she claims she just carelessly broke the law because she was in a hurry."

Yes Russia has worked to undermine America at many levels. That isn't new and any American traveling there should be well aware of it. You should be on your best behavior and know not to commit a crime because if you get caught they are going to throw the book at you to make an example of you and show that they are standing up to America. This is especially true if you are even a little famous or work for a well known company.
The fact is a midly famous American athlete was caught committing a crime and given the maximum punishment allowed by Russian law after she was convicted. That shouldn't surprise anyone. I can understand the US government wanting to negotiate for her release and being willing to give up something like unfreezing the accounts of a Russian oligarch that was seized after the Ukraine invasion, but releasing a criminal that sells weapons of war to our enemies and terrorists around the world is too much.

Charging Cuban girls higher fees is not only racist it is illegal. I don't blame the girls, regardless of race, for getting upset over it. Just imagine what would happen if a predominantly white club decided to charge black dancers higher fees to limit the number of black dancers in the club. Shit would hit the fan real quick and rightfully so.
I can understand the rule requiring them to speak at least basic English so that they can communicate with customers. After all while it may be easy to sell a couple of dances based off of a girls look, it is harder to sell the bigger fantasy to guys if you can't have a conversation. However, depending on the area there may be enough customers that speak Spanish to make it worthwhile to keep girls around who don't speak English to cater to those customers. I club mostly in Kentucky and Ohio and occasionally in Indiana or West Virginia. Around here Latinas of any nationality are still a small minority of the dancers and the vast majority of customers don't speak Spanish so that rule would work out well here. The only club that I frequent that has seen an increase in non-English speaking dancers and customers is Pussycat Lounge in Louisville and even there the girls know at least the basics in English.

Do I think the sentence of hard labor was excessive for carrying a vape pen full of cannabis that was clearly just for personal use? Absolutely, but a lot of crimes carry excessive punishments in foreign countries but that doesn't mean that travelers don't have to obey them or face the punishment. Guess what, in Thailand you can be given the death penalty for drug possession. In parts of the middle east you can spend a long time in jail for kissing your girlfriend in public. In Singapore you can be publicly beaten with a bamboo cane for spray painting graffiti. Some foreigners from countries that don't have the death penalty would argue that it is excessive punishment to sentence a murderer to the death penalty in America.

The real question is if any one of us were arrested and sentenced to the same punishment would the American government have been willing to make the same trade? If not, then they shouldn't have done it for her. If they would, that sets a bad precedent going forward that the US will release dangerous criminals in exchange for American citizens doing stupid things abroad.

Does she not understand that you can see her as both a whore and a whole person? Since she is only willing to have sex with you in exchange for money that does make her a whore although there are less degrading terms (escort, sex worker, call girl, etc) for it that might be better to use. That doesn't mean that is all she is, it is only one part of her overall persona. She can also be a lovely, hard working funny, smart and caring person that does this to support herself or her family.
This is no different than the fact that those of us that pay for sex are by definition whoremongers or whatever term you want to use. That isn't all we are but it is part of who we are.
I have no problem telling the women I see otc or itc for sex that I see them as funny, smart, confident, friendly or whatever else about their personality led me to choose them over the other available sexy dancers for the extra services that evening. In fact I usually do this without them asking as part of my flirting/negotiating with them before finalizing the deal after all complementing her on the things you find appealing about her other than just her looks can go a long way.
Maybe that is why I have never had a dancer ask me if I see her as just a whore since I have already told her what else I like about her.

She didn't endanger national security by going to Russia or even by being arrested in Russia. There is nothing about a basketball player that endangers national security, it isn't like she was someone that knew information vital to national security that was arrested and interrogated or possibly tortured for that information.
The only way her arrest endangered national security is that politicians were willing to release an arms dealer that in the course of his business sells weapons to those who endanger our national security in exchange for her. That deal that politicians made endangered national security plain and simple.
You want a rule to prevent things like this from endangering national security in the future? How about a regulation that says US officials aren't allowed to negotiate a prisoner exchange for anyone that is legitimately convicted of a crime in a foreign country unless that person has information critical to our national security. If someone commits a crime in a foreign country they should face the consequences without the US compromising national security to help them out.
Sure what she did wasn't a crime that would have had her imprisoned in the US, but she wasn't in the US so she had to follow existing Russian laws. Saying that the US should negotiate for her release from Russian prison is like saying that if someone from a state where recreational marijuana is legal takes their weed to a state where it is still illegal and gets arrested as a result that their home state should be willing to release a dangerous criminal from the state where she was arrested in exchange for her being freed. If that happened the American public would be outraged just like they should be in this case.

Good daytime clubs are getting harder to find in most of the country. I'm not familiar with the clubs in NYC but I do know that most entertainment options in the city start and end later than most of the country. Everything from music venues to Broadway shows are practically dead during the day so I imagine strip clubs would be the same way. About the only entertainment I have found in NYC during the day has been street performers (real entertainers i.e. musicians not street hookers) and a lot of them are actually pretty good.
From what I've read on here I'm not sure most of the NYC strip clubs are even worth it at night let alone during the day.

The only situations that I consider to be ROBs are if she agrees to do a particular thing and then backs out after being paid or she tries to charge for more time/songs than she actually provides.
The more common of these is a dancer who over counts songs and tries to charge you for 8 dances when you actually only got 6 for example. Sometimes it can be a simple mistake and other times it is a straight up ROB but it can be hard to tell if it only happens once with the girl and she is only off by1 or maybe two songs.
I have also come across girls that try to short you on time during a timed VIP. The worst case of this was a few years ago at a club in Lexington, I bought a 30 minute VIP and after less than 20 minutes she said we were done. I told her that it hadn't been even close to 30 minutes and she told me that the 30 minutes was just the "maximum time it could last" and that she had given me "30 minutes worth of fun" because her dances were better than anyone else's at the club. Luckily the manager didn't agree and let me put the money I had prepaid to the club to take another dancer back to the vip and he gave the other girl the full dancer's cut instead of giving the ROB anything.
I don't know that that I have ever dealt with a dancer who agreed to do something specific and then didn't follow through with it. The closest would be a girl that agreed to a bj and fs and then once we got back to the vip it turned out she hated sucking dick so her version of a bj was about a minute of licking the sides of my shift before going into fs. It wasn't what I expected but it wasn't enough for me to consider it a ROB situation since we didn't really discuss details about the bj portion and she did do some oral before moving on to fs.

Only time I have been tossed out of a club or hassled by security was about 10-12 years ago at the Rustic Frog in rural Indiana not far across the river from Louisville KY. It was totally deserved but at the same time it was in no way my fault. It was my first time at the club and I went for some dances with a dancer I had known from one of the dive clubs in Louisville and that I had gotten extras from several times in the other club. It was her first night at the Frog and in fact I was the first person who had bought any dances from her since I had gotten there less than an hour after her shift started. We went into a little booth down the hallway in the back and the booths were each walled off on three sides but open towards the little hallway so anyone that was going past could see you. Since we were in the very last booth nobody was going to be walking by so it seemed pretty private.
After a couple of songs she offered a bj for the same rate she had always charged at the other club so I took her up on it. About 5-10 minutes later another dancer looked into the booth trying to find an empty spot for her and her customer and clearly saw what was happening but didn't say anything or even visibly react at all and just turned around and walked away. Neither my dancer or I thought twice about it and kept going. Less than a minute later two big bouncers came bursting in yelling and kicked both of us out of the club. Apparently this type of thing wasn't allowed at this club (at least not outside of the high dollar vip rooms I later found out) and I was told never to come back and the dancer was instantly fired.
I ended up taking her back to my hotel for a little otc fun and then drove her to a different club down on 7th street where she got hired and started that night. In the end it all worked out fine for both of us and it even saved us from having to give the club their fee for the 8 or 9 songs we had been back there already since they didn't ask to be paid for the songs as they were kicking us out.

ATACdawg I said "Michigan" as one of the teams that I considered a lock for the playoff winbor lose tosay in an earlier comment here. That being said as an OSU alum yes I am still 8 layers of bitter over last week. No, I can't say their name in regards to them thoroughly beating our asses last week.
All I can say is I hope we beat Georgia and you beat TCU so we can get our revenge in the National championship game.

Warrior who did Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Tennessee play out of conference? None of the major programs really play more than one legitimate out of conference opponent so the non-conference schedule doesn't mean much unless you lose one of them.
Georgia - Oregon, Samford and Kent St. At least Oregon is a valid opponent but none of the rest but they also only played 1 ranked team in their conference schedule.
LSU - Florida St, Southern, New Mexico and UAB aren't exactly strong opponents and only FSU ever is out of them.
Alabama - Utah St, Texas, LA Monroe and Austin Peay aren't exactly strong opponents and only Texas ever is out of them.
Tennessee- Pitt, Ball St, Akron and Tenn-Martin. Pitt was at least ranked at the time but doesn't look any better than OSU beating Notre Dame in the end.
In the end it comes down to did you win the games you played or not. OSU won every game by double digit points except for losing to the team that is #2 in the country right now. Bama had an impressive season but still lost to two top 10 ranked teams and needed a last minute fg to beat unranked Texas. Tennessee lost to Georgia which is understandable but also got blown out by unranked at the time South Carolina. LSU was blown out by Tennessee and lost to two unranked teams in Florida St and Texas A&M.
If any two loss team would have an argument over Ohio State it would be Clemson if they win their conference today. Then they would be 11-2 with a conference title compared to OSU's 11-1 and no title.

Clemson might also get some consideration if they win big and USC loses badly but I doubt it since the committee has only considered them as the 4th best of the two loss teams so far.

No way the committee puts K-State, Utah or LSU in with 3 losses let alone Purdue with 4 losses. At this point I'd consider Georgia, Michigan and TCU locks for the playoffs even if they lose unless something happens like getting blown out 50-0 and losing several key players to injury. At worst those teams will finish 12-1 which is a better record than any other ranked teams.
The only decision the committee will have is if USC loses to Utah tonight there will be some debate between a 2 loss USC vs a 1 loss Ohio State. If the Buckeyes had played a better game against Michigan last week and lost a close battle I would've said they would have gotten the spot over a 2 loss USC but with the way that game went I'd say it is a 50/50 coin flip between USC/OSU if USC looses unless they are completely dominated.
I really don't see the committee considering any 2 loss team that didn't make their conference championship game.

With what he has posted publicly he is going to have to be very polite if he wants a response from most dancers, especially after this thread.
