Al's in Newark, Club Celebration in Neptune, Stars and bars in Long branch, Fahrenheit in Asbury park. Phoenix in Asbury park.
all were wild party places. Anything was available. Phoenix might be the seediest place I've ever seen.

the best way to avoid this, in my experience, is to be clear. Come back and we can chat will not work as well as come back in ten minutes and we will go for two dances.

What happened? Depends on where, when and who.
Apologies for not realizing this booth, closet or whatever was taken and them leaving. Dancer joining in. Customer trying to join in or creepily watch us. We were told to stop or get thrown out. A few times, the bouncer or manager demanded a tip to leave us alone.

this was known until recently, under different names, Fetish affairs and VIP events.
you get whatever you negotiate with the dancer for whatever price. The hotter, younger ladies are more expensive. Not every dancer will be accommodating. On my trips it had a large number of people into the foot fetish.
Keeping in mind I haven't been in a few years; you should go and experience this party or one like it at least once. it can be a good option for someone in the NYC area that wants to keep things ITC.

since the OP mentions NJ specifically, and not everyone is familiar with the typical NJ GO Go..
The stage is behind the bar. The customer cannot go up to the stage to tip a dancer. He must wait for her to come down from the stage and walk the inside of the bar to get tips. I don't know any customer that is upset when a dancer comes down after her set and collects tips.
The problem is the abuse of this by dancers. Usually, two or three dancers that have not danced in a while will be working the bar for tips. Often it will be more. Each dancer makes numerous rounds. Each hits the customer up for a dollar for this tit, then that tit, her ass and mustn't forget the kitty. As soon as she leaves, the next dancer is in your face. Within a few minutes the first one is back in front of you. This can go on nonstop for hours in some clubs. A guy that doesn't say "no" can spend fifty to one hundred in an hour on the tip parade.
Some may flash a nipple or let you cop a feel of her tit. Others do nothing but walk up and squeeze their tits together or hold out their hand expecting several dollars for no show, no interaction. It is not uncommon for women sitting at the bar to get up and start the parade whenever a new customer walks in. Three, four, five dancers in bikinis that haven't been on stage in over an hour are pushing for tips.
how do i handle it, "i'll gladly tip you after your set, come back to me". "No thank you, i haven't seen you dance yet." "i've already tipped you a few minutes ago" Do they get upset? sure, some do.

a dancer told me the $30 is because that is the price jersey girls down the street is charging. they could undercut Jersey Girls and be packed, or they can raise their rates to cut jersey girls a break.

How long does it take you to get up and walk to the door?
A reasonable person would interpret this as, you were leaving, you saw her, you stayed 15 minutes, maybe longer, waited for her to come out of the dressing room to leave at the same time she did.

as for the OP. consider a trip to the Baltics, Czechia, Slovakia and some other eastern European countries. you have a good chance of getting laid just by being an American willing to show the local ladies a good time. I only do standard tourist stuff, regular bars and the bar in my hotel and always find company.

We've discussed this before. why dancers and not escorts? for me, part of the answer is, with a dancer, once you agree to a meet up and a price, anything that happens is included. The dancer will stay as long as she is having fun. As others have noted, if she feels comfortable and safe, things become more fun. You may even have to remind them to leave.
The escort is on the clock. go over? it will cost you. Do something extra and she will charge you.
The downsides of dancers are they flake out often and don't show. They will start to view you as an ATM.

I've been invited to a party at a night club with several dancers and their BF's, sugar daddies and benefactors. the other option is a more intimate affair. Dinner, a show, then back to my place.
the first option almost always involves a guy trying to impress by offering to pay for everything. more often than not, he cannot, and the other men need to kick in at the last minute. Or we have to listen to the guy remind us every few minutes that he is paying for all of us.
the choice is spending the night with some assholes, dumping a small fortune for food, drinks and a limo I didn't want, all so I can get home as the sun comes up and maybe get some halfhearted action. If I am lucky, I will get to hold her hair as she pukes in the toilet. Did I mention the occasional fight because someone was staring at one of the too much?
Or a hot young woman dressed to impress will accompany me to an excellent dinner, music I do enjoy and an overnight session to start the new year off right.
To be fair, some of those parties were fun. why risk it?

as a widower myself, grieving never ends. the sting and pain lessen. There will always be something to trigger the grief. you learn to deal with it. we can go to private messages if you want.
There is no right answer. There is only an answer for you. You will make mistakes in some of the steps to getting back to normal. When you feel ready to do something, do it. Set deadlines. Ring comes off on this date, all of her personal items will be handled by that date. Include strip clubs, dating etc in that list. If you find it was too soon, step back and modify your schedule. You will feel pain and guilt on each of these steps. Like any other injury, you need to put up with the pain of healing in order to heal.
My wife enjoyed going to the clubs with me. That made it both easier and harder on me to get back to this hobby. I'll not expand on that here.
the comment about not drinking.. good advice. Do not get drunk. wait a year. You will end up wallowing in your grief and set yourself back in the healing process.

remind her that you will only continue getting dances if you enjoy them. You won't enjoy her dances if she is nagging you or starting a fight. If she wants to continue getting your money, you need to continue enjoying her dances.

fresh coffee, Some sort of Caribbean seasoned eggs and sausage on a toasted roll. it was delicious and perfectly cooked. This is not the first meal she's made for us and all have been good.
