As a European, I am particularly conscious of the fact that in some countries there are few, if any, American-style strip clubs. If tucsl is to be useful outside North America, a tight definition of an American-style strip clubs would mean the removal of lots of entries. Almost nowhere in Prague fits the 'strip club' definition. And, like others, I would definitely want FKK clubs in Germany to stay; I have seen naked girls in the open in FKK clubs but I have never yet seen a girl actually strip in an FKK club except in a private room.

I have never visited an American strip club so I cannot be sure what happens in an American style club. But reviews by those of us Europeans who do review on here will tell you about varying possibilities. For example, in England reviews (including by me) of Maidenhead and Birmingham clubs indicate that there are extras clubs here.

I am British with virtually no experience of North American clubs. In England, most strip clubs allow no touching and both the girls and the management enforce the rules pretty fiercely because the local authorities threaten to shut them down. It is quite hard to find girls who will meet OTC (though I have done it a few times). There are a few clubs where mileage is higher - Beavers in Watford and the Honey Pot in Maidenhead come to mind. But for mutual touching in most places you need to look for an escort - they are plentiful with loads of agency sites not to mention adultwork.com. What are called strip clubs in many places in Europe (but not England) often charge very high prices for what the girls drink; the Reeperbahn in Hamburg is mainly a rip off with as many girls touting for business on Davidstraße as in the famous brothels or in Herbertstraße. More generally, in Germany the scene is completely different from that in England. P4P sex is completely legal in Germany and FKK clubs like Artemis in Berlin and Babylon and Harmony in Hamburg offer good value for money full sex if that is your thing. In my experience in Germany and Poland so called strip clubs vary from slightly disguised brothels to places designed simply to enable pretty girls to part a guy and his money. Prague is different again with K5 Relax offering one version of an expensive brothel and Darling another; I definitely prefer K5 but if you like watching a show go to Darling where it goes on all night and is said to be very raunchy in the small hours especially at the weekend. The two Showparks are slightly cheaper but with fewer, less good looking, girls. Darling and the Showparks also have strippers - you need to ask the girls to find out which are which. My favourite place in Prague is the small Faraon bar (faraonbar.cz) in the centre where a reasonably priced private dance can include you and the girl masturbating to completion. I understand that there is now an FKK club in Prague but I have not been there.

I am puzzled by rentz2 saying that the Axe is 'off a side street'. Certainly, it is not on the busy Shoreditch High Street (with lots of clubs and pubs). But Hackney Road is a significant street with several bus routes (26, 48 and 55 not to mention N26 and N55)) passing the door.

I have given up on lapdance clubs in Germany for precisely the reason Electronman gives.

I have never been to clubs in the USA so I cannot compare. In some clubs in England only air dances are available and most clubs in England offer at best light contact. But, whilst as always YMMV, at Angels grinding to completion can be available. Some of my other reviews also cover English clubs where serious mileage is available.

This is NOT a description of Honeypot. It must be somewhere else, perhaps actually in London - Maidenhead is 25 miles from Central London.

I am British and most of my clubbing is in this country. It is some time since I have been to Medusa - which oddly is in the 'gay village' area of Birmingham. In my experience, clubs in Birmingham are better than most of the rest of England. Do not expect this positive a review from much of England. But there is nothing here to match the FKK scene in Germany (which I also visit most years).

Since I have only visited SCs in Europe (mostly in England where I live) I cannot tell how different the scene is on this side of the Atlantic. I can only say that OTC meetings with strippers are pretty rare in my experience. Over several years of visiting SCs I have tested out OTC meetings with many strippers but I have only actually met three strippers OTC (and am due to meet a fourth next month). One such meeting happened unexpectedly when a club closed early because it was very quiet; the others have been planned on evenings when the clubs were closed or when the girl was not working. It may be harder for me since I can rarely visit the same club often enough to build up much of an ATF type of relationship. As reviews (including mine) show, few clubs in England offer much in the way of extras and quite a few only offer air dances. My experience is that girls who seem to be enjoying themselves when giving dances and who are keen on turning me on are more likely to be willing to contemplate OTC; but even those who will talk about it seriously rarely carry through. I have never managed to arrange an OTC meeting with strippers in the raunchiest clubs I know though in one case it nearly happened. In my experience, SD/SB arrangements are much easier to arrange than OTC meetings with strippers, often with girls who could easily be strippers (and in one case I have met an SB who used to be a stripper).

I agree with your article. I am British and all my OTC experience has been in England. Once in London a club closed early because business was poor and the girl I was with said 'It doesn't have to' when I said 'It's a pity the night has to end here'. But that has only happened to me once; and the actual OTC experience, whilst OK was not particularly good. Otherwise my experience of talking about OTC, and of actually doing it, have been very much along the lines you describe. I am currently occasionally seeing one girl OTC when I am in her area.

Public transport is often a good option in Europe. Some of my specific reviews give details. Some clubs are too far but many have good public transport options. In London there are excellent night buses and two underground lines now run 24/7. One of my favourite clubs, Honeypot in Maidenhead, is close to a station with trains between London Paddington and Reading calling much of the night.

I agree with most of this based on experience in Artemis, Berlin (which is huge) and clubs in/near Hamburg (Babylon and Harmony) all of which I have reviewed on here. I have also visited a nice small club in Dresden (Saunawelt Römer) which for some reason I did not review and one in Köln (Cologne) - the only one which really disappointed me - and I can no longer find it listed. The things which I found different are (a) that in all the FKK clubs I have visited most of the girls are wearing something similar to what you find in British strip clubs rather than wandering around stark naked (though some do) and (b) that public sex is not quite as common as londonguy suggests (though I have seen it and done it!).
