Not that the police do much of anything here. There is a psycho who lives in my building, and somebody the other day talked about contacting the police over disturbances he was causing. And their response back was basically “meh”. And citywide in general, if you get a catalytic converter or even an entire vehicle stolen, have fun with that. 🤷🏻♀️
Oh and there’s all sorts of bumper stickers like linked to earlier in certain parts of Colorado. Probably the nearest from Denver is Parker. RandomMember can be found in the parking lot at the Costco there with all sorts of content about “owning the libs”
Yeah a lot of cops aren't feeling so motivated these days. They only took the job cause it meant being able to rough up and fuck over unlimited black and brown people over the age of 8.
I know scientists wonder what affect the altitude might have on mass shooters there seems to be more in Colorado per capita. I haven’t looked into but it’s interesting

We as citizens call on the cops to deal w/ the worst of the worst in society - the cops generally don't have the luxury of just "walking away from a situation"; if they have to make an arrest they have to go thru w/ it and not just say "forget it never-mind" if a person does not cooperate - cops often have to deal w/ dangerous, aggressive, violent, criminals - more often than not when things go sideways it's b/c the perp is resisting and cops have to use equal or greater force in order to subdue a perp that does not wanna be arrested - it's asking too-much of cops to ask them to deal w/ the worst of the worst in society then simultaneously tell them to not use force - likely 9 out of 10, or more, incidents that go sideways wouldn't go sideways if the perps cooperated - not saying cops are perfect and that there aren't bad-cops like in any profession, but if one is a law-abiding citizen one has to worry way more about the criminals amongst us than a bad run-in w/ a cop - the Dem party has in large-part thrown cops under-the-bus as part of their political-strategy and why many cops today, likely more-so in blue-cities, rather avoid dealing w/ a perp, especially a minority, if they can avoid it.
I hear these stats often trying to vilify strip clubs but I never see, nor can I find, comparable data for other late night bars and clubs in the same geographic area over the same time frame. I would argue nightclubs and bars have similar if not worse statistics.
Portland has a somewhat lower violent crime rate than Denver. Even though Portland seems to have the most strip clubs per capita of any big city. So strip clubs don't seem to be the cause.
Us old farts are prone to saying strippers should be down with our dinosaur music, since we claim to be the best money. But maybe it's just the clubs that prefer us, since old men have generally already done all the crimes that they're going to do.
These reports don't really give any explanation. They don't sound like robberies.
We have talked about this before, I don't talk to the customers in strip clubs. No reason to, and the vast majority seem not worth talking to. And generally I see no value in talking to drunks anyway.
As far as Colorado I do not know who this jibes with their typical crime patterns. Maybe these clubs are going light on security, or maybe they are pushing alcohol too hard.
^ about Colorado, we need to read witness statements or from trial proceedings as to what seemed to be going on. Revenge, retaliation, fight, involving a girl, what?
And the COVID precautions and crash have definitely put people under pressure.
We had one civvie nightclub in San Jose which the city was trying to close because of violence. I went and asked doormen at other clubs what they were doing wrong. What came back was
1. Over serving on alcohol
2. Bussing people in from out of town based on flyers which promoted it as a chance to beat up on locals.
Need to hear more about the Colorado situation to understand.
ilbbaicnl, whites are the victims in the US not non-whites, who are heavily privileged. Also Portland (the one on Oregon) is an extremely violent city with nightly riots and political violence going on for years.

And another incident that I don’t think even made the local news.

Shot at a strip club is OG, but Kroger exec chocked out by a bouncer is pretty lame.

Maybe someone else knows something about this.
