I noticed some people have reviewed a high number of clubs. Just wondering if people have been traveling to other states and made a vacation out of wanting to see a strip club far away from where you live. There are many great strip clubs that I have been wanting to travel to.
As much as I like clubbing, I don't go out of my way just to visit a certain strip club. All of the clubs I've been to outside of my area( Richmond, Virginia) I had some other reason or purpose for being there and I just went to one of the clubs nearby.
I went to Tijuana just to check out the club scene, but then again I was already in San Diego for business, so it wasn't too out of my way to venture down.
I wouldn't necessarily visit somewhere far just for the clubs but if it happened to be convenient I wouldn't mind traveling a bit (up to 1-2 hours) to reach somewhere.
Me and some friends recently based a vacation around visiting out of state clubs, include several down in Tijuana. I scouted them out in advance through tuscl then made plans to hit one or more each day. Some were better than expected others not so much. All in all we had a blast and plans are underway for our next SC vacation.
Have never traveled just to go to a SC but I now do take full advantage of my regular travel to visit SCs. Have hit up nearly 3 dozen clubs this year with multiple trips to those that have become favorites and have some favorite dancers across 3 states too.
Always looking forward to my next business trip now.
I travel 5 states in sales plus go to meetings for my job several times a year. I can't stand sitting around a hotel by myself. I am in a different club most every night.
When I travel for business I check out clubs. But my vacation travel is not really influenced by strip clubs, if they have them I might give them a shot. Just depends.
When I travel on business or to see sporting events I usually check out tuscl so see what is available locally. Other than possibly Tijuana, I don't think I'd ever purposely travel just for a tour of the local strip clubs.
TUSCL used to have a strip club city destination section. I don't think I would travel just to see one club (Platinum Plus in Columbia, SC) but I have traveled to cities that had multiple clubs that I was interested in (Akron/Canton, Dayton, Detroit). I have not got on a plane to travel to a strip club but I am considering it.
yep. did it for tampa (odyssey 2001 & mons), memphis (the defunct platinum plus), columbia (platinum plus & heartbreakers) south new jersey (erotic cafe-club is the size of a large trailer next to the seedy motel i stayed in that had a 24-7 porno tv channel). richilieu cityoutside of montreal (defunct grand prix club). stamford, ct (beamers).
future desired destinations: houston (3 clubs), allentown, pa (platinum plus), maybe detroit/inkster clubs, and 2 or 3 clubs in phoenix.
No, I have never planned a trip to a new area just for strip club purposes. Now I have tried to engineer the venues in which I handle certain business matters to favor areas with better clubs, but I won't go out of my way to arrange trips to unknown locales just so that I can see the strip clubs.
If I was actively trying to visit clubs in good areas, I would have long ago made it to Detroit and Houston and would never, ever, club in areas like Little Rock, Richmond and Mobile.
I sometimes visit the beach but usually end up at the same strip clubs. I'm not trying too much new. I'm familar with the location and clubs. Visiting the strip clubs is part of the reason for making the trip but not the only reason. If I wanted to try out something different I could travel to Florida or someplace I haven't visited. If I had more vacation time that wasn't threatened with being taken away or more income, I could consider it sometime. So far I have no plans to do so.
Yes. More often, I visit clubs while traveling for other reasons. It is a special break when I can schedule a SC tour, in lieu of dropping in a SC while traveling on other business.
Not really. In my 42 years of working for a major air lines, I can only think of a couple of times that I traveled some where just to visit a strip club. Right now I have a club that is offering everything that I want, right here at home. So no reason to travel. I did do a road trip last June but hitting strip clubs along the way was a secondary reason for going.
kingknight made an excellent point. Before I found TUSCL in 2000, all my visits in the previous 30+ years were hit or miss. TUSCL sure helped when picking clubs after my coming aboard.
I've not scheduled a vacation just to go clubbing, but I have definitely made work travel choices that were strongly influenced by hobby options. Houston used to be like Disneyland for club junkies and hobbiests, and I made several incredible trips there before the Escape empire crumbled and clubs started getting busted right and left. Have a trip to Dallas soon, and haven't been there in like ten years. Baby Dolls here I come!!!
I have never explicitly planned a vacation only to survey its strip clubs. But when I'm deciding on a city to take a vacation, it's one of the main considerations. Does that make sense?
I have never planned a whole vacation just to try out strip clubs, but there have been individual nights on a vacation for that purpose. I have made day trips from here in the Omaha area down to Kansas (Lawrence and Topeka areas) and over to Des Moines strictly to go to strip clubs.
As I’ve posted on various occasions – I love variety – thus the concept of visiting SCs in other cities definitely intrigues me.
SCing is definitely my favorite hobby – so yes, I would travel to other cities just to check out the SC scene. Also, since I do not travel for work, taking SC trips is a great way to change up my regular routine.
The major issue for me currently is not being able to afford SCing locally (which by living in Miami affords me a lot of local opportunities) and also afford taking SC trips.
I am also single and w/o kids – so I have the flexibility to do it when I can afford it.
I have taken trips specifically to check out the SC scene:
Went to Houston in early 2012 – H-town definitely did *not* disappoint – would recommend as a very good SC city IMO.
Atlanta in early 2011 – was disappointed per *my* tastes – found it a bit tame even though I am not big on extras – BUT, I did visit ATL prior to being a TUSCLer; so I may not have been well prepared.
No. If I had money to blow, like art, I might give it a shot, but even if strip clubs were a major reason to visit any given spot, I still doubt it would ever be the *primary* reason. There are just too many sights in this country to miss them because I went to a strip club instead.
Is threadjacking better or worse when you do it to a zombie thread? Just wondering, I'm doing it anyway.
Has anyone ever been asked, by the VIP minder, "how many stars would you give the dance you were given?" Suppose the DJ (accurately) announced each dancer's average star rating. ROB problem largely solved. A very large club like this, or many of them in a city, would likely motivate some sex tourism. But the startup costs for a club like this would be major. You'd probably have to search for prospective high-rated dancers across the country, and give them incentives to come and give your club a try. A premium dance price would probably be necessary. But a good chance dancers in such a club would be in VIP a greater percentage of the time, which might be the main motivation for them to permanently relocate to work at your club.
A big factor is the typical level of hostility between strippers and PLs. Both tend to play the other, rather than going for a win-win. A ROB-blocking club would help a lot to diminish the hostility. Dancers looking for a win-win would attract more PLs with the same attitude. Dancers could then walk away from jackhole customers and still bank, which would help them to keep a positive, look for a win-win, attitude. Clubs with a good vibe like this might encourage women on the fence about dancing to take the plunge. Potentially a virtuous cycle. Otherwise, I guess the Nordic Model people are right. Sex work is just inherently nasty, no way to fix it.
As fucked up as new England can be, the strip clubs are pretty good, so I never purposely travel for clubbing. I have never once travelled overnight anywhere for business either. having said that, whenever I travel for vacation, I strip club nearby. examples: I go to the casino in upstate NY and I found V-Jahs in Franklin NY; every golf trip or trip to visit family involves strip clubbing; during Covid I flew to Colorado to buy weed, rented a car and drove home, so I was able to stop in the only strip club open in the country at that time in Omaha. Been to Vegas 50 times so I have gone there and in New Jersey because of family and Atlantic City.
I think some clubs are close to setup to do something similar to what you're talking about.
For example, Tootsies has monitors with the rotation on them. The dance counter and room attendants keep track when the girls go in them so they don't get called on stage while they're doing dances. So, they've got a good chunk of the technology they'd need in place. They could probably make it so you pay the clubs cut on a little Kiosk on the way out, and optionally rate the dancer. They could also show those ratings on the monitors, with little colored star or something next to their names.
Announcing it on stage might be a bit much, I mean you'd kinda kill the vibe if you heard And now taking the main stage, it's Bambi! She's got a 1.5 star average dance rating this month, so make it rain fellas!" Or "Bambi's coming down, be sure to grab her for some private dances! She's got a 1 star rating, so don't wait"
To the OP's question from 2012, no, I've never traveled for the express purpose of hitting up a strip club. I've made adjustments to increase clubbing options but that's it. For example, if could travel to DC or Toronto for a business trip I might lean towards Toronto. Or when I want to go to Bass Pro, I'll sometimes go to the one that brings my travel close to Scarlett's even though its a bit further away than the one that doesn't have a nearby club.

Now I develop a local ATF and stick with her for a few years. Sounds boring. But it's ok.
Always looking forward to my next business trip now.
I'll host you and Alucard in Dayton any time you want. I could use a little "security". Can you look like Russian mobsters? :-)

Since then clubbing is just an incidental to my business travel now that I have abandoned the misery of retirement.
