Resistance is futile
San Diego is not a liberal strip club town. Neither is all of New England, particularly Massachusetts.
But you are right, making it rain is not an efficient or effective way of engaging with strippers.

I have a couple of times, all were uneventful except one time the power went out, emergency floor lighting came on, so. It was still dim. One of my favorite dancers came over, sat in my lap, played with junior and whispered that the cameras weren’t working. We adjourned to the VIP room which was then I realized that there was no music. The dancer played some tunes on her iphone, and we pretty much did everything.

Sorry for the two posts, but I hit send too early
The third time I was getting a nice table dance with some OTP stick shifting in an upscale club. The floor mom began making rounds talking to all the dancers. After she left mine, the dancer told me that there was an undercover cop in the club. That cut short my visit.
The fourth time was odd, the house lights came up and most the dancers immediately headed for the dressing room. They were followed by a policewoman and another woman in a suit. Turns out they were giving warnings to the dancers not wearing nipple coverings, a seldom enforced regulation here.
I have been told that certain announcements by the DJ were meant as warnings to the dancers that there were undercover cops in the club.
I have been to clubs, especially in downtown areas where cops still walked beats, where a couple of uniformed cops would show up and stand just outside the entryway to enjoy a free show for 10 or 15 minutes.
Many clubs I have been to have sported stickers or posters out front or in the lobby that they supported various police functions an organizations. I suppose to deter raids

I have never been arrested in a strip club, but I have had experiences with raids and/or visits from the police.
The first was in the 70s where the club was raided for violating some its ordinance. The bartender, doorman who took the cover charge where all given citations, I guess because they handled money for illegal activities. The manager was arrested and taken off. All of the customers were asked to show ID and their naves an addresses written down.
The second was a bit unusual and had little to do with the fact that it was a strip club. About 1100 at night the club lights came up and a couple of uniformed officers accompanied by a couple of suits (lawyers?), went around checking people’s Ids against a list of people who had outstanding warrants. I don’t think they found any, but they did give out a couple for underage drinking. It was a college town. This whole event was kind of a downer, so after the cops left, I, and others oved down the street to another club. Ten minutes afterI got there, the whole scenario played out again.

Joker44 - Thanks for the constructive criticism. I try to write accurate, detailed, and useful reviews. I didn’t visit the VIP room, and it has been a long time since I was in there, if at all, so I didn’t think I could write an description of it. With the cost of the VIP room compared to the experiences one can get in the CHapagne room I probably won’t be in it in the foreseeable future. But never say never, huh?
There were only 5 or 6 dancers there while I was there and I described 4 of them. I only saw one of the others, a well built African American in passing, so I didn’t think I could offer an accurate description. I think another dancer was leaving the VIP room as I was leaving the club and I don’t think I could give an accurate description of her. But I think describing four out of five or 6 is covering it adequately.
As to paragraphs, I paid attention in English comp.

If you have ever inserted multiple coins into coin operated device you have used algebra. Similarly, if you have ever verified that the cashier has given you correct change, or the ATM the correct number of 20s, you have used algebra. I realize these days the use of analog cash is dwindling, but I think most people on this list have done these things.

Pretty much sums it up accurately. The only reason to go is that it is the only game in town.

It is hard for me to imagine that Chicas Bonitas would be stricter than any LA/SFV club about anything, let alone attire. I haven’t been to Talk of the Town, so I can’t comment about that club.
DesertScrub’s suggestion is probably as good as any; you will meet a better class of woman than at Chicas, but it will cost you more. Probably not as much more as you would think when you total everything you might spend at Chicas. Desert may even loan you a few Powerwasher PSI3050 corporate business cards to further impress the women you meet. :^)=

While it is not up to par, even par in Utah is not what most of us would call satisfactory.

Phoenix
It is one of those places that are OK if there are no other strip clubs around. I think I may have been one of the last ones to review this. I think the above review is pretty spot on and most of the clubs in Phoenix are better places to spend you money. But when I was there several dancers strongly hinted at OTC, including one who said she wishes she had a place to stay in Payton instead of having to drive back to Phoenix.

I am not writing many reviews these days, being retired and on a limited income, only part of which I can spend on clubbing. But, I read your review, and I probably would have approved it, and 5 out of 7 did, so you are on the right track. I think perhaps you did talk a bit too much about the details of your dance and with only two dancers it would probably not be too hard to figure out who was doing you in the private dance room.
As others have said, following Fouinder’s guidelines is a good start to writing an interesting review and getting it approved.
I took your review, and edited it along Founder’s guidelines. I cleaned up some grammar, broke it up into paragraphs and may have guessed (embellished?) a bit with details you should have included, but didn’t. It contains the same information as your original did, but it is easier to read and extract useful information from, as well as not giving too much information on illegal activities.
Here is my edited version of your review.
I stopped by this club late. There was no cover charge. I’ve been coming here for years. This is a dive bar with a mostly local older patrons. Most of the time this place sucks but you can get lucky if you hit it right. I got lucky on this trip. There is a pool table and lap dance booth with a curtain right next to the DJ box. It was dead. But, although this was a Tuesday evening, even on weekends this place is dead.
In addition to the bouncer, there was a bartender, who was better looking than the dancers. There were four customers in the bar when I walked in, all of them old, and in the past year or so I’ve never seen more than four other people in the place when I walk in. There were only two dancers. Both were large, nothing to look at but both seemed like fun. The dancers sat at the bar and didn’t even dance.
Finally, the heavy latina one came over and had 2 beers with me. Beers were $4 each. She got right to business trying to convince me to get private dances, and that was fun, but I was waiting to see if any better looking girls would show or if I could get a dance from the skinny long haired bartender. I think if I pursued it I could have had her but I was pressed for time. There are no dances on the floor, so, the latina and I went to the lap dance room. She was not much of a dancer but she immediately took her top off. There is no set price for the private dances, one negotiates with each dancer. We negotiated a price for what I wanted, but she was very persuasive and did more than I wanted and the little brain did not resist. I ended up paying $150 for everything I wanted, except for some reason she wouldn’t let me finger her. Even though her skills were weak, I left satisfied.
To summarize costs, there is no cover, drinks are $3, and dance prices are negotiated with the dancer. There was no stage dancing when I was there, so I don’t know about tipping at the rail and what that gets you. It is cheap place, but the value usually isn’t there.
This place is hit or miss. Like I said above, most of the time this place sucks but you can get lucky if you hit it at the right time with the right dancer. There are never more than one or two girls and they usually look like they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. There are better alternatives.

Context - Private dance in club not known for extras. I am testing the limits of the dancer with lots of resistance.
Dancer: “I don’t do that, but I can find you a dance that will.”
And she did.

With a long white beard and hair, I often get taken for Santa Claus around Christmas. That is nice as I get a lot of “Can I sit on Santa’s lap?”.
I have been mistaken for a bassist with some band or another, but I forget who. The dancers who make this mistake always want to know if I can get them tickets or passes. They often don’t believe me when I tell them I am not who they think I am and redouble their efforts to get free passes.
Once when I entered a club I don’t go to very often, the dancer on stage immediately left the stage and there was quire a commotion among the dancers and most headed to the dressing room. Then a couple of them went out and talked to the bouncer. The bouncer came over, asked to see my ID and asked a few questions. I thought it all strange. He went back to the dressing room and things returned to normal. Later a dancer that I knew from another club came by and said that I looked like the husband of the dancer who had left the stage, who apparently did not know she stripped.

Red Parrot in El Paso, TD’s North in Albuquerque, and Shady Lady in Salina, KS are good with high mileage dances and occasional extras from most dancers. I had a good time at Night Trips in OKC, but the mileage was a notch or two below the clubs mentioned above. The Colorado clubs tend to be high cost, low mileage. Mileage, high or otherwise, is essentially non-existent in Utah. Many of the clubs in and around LA offer high mileage, especially City of Industry and Anaheim (?) although I haven’t been clubbing there in a long time.
Good luck and let us know what you decide and what your experiences are. Write reviews.
