I took about a year off from clubbing when Trump one. I thought the combination of his immigration polices and a booming economy would make sc's shitty. Most dancers at the clubs I go to are immigrants from Latin America so I figured with all the ICE raids going on near me those chicks would be gone. Plus a better economy means more customers and more economic opportunities for girls outside the club. I thought all of that would create a supply and demand issue. I was really wrong. Clubs have more hot chicks than ever! Dances are good. What am I missing here? Why are the clubs banging right now?
More available money to spend should mean more/better dancers in clubs looking to make fast money. However, everywhere I've been lately, the clubs are dying: no customers and sub-par dancers.
Great point 501traveler. I find clubs so much more efficient as well- I do not have the time for hours of research searching for an acceptable girl. I am curious about the future of the hobby though. Surely sex work will never cease, it is one of the oldest professions after all. However, there don't seem to be too many young guys in the scene anymore (could be my area).
I believe in "a high tide lifts all boats" - better economy means more potential $$$ in the clubs - I would assume bad $$$ in the clubs would drive dancers out of the clubs at a more rapid pace than finding jobs outside the club bc of s good economy, although the latter probably had its effects also.
The economy was on fire in the late 90s and so were the clubs - during the 2008 meltdown I don't think the clubs were that great at least in comparison to the prior years (from what I remember)
Why do people keep saying they can get jobs outside the strip club? Some of them (majority?) sure. But definitely not all of them. If they could get a better job most of them wouldn't be strippers. I think stripping is a last resort for most women or am i wrong?
“I think stripping is a last resort for most women or am i wrong?”
Stripping tends to attract outlier women—on both sides of the bell curve.
I have no clue on economic conditions and strip clubs. I’m going to try to look into this. (Though the studies done on this will probably be about full service. Would that be comparable?)
@nicespice my thoughts were always like yours. In a good economy a hot chic can get a job as a receptionist. Reading through the comments I'm wondering if Papi has a point. There's more money to be had in a club when lots of men are working. Maybe I'm not willing to sit around naked being fondled by strangers when there's not that much money to be had. But if there are enough economic opportunities in the club, maybe I'll let my ass freeze as strangers pinch it. All I know for sure is that I started clubbing right around the start of the great recession and always assumed bitches let me touch their titties cause times were tight. Plenty of really hot girls happy to let me touch their titties now though.

I think you’re wrong, it’s not a last resort, it’s a choice. And a smart choice for the women who have the body and the temperament to do the job. It is as close to self employed as most women want to get, no financial risk or heavy lifting. No or little taxes, work your own hours, generate as much cash as your willing to go after with as little effort as possible.
While the economy is sizzling and unemployment is low, wages have also remained low. The majority of strippers only have the education and/or skills to hold low wage jobs which will not sustain a single mother with child/ren. They will make more money with less effort stripping. I just met a dancer who had been working as a butcher at a packing house for 2-3 years who just went back to stripping because she could not afford the upkeep on her car to get her to/from the job and support her one-year old child.
Strip clubs are not nearly as seedy as the were many years ago so it seems, among younger people, that stripping has become more mainstream and acceptable. Meanwhile many boomer customers are reaching retirement age with less family responsibility and more disposable retirement income which contributes to available money to be spent in SC.

You're wrong. With the exception of those who are dancing because they have criminal records, most if not all could work elsewhere, especially now. In cities with license and/or background check requirements, most of the girls in the clubs don't even have any serious criminal issues, yet they choose to work as dancers.
Most of them work in the clubs because the earning potential ITC is much higher than their next best option, which is likely low wage hourly work. They also enjoy the cash nature of it and we all know that Uncle Sam is likely seeing very little of it. In my area, a good % of them have kids to feed. But they are by no means trapped with no other options.
The Trump Taj Mahal once opened a strip club, making Trump the only President associated with a strip club. So, you expected a strip-pocalypse when he was elected ? Umm, no.
I. not familiar with strip clubs where dancers get paid for showing up. I thought they had to perform dances etc to get paid. Everyone on salary gets paid whether they show up for work or call in sick or take a vacation day. Of course they are expected to perform while at work. Regardless they show up and get paid whether or not work is done.
Working at McDonald's or Walmart might be a last resort rather than stripping for many girls. I've heard stripping is better than a regular job. Depends if the girl has the look and ability.
Trumps economy is booming. More people have more money. He's delivering what he promised. Now if he could just get some good trade deals worked out people would be much happier. I prefer hones to be more affordable but I heard Canadian timber tariffs were adding thousands to the cost of a new home.
Thanks nice spice. I didn't realize he was talking about a pay schedule. Many people get paid every week instead of instantly for a job or service performed. I enjoy getting paid just for showing up on a regular schedule. When I was younger I used to get paid almost instantly for cutting grass or doing other work. Might take an hour versus 10 or 15 minutes for a dancer. Longer if you count time dancers talk to customers. The way I saw it, dancers show up for work and are immediately on the hook for tip out fees and other expenses they have to pay the club before they can leave if they want to keep working there. Therefore in several cases, they might not break even and start naming money until hours into their shift. Some dancers even sued clubs because a minimum wage job would have paid more. But yeah, they get paid right after the job is complete.
“I've heard stripping is better than a regular job”
Oh definitely. I thought my first shift was pretty rough (aside from the young customers who dared me to dance to slayer)
But I was in that club for eight hours and made about $320. Which broke down to $40/hour. When I had quit the previous job, I was making $11.45/hr. Sure if I kept at it, and switched to a better company, I could have been making $15 or $18 hourly instead. But that was still a huge jump for me.
I wish I could find more information on dancer quality + the economy. I’m thinking of asking some club managers/DJs soon to see what they think. (The friendlier ones of course)
I know a dancer who is gorgeous and hot. When I first saw her I was thinking why did she become a dancer. She was 21. By 21 she owned a Mustang sports model. She already paid for the car. She is 22 now.She dances only 2 week days a week. She can make huge money fi she works fulltime at club but she dont want to.She says some drunk customers are so nasty that they threw trash on stage when she was dancing. Now she got engaged. She works as bartender fulltime. She does not realize her potential. She is non extras girl.
Which job pays that much so that a girl can pay off the car payments by age 21.
I think 501traveler made a good point. The closing of a few high volume escorting sites may have provided a flow of good looking (and potential otc girls) into strip clubs.
I’ve not noticed any drop in talent or offerings with the change in President - or with the economic recovery. The offerings have been the same - and the talent level is pretty good too.

That was quite a jump to conclusions w/o even giving the clubs a chance to prove your theory right
