Try the Hyatt. They smile and wave you on through if they talk to you at all. And it’s a pretty nice place and a little bit closer to constitution.

This is in line with the recent increase in the 30 minute rate from around $17 to $30. They want mongers downstairs cycling thru the girls and they want girls who are not with one guy for 10 hours at a time. TLN doesn’t fit this business model.
You can always vote against the model with your wallet.

I hear these stats often trying to vilify strip clubs but I never see, nor can I find, comparable data for other late night bars and clubs in the same geographic area over the same time frame. I would argue nightclubs and bars have similar if not worse statistics.

Just go with the lowest expectations possible, no matter what you assume will happen you will be wrong. Friday and Saturday night are way too crowded but you can always slide next door to AB or across the street to Chicago if wall to wall ppl is an issue. It is with me. Any daytime visit can be fun, I mean WILL be fun if your expectations are not pre set. Everyone likes different things and it sounds like you really just want to scope out the scene and join in on the fringes, entirely reasonable and can be great fun. Don’t forget to check out the other places on the block, Chicago and Adeletas can be interesting and fun although a little quiet sometimes. And if you are there in the daylight walking around the block checking out the street scene can be a nice break from the chaos of the clubs.
Don’t worry about the boarder thing, just be slow and deliberate and grunt one word answers if asked anything. Normally you won’t be unless you look scared or nervous. Just know what you can and can’t have on you (NO drugs or weapons or large sums of cash) and assume that they have to let you cross eventually. Only thing that can go wrong is it can take longer returning to the USA than you want it to. I have stood in the queue for 2 hours when I forgot my global card and I have walked thru in 2 minutes when I thought the line would be enormous. Wish I could join you but I’ll be headed to Europe finally to return to the FKKs post Covid. So far they still have masks in Germany so that’s a bummer.

Third eye, it sounds like you haven’t been in the game very long otherwise you would realize this is a pretty common occurrence. 1 million things could’ve happened from she was lying about the amount of money she made or being an immigrant or the couple who paid her $1000 hired her as a nanny to live in. Or maybe she just heard from the manager there was some creepy guy kept asking where she was and why didn’t she come in. Or maybe she got deported.

And please try and remember to report back your experiences. Your first impressions will be significantly more valuable to someone who is thinking of going their first time.

Dave, sounds like you are too cynical to ever be open to meeting people that are not “only in it for what they can get”. I get it, life has a way of making us that way, especially if we have had some good fortune or been successful. Many people will have their hand out. Sorry for your loss.
Altruistic behavior can help heal that cynicism but it must be true altruism. And it doesn’t need to be financial based either, in fact it works best if it’s not (although that’s harder to achieve).

Not knocking BDD at all, I love that place, but you are an admitted noobie to the hobby and saying you overpaid in Vegas then detailing how you VASTLY overpaid in Dallas (for what you got) tells me you are not very skilled in the game yet.
I can easily visualize how Vegas went and I can imagine what you paid (everything you had on you and probably a huge credit card charge to boot) and I can guess you didn’t get what you expected to get. Age old story on rinse, repeat in Vegas 24/7.
Some people say Vegas is full of ROBs but I say the town is full of amateurs who let their guard down when boobies make an appearance. And there are plenty of “entertainers” quite willing to take advantage of the wise eyed rookies. If you really want to see ROB talent go to sapphire or spearmint rhino. Judging the Vegas scene by what happened at Scores is ridiculous. Let me guess, a cabbie “explained” how the Vegas club scene worked when you asked him to take you to rhino.

Iced - Ohio said there was a crisis in Vegas gambling. I was responding to that. There is no crisis there if profits are up 30%
The rest of the stuff you mentioned is all over the country and not just in Vegas. In fact I would argue that it is worse in many parts of the country than it is in Las Vegas.

Bigeye I think you need more lessons on how the dancer/club relationship works. Most places the club gets a stage fee and a VIP room fee and the dancer keeps all the lap dance money she can make.

shyoh, your statement “Vegas has been facing a major crisis over the last few years with more and more states legalizing some form of gambling” is just false.
Vegas is in the middle of a record gambling profits run, hitting all time profit growth numbers for every month since they reopened. 20 and 30 percent over pre pandemic numbers every month. New multi billion dollar resorts and record visitor numbers even before conventions get fully back on track.

As someone who lives there, there are still lots of deals in Las Vegas. Just not on the strip at the largest hotels. You can still find $30 rooms a block off the strip and $5 breakfasts that are great.
I just got back from 5 days at Niagara Falls and that has high prices in Vegas trumped big time. Spent $35 for pancakes (with a view mind you but still) $4.79 for coffee etc. $100 for breakfast for two. Off the tourist street, back to normal prices.
I think too many people have enough money that they can fade the high prices so they just say “screw it, I’m too lazy to try and find a deal”. In Vegas and at every high tourist spot.

You are right to regret missing a chance to visit Olympic Garden in it heyday. That place was crazy good.
Hopefully this mgmt group is well funded enough to survive the growing pains and that they are smart enough to find their niche before they crater. In that neighborhood sounds like they are still a bit overpriced and offering less value than across the street.

And what’s a few dead by accident and several dead innocent bystanders anyhoo if at least a couple bad guys get wasted in the process. Measuring the random shootings and the accidental deaths by guns it’s a tough equation to decide if it’s worth it.
On the other hand, I’ll continue to carry until they work it out. If you are in the same boat just make sure you’re trained in gun safety and tactical use so you don’t blow my head off “by accident”.
