"Now I've dropped 35+ in the last 10 months, but for the first time ever I am not focusing on the scale or the number of times at the gym."
I'm down from ~315 in December of last year to 222 this morning. Still have weight to lose, but I'm more focused on turning fat weight into muscle weight. If I were my current weight and ripped, I'd be perfectly happy. Sometime I'm going to get a DEXA scan and measure body fat % and see how that has changed. Add more weight training on top of martial arts and rucking and up protein intake.

"How arrogant are you to think that you deserve to go through life with no one ever saying anything that you do not agree or don't like?"
Tell that to the left.

^ Diet and exercise are inorganic regardless of whether you're taking Ozempic or not. By and large it's a great drug... actually shown to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events, which is huge. T2D, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, sleep apnea, and much more are getting well treated by GLP-1 drugs. Everything has side effects, these included. I tried them and got major side effects, as a lot of people do. Eventually got a sleeve gastrectomy and am down almost 100#, feeling better than ever.
I know this space pretty cold.

@skibum - "The wealthy got richer on the Democratic pump taxpayer money into the economy stupidity, not because of a tax cut."
YES! When money gets thrown into the economy, side from direct payments like a stimulus, it seems to rain down on the rich and well connected. You say anything "green" and the left stops asking questions. In the pandemic, mom and pop suffered while Amazon and Wal-Mart prospered.

Said another way, capitalism isn't evil because you suck at life.

"According to Norberg, 200 years ago, at the birth of capitalism, there were only about 60 million people in the world who were not living in extreme poverty. Today there are more than 6.5 billion people who are not living in extreme poverty. Between 1990 and 2015 alone (in Thomas Piketty’s view the devastating years in which social inequality rose so sharply), 1.25 billion people around the world escaped extreme poverty—50 million per year and 138,000 every day."

^ "“Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority (Elon Musk, Bill Gates, etc), frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”"

When traveling, plan it to a T.
At home, usually on a whim (or depending on traffic).

"because then you wind up being the one asshole who pissed on a guy's review that got published"
Who cares? If someone has a sore asshole about me rejecting their shitty review, how does it affect me?
"People on here arent professional critics or writers."
No one is asking for "professional." Just be coherent and put some effort into it.

@RonJax - we all draw the line somewhere in order to soothe our consciences. No question Gates has done a lot for HIV and malaria research, but if you're married, you better put the stripper urges on hold, or find a girl who's OK with it. As long as you're not taking advantage of people (like by drugging or raping them) it won't affect my opinion of them that much.

Were the wild accusations against Trump "stochastic terror"? Or is that just another way to paint the side you don't agree with as the only bad guy?

@RonJax - agree about the EC. Not the way I would have designed it, and I would favor ending it. But this would disenfranchise a lot of states whose approval would be needed. So I think it's a moot point.
Right now the EC is the rule of the game. Bitching about "but we won the popular vote," it doesn't matter. Nor does how or why it started. My vote in Mass doesn't count but the rules are the rules.

^ Our defense budget funds Europe's social programs. They love Democrats because they never hold them accountable.
The world was a much safer place under Trump. Tough on Iran. No Putin territorial incursions. Stood up to China. Struck peace falls throughout the Middle East. No aid to Hamas.
Democrats are the party of American weakness and decline.

^ I've never been a big Thanksgiving guy; the traditional Thanksgiving food is nothing special to me, but it sounds like you could make anyone a Thanksgiving guy.
I love Halloween. I'm going to get dressed up, walk the streets, and give out candy. It was bigger in college (with slutty everything costumes) but I still like it.
People putting up holiday decorations 3 months early is a plague on every holiday.
