That cartoon is right, Canada has gone from legalizing it to marketing it. They're even teaching about it to children. What happens when Blue Cross or Medicare will pay for assisted suicide but not long-term care or cancer therapy? That's what scares me, the left tells everyone that the "slippery slope" is bullshit, then a few years later we're a mile down that slope. It happened when gay marriage (which I supported long before Barack Obama did) gave way to hormonally and surgically mutilating children, which gave way to children dancing provocatively for the sexual gratification of adult men and legitimization of pedophiles as "minor-attracted persons."

Yet under Biden/Harris, we humiliated ourselves in Afghanistan, we're focused on trans inclusion and "equity" in the ranks of officers, and we didn't discourage Hamas or Russia like we did under Trump. If warfighting is a priority, it sure doesn't look like it. Cheney owns the biggest foreign policy error since the Cold War. Why would we listen to him?

I'm nostalgic for a "crew" when the old girls were hotter, higher mileage, or cheaper than they were before. But I can think of only a couple times in 20+ years of clubbing when I really missed one.

^ I think an amendment requires 3/4 of the states, many of whom would stand to lose from it. There's the National Popular Vote Compact, but it's of questionable legality (Constitution prohibits interstate compacts), and the only states that have agreed to it are purplish-blue to deep blue. Only way I could see it getting overturned is if there's a massive popular mobilization and I don't think enough people care. If it would work in Democrats' favor (like it might have in 2008), I doubt CJ would try to poison the well about it. The worm always turns.

I would say it's a lone loser but the way they covered up Thomas Crooks, the Secret Service fucked up so many times, scrubbed his online presence, and cremated the body so quickly has me wondering. It's known that Iran has a price on his head but they could find a trained sniper or a commando to do the job. CIA/NSA wouldn't shock me, everyone in government thought LBJ ordered the hit on JFK, but again if it was a serious attempt they'd have access to better personnel. Maybe it was some halfhearted thing so they'd have plausible deniability. It almost succeeded.
