Continuing on my trans-Arizona road trip, after a disappointing time at Venom, see my review there, I decided to head over to Raider’s Reef. While either Venom or Raider’s Reef can disappoint at times, I figured the chances of both being subpar at the same time were low. but on a Sunday, you can never tell.

Raider’s Reef is affectionately known as “The Boat” among locals, as it is a former seafood restaurant shaped like a boat. It has been a strip club for as long as I have been visiting Tucson, though. There is a large paved parking lot in the rear. After entering the club, you walk down a few steps to the main floor; don’t trip. The bar is to the right as you enter and the stage straight ahead. I paid no cover, I suspect because it was Sunday.

There are two rooms for private dances on the side of the club, a Champagne room and a VIP room. Champagne room dances are priced at $25 each, but some dancers will ask for $30. Ask before you get a dance what the cost is and if it is more than $25, ask what you get for the extra $5. Champagne Room entry is free. It is not really private, but good enough and when I was there no one else was using the room. Champagne room mileage was good for me and often in the past when I have visited, extra good with the right dancer. I didn’t visit the VIP room but I am told it costs $100 plus whatever you negotiate with the dancer, and, being cheap, I didn't even consider VIP.
