Clubbing on Valentine's Day: Ultimate PL?
Well, I ended up going to Bogart's in Inkster. Average crowd, but only 4 girls working the night shift. Stayed only long enough to finish my drink and enjoy the view. Oh well.

On my Way to Adalitas
And yes, the rules are (were?) different for cruises. Having to wait a couple hours in a holding room upon your return home kind of fucks up your trip. See www.dhs.gov/files/crossingborders/travelers.shtm

Recent experience: went last July. I have a passport, as the US government tells you it is required for entry, even for citizens. The two US citizens a few places ahead of me in line do not. Border patrol gave them a very hard time about it. Lots of intrusive questions. They were lucky they were only detained a few extra minutes. Save yourself the hassle in the long run and get a passport.

What if the Stripper freely gives an extra?
Depends on the circumstances, the club, and the girl. I've had this happen with no expectation for extra $$, and other times where the girl demands a HUGE tip after. I've learned to clearly state all expectations up front, or, when this happens, to ask what she expects.

Safety in Tijuana?
You have to decide what level of risk you are willing to accept. Getting to the bars in is relatively easy and safe if you take a taxi once you cross the border. Be sure to check the fare in advance. The bars themselves felt safe--people everywhere on the weeknight that I went. As for disease, condoms will prevent disease in most, but not all, cases. Read up on safe use. Many people go (obviously) and have no problems, but, like everything many of us members here do, not without its risks. Not a definitive answer, but I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all here. As for the experience itself, other than it being relatively cheap, I didn't really have a great time. My Spanish is limited. The girl was interesting in getting it done as quickly as possible. I learned I'd rather spend more on quality here in the good ol' USA. But I'm also open to trying again.

I second Industrial Strip. Pretty good mileage as far as Chicago-area clubs go, but nowhere near Detroit. Zipcar is a nice alternative to cabs, which would be expensive all the way to IS.

Midwest Peep Shows
I believe some (or all) Deja Vu locations have some kind of peep shows, but I haven't yet had the opportunity to partake.

A Year Being a Regular: Part I
Excellent story. My experience parallels yours, and I'm sure other guys would agree too. Looking forward to the next part, though I already have a guess as to how it goes.

A catch-all account
Pathetic Losers Anonymous
Don't be so hard on yourself; this is quite the story. I was in the same type of situation and believed her when she told me I was the only one. (To this day, even with the benefit of time and hindsight, I still believe she was truthful.) But I knew I was traveling through Loserville when the mere *thought* that she was screwing other guys made me sick to my stomach. I beat a hasty retreat, and though I still see her occasionally -- best sex I've ever had -- I try to keep things professional and at arms length. So, my name is Joe, and I'm a PL.

Stripper Love and Big Mistakes
Good comments here. I wasn't looking for a therapy session, and now that more time has passed (I wrote this a few weeks ago and it took another week to get published), I'm feeling even luckier to have escaped the situation relatively unscathed. And lucky that she's a good person who hasn't gone back on her promise to keep our relationship quiet. Finally, a little distance (in time and in the fact I still haven't gone back to her club) helps immensely. FYI for those that asked, or those who were wondering, I think the word that best describes the situation is infatuation. I was infatuated with her and the situation. It wasn't about money, because (as I noted in the main article), I rarely paid her. Sure, I was a regular at the club, but I rarely paid her for OTC. I'm just glad that this has made a couple guys think twice about what they're doing. Maybe not all of us will stop, but hopefully we'll all stop and think first.

Dating a Dancer and Trusting Her. Is it Possible?
It's interesting this article was posted the same day as mine, as the two stories sort of go together. Yes, you can trust a dancer. Like others have said in the comments, you have to trust your own instincts to determine who you decide to take into your life. We all have our problems, dancers and customers included. I would say, though, your point about jealousy is very important. You can believe you are not a jealous person, but given the line of work we're talking about, it's very difficult to not think about what she's doing at work, even if she's a good girl.

Strip Club Etiquette, Thoughts and Observations
You're right, this is all common sense, but you're also right that many guys don't do these things. In my experience, both personal and observational, your tips go a lot farther than the type of childish or thuggish behavior I often see.

How To Bag a Stripper
Why are we still debating this? I think it's pretty simple. Be yourself. Not some jacked up, douchebag wannabe, but just yourself. If she likes you, and you develop a rapport with her, she just might consider taking it to the next level. You know, like a real woman. It may still be about the money for a while, but you also might get lucky enough to get to the "next level" so to speak. Try it for a change.
