Lemme add one last thing:
Again, I'm not telling anybody to give to a Go Fund Me. That's on you if you want to or not.
But, in a post above, I mentioned that I was invited recently to attend a repass / repast, whatever you call it, the gathering of folks after a funeral for a different girl that died who was NOT a dancer. I was there to help out. I met that girl's daughter. And I had this daydream how 30-40 years from now I'd be lying in a hospital bed sick and this same young girl will be an adult taking care of me not knowing who I am. And it'll snap to me and I'll be like, "hey, I was at the repass for your momma, helping out; even though I'm not from your family. Do you remember? You were a young girl and we had a little talk.." And her face lights up. That's my daydream that she would run into a non-family member who helped out after her mom's funeral.
This could happen to you. This dancer who was murdered has 2 daughters who will grow up one day. At that time we'll be old men. Imagine, we're in hospitals or somewhere one day in the future and we're reconnected to these girls and you're able to say honestly, "I heard about your mom, some weirdo posted it online on a website. And I gave because I used to go to see dancers back in the day." And her face lights up. Of course you could lie and try your luck. But it'd be better knowing you truly did it for real and were reconnected decades later.
Again, I'm not telling anyone to give to a Go Fund Me. It's on you. All I said was to consider it.

>At the risk of sounding callous, what good is the money going to do her? She's already dead
The dancer has two very young daughters.
Those daughters are going to grow up one day. I'm sure they'd be grateful to see and know that people they didn't know cared. Imagine this happening to you and looking back and seeing 10 people gave to your deceased mom's Go Fund Me as opposed to 200 people giving to your deceased mom's Go Fund Me. It would give you hope and peace even long after the money was spent.
DISCLAIMER:
Maybe I should also add: recently I was invited to a repass of a different young woman who I never met / don't know (about the same age of the dancer who was killed) died suddenly, too. Never did find out how this different young woman died, nobody said, but I was there to help out though I don't know this deceased girl. So, I was invited to be at the gathering after the funeral, (the repass). And I met this different young woman's elementary school aged daughter who was so poised for her age. And I feel like these children who've been robbed of their mother won't forget who stepped up and gave / helped out.
So, the random deaths of two young women who I don't know either personally, but I end up being touched by their lives, who both didn't reach 27 years of age, probably has me feeling some kind of way. Okay?

I'll be honest: nobody told me about the Go Fund Me. I found her Go Fund Me on my own while looking for more information about her online. So, I wasn't told by anybody about the GoFundMe before I pushed it myself to you guys.
I was told by a dancer I know that the fellow 26-year old dancer was murdered and was reminded by her that I had gotten a lapdance with the dancer who died hours before she was killed. This girl who was killed would be the tiny handful of people I can think of off the top of my head who I 'know' as murder victims. I can't say that I personally know of more than 2-3 folks in my life who has been murdered. And to know that I physically was touching and talking with someone who would be brutally murdered hours later, can weigh heavy on a mind after finding out.
Anyway, a dancer showed me the murdered dancer's Facebook page. Maybe it's private, because I couldn't bring up her Facebook page by myself on my phone or laptop. So, the Go Fund Me was the first thing I found on Facebook that I had access to. So I shared it, here. They had some candlelight vigils for her...
Murder. Youth. Domestic Violence. Yes, I guess there are some sick people out here but why would anyone try to scam anybody here with something so serious? Do GoFundMe scams regularly happen on here?
No, you don't 'owe' this deceased girl anything--as you see it. I'm just posting this Go Fund Me because if/when it happens to you, you'll go the same route as I did. As I may have stated above, this--death of a dancer--has come up before on here, indirectly. C'mon, there are a lot of fucked up dancers out here, with a lot of shitty problems and they could die by any means. It's sad. And it's especially heartbreaking when they die by tragedy. When it came up on here before, as dancers do die, and the guy that brought it up, I remember he didn't find a whole ton of sympathetic voices on here. (No one to blame, this may not be the best platform for sympathy). I think she had died by a drug overdose or something. And I was like everybody else and was like, 'hey, I didn't know her personally. That's sad but not my problem...' etc. Then the train comes around your way and you kinda get it that I should have sympathy for anybody. Tragedy is still tragedy. And we have these low-key connections and offbeat friendships with dancers.
Plus, we all throw away so much money at these girls while they're alive. To not toss a dollar when they die is kinda weird. No, I'm not telling nor ordering anyone to participate to a Go Fund Me. Skepticism is healthy. Especially online. But murder and tragedy isn't fun to play with and I wouldn't try to scam folks here into giving.

By the way, I'm not twisting anyone's arm to participate in a Go Fund Me. If you notice, in my original post about it, I used the word "consider". If you don't want to support, don't. Nobody says you must.
I just thought / hoped this site, of all places, would maybe have a little sympathy for dancers since we all deal with them more than others. Yes, we do know how trifling dancers as a whole and their lives can be. But, (to me) I thought / hoped a few would open their hearts for something like this.
Again, I'm NOT asking anybody to support. You don't wanna support, don't. All I'm saying is: I hoped that IF folks supported it would be because they didn't need a reason to, they chose to support on their own merits, since all of us know that, hell, the cover charge to get into most strip clubs is $20. Surely, it's not asking a lot to give $20 for something like this when we regularly pay that for strip clubs anyways or for parking.
You know, something like this may have come up before indirectly on here. And I sounded just like anyone. "It's not my affair / not my business. I don't know her." Then it happens to you. And you find yourself posting. So that's why I posted it. That's fine if you don't want to support. I'm not asking you directly to support or react. I'm just posting this because when it comes around to you, (not a family member dying but a dancer that you 'know') and you find yourself in my spot, you'll get it. Again, I don't know this young lady personally--if I met her I only met her once. But she, to me, represents all of the dancers. I can lose $75 to any dancer any night of the week over weak lapdances. Might as well give to a Go Fund Me when one passes. It's only right (for me & my sake. Your sake may be different at this moment.)
My question for myself was how much should I give? Triple digits for some reason seemed a bit much, somehow. $20 or a price of a lapdance (from me) to give seemed a bit too low and condescending to just (for me in my case since I got a lapdance from her) to just give $20. So, $75 seemed about right. Maybe I'll reach out to the family or something later.
Again, it's not often a dancer you just had contact with is dead less than 24 hours later. I've been part of the world of strippers since the early 90s. So, for me, personally, I couldn't just shrug my shoulders and say, "oh well, that's life".
This has me re-thinking things. Like if this happens again to a dancer that this time, I didn't have any contact with whatsoever. I may now support that Go Fund Me, too (after I make sure it's legit; etc).
Before this happened, I wouldn't support anything like this. Now that a dancer has died who I had a very casual one-time lapdance, it makes you think, you know, I gotta be better. I'd lose $100 to a bad dancer anyway on a given week. It's not much of me to ask myself to give when a dancer dies suddenly.
Just my take. You have a different opinion, that's fine.

Valid points all around about the Go Fund Me.
It appears this is the only Go Fund Me for her, so it seems legit to me.
Someone asked who this goes to and it appears her mom and two children. Then again, I don't know anything for certain. I do not know the dancer personally; I've only met her once to my knowledge and had no one told me she passed, I wouldn't know.

I thought she was killed immediately after leaving the party where I met her. Sounds like she was killed in the morning...
"On July 18th, at about 10:10 am, patrol officers were called to the 9200 block of Stuart Lane for a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim inside of the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene."

it was another time, like you said.
like i remember another night, it was so cool. a local lady with a big-ass box of all types of funky neon panties and bras showed up at the strip club and set up shop in like a region of the stripper club in the middle of a working stripclub night. all types of dancers were around her. a bunch of dancers who weren't working showed up in street clothes. they were lifting up neon panties in the sky looking at them in the light, picking which ones they wanted, basically shopping right in the middle of the strip club in the middle of a working strip club night. i was just smiling to myself like: remember this, you won't see this again. and i was right.
so, yeah, this was before you could order online i guess. it was just cool to see these dancers so into what they were thinking of wearing. this was going on before i got to the club that night and was still going on after i left. i'm glad nobody kicked them out or complained too much about them taking up so much space, on a working strip club night in kinda the middle of the club. oh and this repeated itself a few more times before i didn't see it again.

again, maybe i'm cherry-picking memories here, but
i know this stripper from yesteryear, who since left the career. now and again, she'll post old-school pics of her stripper days on social media. lol. she's proud of it. and to be honest, the pics she post got me nodding like, yeah, i remember meeting you back then and those were good nights. and i'm not talking sexually or anything. just good nights when you felt "free". tho, i know today's strippers regularly post live video of themselves on social media, i wanna know which of them will post after their career is over. that's what i'm talking about. yesterday's strippers were so cool to me. to me they can look back and be a little proud or at peace. today's strippers are so different to me. i'll try to respect it, but damn.
am i just going to the wrong venues?

Wow..I reached #35, I can't think of #36 yet.
Out of those 35, I wonder how many were officially listed on tuscl...lol...probably casually mentioned but not listed...quite a couple of them never bothered to make a website for themselves--because of the time it was late 90s early 2000s, why bother with a website at that time. Flyers on your car and word of mouth did fine.
And wasn't there some sort of debate out there whether the garage-strip clubs in some cities should count as strip clubs? Like one spot, hosted by local bikers in a warehouse for their bikes on Thursday nights complete with a real good DJ. I'm counting public buildings as strip clubs in my list.
Seeing those 35 different names...wow. I don't even want to think about how much money was spent on those places
But the reason it feels like at least 50 for me because at some point in the early 2000s, I met dudes who host SC parties at private homes. I'm NOT counting homes in my list of 35, even though it's a house that I may continually go to for SC parties even after all these years--some of these house parties have lasted at the same house longer than actual brick-building SCs.

I was just complaining about this in one of my reviews.
Management needs to just let women wear what they feel like wearing--what's wrong with that?
I think the problem is more of this: it's forcing folks to wear what isn't 'natural' for their personality so to speak. I don't get how, if the girl has a personality or penchant for working at a strip club, why limit what she's supposed to wear while in there? Some people can pull off wearing something that other's can't. Not everyone looks great in spandex. Not everyone looks great in a thong. But forcing everyone to wear 1-piece bathing suits, doesn't fit all personalities.

Great topic. I've had many thoughts about this topic in the past, so lemme break it down, why I feel some dudes don't like strip clubs.
First of all, I always told myself, that if I ever became a stand-up comic, I would say this in my act about why certain dudes don't like SCs:
Show me a guy who doesn't like stripclubs, and I'll show you a guy that hasn't been to the right one yet.
IMO, there are 2 reasons he doesn't like SCs: #1 He went to the wrong stripclub. And, #2 he gets lappies from the wrong dancers.
1) The way I see it, some dudes get introduced to stripclubs the 'wrong way' so to speak. Maybe their first time at any SC is at a bachelor party--but often that particular dude didn't pick that particular strip club, since he's not the person being celebrated, the future groom is, so of course the spot may not be an SC that he'd like. He then figures all SCs are generally like that one SC he got dragged to and therefore he doesn't explore other SCs. Especially SCs not in his area that maybe completely different and something he'd like.
2) Same guy who gets dragged to his first stripclub has no experiences with SCs and of course is going to go straight for the wrong dancer and get a sub-par lappie. He's going to think all lappies are generally like that and he'll dislike SCs.
So, I firmly believe that every SC is different. Every fucking one. All 3,000+ of em in The U.S. has a different vibe, atmosphere, norms, etc. You may not think so, but they do. I knew of 2 strip clubs that were physically across the street from each other but each had completely different atmospheres inside. I had a group of out-of-towners with me, so I took them to that spot where the SCs are across the street from each other. I took them to the one I don't like, but I thought maybe they'd like it. They hated it. But didn't say anything to me. Then I took 'em across the street to the SC that I like and they absolutely loved it. We shut the place down. And I always wondered what would their opinion of me and the area I lived in be, if I didn't take them to that 2nd SC across the street.
Likewise, I took a good buddy of mine to his first black SC in the 'hood. He loved it. He'd been going to SCs for years, but never to a 'hood SC and it was like a whole new world to him. He generally went to the same 2-3 SCs for years without branching out.
I remember the late 90s was the first time I realized there were other SCs that were local and within driving distance. I never imagined that. You won't think of that unless someone tells you. So I feel for dudes who don't like SCs--I wonder how many SCs have they been to. I remember in the late 90s, someone on a message board, it could've been here, listed all the SCs in the area with their addresses. Because this website looked a whole lot different back in the late 90s. And at that time, I'd been regularly going to 3 local SCs that I was satisfied with. And I was loyal to the 3. And I was young, I was scared to drive to another SC at night with all the stereotypical thoughts in my head about other SCs thinking they'd have actual rats or folks with guns or whatever. But I printed out that list of all the SCs with their addresses, the list was called "The Rundown!" and I still have a copy all these years later. And I loved the new SCs I 'discovered' from that list. The girls were different, they were younger than the SCs I was going to. These SCs had different norms, I would've never known what a wall-dance was those lapdances standing up against the wall, had I not followed that list.
So, to me dudes that don't like SCs, I don't buy the BS reasons anyone else thinks. For me, it comes down to 2 things: Have they been to at least 12 different strip clubs? Have they had a lapdance from girls of different ages, races and sizes? Until then, if they don't like SCs, I tell 'em go to 12 different SCs and report back to me.

feel free to disagree, but here are mine
if she's incredibly pretty faced, but I haven't seen her before in this club or anywhere else, and/or i feel she's way too pretty-faced or overall pretty for this club and she doesn't seem to be friendly with any other dancers, i avoid her. most likely she's just a club-hopping pretty-face trolling this club with sub-par overpriced lappies for fresh victims.
If her current outfit makes me pause negatively upon my first glance/my first impression for WHATEVER reason. whether it's the color or style or fit, i avoid her.
if it's a 3-song set and most dancers are fully naked on-stage by the 3rd song, but typically she won't, complaining folks ain't tipping her enough...
if she appears to have ADD. she's everywhere in the club and can't seem to focus while she's giving a lappie to anyone...

i'm just wondering if anyone else been down this road, what's better when it comes to a company remodeling something in a house: having them do multiple jobs at once or having them focus on one job at once?

Here's a little trivia:
Generation Xers are called that, because:
if a generation is roughly 20 years, then we (including myself) Generation Xers were born 10 generations after 1776--a.k.a. born 200 yrs (10 generations) after 1776 which falls / includes /ends around 1976. And of course, X is the Roman numeral for 10.

Happened to me 2x, I can recall. First time, early 90s. Walking alone in the big city, overnight, because, earlier my self esteem took a big hit after nobody in my inner circle took notice I finally got my braces off. Like not one word from anybody who interacted with me face to face.
Hustler on the street caught me feeling vulnerable. Told me he's got bored hookers in the hotel right there, top floor doing a party. They need johns to keep the party lit. Give him I think it was $80 and he'll give me the wristbands to get in. For a hustler, he was kind. Asked me a few times if I had enough $$ to get home before he took my $$. Even waited with me at the ATM. It was such a cold nite--no one on the street. He took my cash, handed me the envelope and split. I open the envelope, it's full of confetti. At first I'm confused. Like he must've made a mistake. Then I bust out laughing. Realized all the holes in his story. Good reminder: don't get caught up on my braces and trivial shit, the world doesn't care.
Second time, a pair of strippers and i were at the SC on a sloooow night. one was like 'for $120 we could leave here so she can fuck me.' Her stripper buddy will drive. I'm down. I didnt have a car. We pile into 2nd strippers car. Stripper who'll fuck me riding shotgun. I'm in the backseat. We all seen each other in the club but never hung out. It was fun. Music blasting, we all young, strippers still in thongs in the car because this was supposed to be a quik stop at a nearby ATM and then off to a motel or we may do it in the car. BUT every ATM we hit had some sort of issue like the one inside the club always did. Or we couldn't find one. It was crazy. The dancers even came out of the car and joined me at the ATM because they couldnt believe we kept having to drive to ANOTHER ATM. Folks in their cars honking at us seeing two women in thongs and a nerd at the ATM in public.
Finally an ATM worked. And BIG FACE PALM HERE, I gave stripper in the passenger side all $120 right there in the car while we all 3 driving to the motel. I guess to prove I did have the money. To show it wasnt me, it was the ATMs. I mean this adventure took around 2 hrs hitting up every known ATM. Stripper in the passenger seat was so happy, keep in mind, the windows are down, music up, she starts waving the cash I just handed to her and suddenly a breeze outta nowhere took all the money in her hand. I'm in the backseat, I saw it, flying out the window. Chick almost fell outta the window trying to retrieve it. We can't really stop. Traffic behind us is stopping to get my money. It was surreal. Apparently the driver was focused on driving she didnt immediatelty notice from her side that I'd given the money to the stripper and it flew out the window. All that happened soooooo fast. I couldn't believe my money was flying out like that as I watched it. We doubled back and of course all the money was gone.
That car ride back to the SC was so quiet. Everbody was mad at someone else. Driver was like why did you give her all the money? I'm like why didn't you stop driving immediately? We both asking ol gal, why would you wave money so carelessly next to a wide open window as we speeding?
We get back to the SC and sit at the same table before all this began. Somber mood. You'd think the 2 dancers woukd get to work, but nobody was in the mood anymore. The driver sided with me: as I started to argue that I technically paid so I need to get some free lapdances or something. The driver wanted to be compensated from ol' girl for missing at least 2 hrs of work driving us around. Ol' girl was in no mood, she had plans for that money and couldn't believe she messed up like that. She was really upset with herself after that. She didnt wanna lift up her head for anything.
Months later I ran into the driver again and we finally laughed about it. She's like my friend can be a real airhead.
But, of course, to this day I wonder if that was all planned. Did really all the money fly outta her hand? Did they conspire somehow while I went to one of the ATMs. I dont think so, but I wonder...I always got the sense that they worked together and maybe helped each other, but weren't that close...
