Appeals Court Rules Brady Must Serve SuspensionI'm by no means a fan of Roger Goodell and "The Shield" but I'm glad the NFL won. (and it has nothing to do with my like or dislike of Tom Brady)
The NFL has the right to suspend players and Goodell gets to decide the appeal. This was collectively bargained by the players union. Goodell did not want every player who gets suspended to file a court case.
You don't want the criminals running penitentiary, so to speak.

Chamberlain vs Alcindor...awesome footageWilt left college early but in those days you weren't allowed to enter the NBA early. So he played for the Harlem Globetrotters for a year. Ironically, he made money playing for the Globetrotters than in his rookie NBA contract

When I was a young man ....AIDS really messed up strip clubs.
It's hard to say if strip clubs are better or worse than 30 years ago, but they have changed. In the early 80's (pre Rock Hudson death) dances were either non-existent or they were air table dances. (I'm only speaking of my midwest area). But stage tipping was so much better. For only a dollar, you got a 10-15 second sloppy DFK. What are bargain if you like kissing.

GaydarI've never been approached. I guess one of the advantages of being fat. Didn't Seinfeld say gay guys are thin and neat. I'm neither.

FX Series: "The People vs OJ Simpson"I thought David Schimmer seemed oddly cast. I thought he was too young. But I'm Rong. Kardashian was 50 during the trial and Schwimmer is 49.
One thing I never knew -- Kardashian was not a practicing attorney at the time. He had let his law license expire (he was in the music industry) and had to get his license re-instated for the trial.

78 Sears and KMarts to CloseOld timers are shaking their heads and wondering how a once mighty retail institution like Sears has failed. They really failed to create a brand identity in modern day retail. Who wants to buy a wrench at the same store as a woman's dress?
When I was a kid in the 60's and early 70's, we went to Sears a lot. Year after year, you would see the same sales people. They were career professionals who dressed in a coat and tie and worked on commission in many departments.
It's another case of you can't have it both ways. In places like Vermont, the libs picket against Wal-Mart for not paying a living wage or offering health insurance. But people don't wanna at Sears either. You can't have it both ways.
