Hope no one was hurt in the fire. I'm sure whatever insurance claim can be made is probably far greater than the value of that dump.

It's closed for good, I drove past it last Friday night and all the lights were off. There is a new liquor license application in the window though, so maybe someone wants to reopen it, who knows.

PA COVID restrictions currently say that you can only order alcohol with food, hence the hotdogs.

ControVersy, the second-newest club in Pittsburgh, was under protest before it opened due to being located next door to a rehab center for alcoholics. The rehab place threatened to take pictures of the clients as they went in the SC and post them publicly on Facebook. Not sure if they ever followed through with that but I know the club did get raided and shut down for a few months... it's since reopened.

Prolly should actually be HLD. Hot Lap Dance Club. Basically a loft apartment that functioned as a lapdance factory. Closed back in 2008 in a prostitution raid. Managed to go a few times before it shut down, had a good time but was very expensive even by NYC standards.

Cheerleaders in Pittsburgh has "Twofer Tuesdays." $2 cover and 2-for-1 lapdances. Oh, and $2 Coors Light, which is still way too expensive.
It's easily their most popular night, even moreso than Fridays...

Obviously, the contributors to Lonely Planet have never visited Johnstown, PA...or Youngstown, OH...far far more depressing cities IMHO...and no strip clubs in sight to redeem themselves.

I always get Annie Lennox mixed up with Aimee Mann, myself.
I've had lots of strippers tell me I have a "great body"...while I'm not grossly overweight, my gut still protrudes out noticeably.
Then there was a girl who made the mistake of telling me she went to a specific college and lived in a certain area. I happen to know both the college and neighborhood quite well, so I start asking her about various local stores, festivals, etc....she starts stuttering and stammering and had no idea what I was talking about. See, this is why smart dancers ask the GUY about these things first, so they can say "me too!" and then "bond" with him repeating facts they read about that city on the Internet. :-)

I nominate myself for the Hall of Shame...after feeding the obvious troll that is greenvegas. I realized that I shouldn't do it about three seconds after I hit the "Post" button. In fact, I'm giving him the attention he obviously never got from mommy and daddy just by mentioning him now, so this will be the last time I ever do that.
As for good posters, I appreciate BaddJack for his witty writing style and shadowcat for his seeming extensive experience, not just in clubs, but many other aspects of life as well.

I've only ever gotten FS once in a club, and it turned out to be completely unenjoyable because she was being extremely paranoid the whole time-and with good reason, as the bouncer did come in a few times.
On the other hand, I've gotten a few BJs, all in VIP rooms in places that were pretty "lasseiz-faire"...the difference in attitude was well worth it, IMHO. Not to mention the lowered (though still present) risk of STDs.

I'd add Vancouver to the list of "opposite" cities that one might think would be better. Beautiful city overall, but the SCs I visited were completely lame.

@samsung: Depressed economy? Hardly (sure, nothing like it was in the heyday of the steel industry but we're doing ok). Depressed baseball team? Absolutely. :-)
Since someone asked for it, I'll go ahead with my top clubs in case anyone does decide to visit:
1 and 2 (tie)-Cheerleaders/Blush. Sorry, I couldn't really decide between the two, they're that close. Both have high dancer quality and quantity, and great (though pricey) lapdances.
3. Silky's, McKees Rocks-a great "value" alternative to the above clubs (as well as Erotica down the road). $10 cover includes free beer all night. No real extras (at least in the club) but great high-contact dances from some of the friendliest strippers I've met.
4. Beemer's, McKeesport-takes a bit of of patience and luck, but you can have a very good time in a reasonably priced VIP with the right girl.

Never slept in a club myself, but on a slow afternoon at a local joint I go into occasionally, I once saw several of the *dancers* napping on the couches. One even brought a blanket with her--I admit it looked quite comfy and I wanted to snuggle underneath it with her. :-)

Is there anyone else here who now has a perverse desire to actually visit this club just to see the living nightmare? It actually sounds like a fascinating microcosm of humanity that we don't get to see too often. :-)
All joking aside, great review...as someone who recently had a terrible experience in a club, I wish I could have written about it with such style.

Dunno about legal issues, but maintenance and cleaning costs would likely be astronomical, hence why no club (that I'm aware of) has one.
That's not to say it's not something I wouldn't like to see.

OK, I have to admit, I LOL'd when reading this.
Still no idea if you're joking or really are this pathetic, but regardless, I'll have a drink in your honor tonight, GV.

@chandler:
No, I've never actually agreed to this; I just said something like "I already ate before coming in" or something like that (which is usually true anyways).
I agree that I wouldn't mind the scenario you described--having (and paying for) a meal with a dancer after talking and getting to know her a bit first. But both times they've basically just gone and asked out of nowhere, the same way some just ask for lap dances out of nowhere--and like most folks here (I imagine), I'm not a fan of hard-selling.

Was randomly browsing through reviews and came across this one, thought it was amusing. As a reviewer explains, it used to be a wood furniture store, which makes it even funnier. Pity it's gotten terrible reviews.
