I know there's a class action suit for back wages lol Anyways dancers have been fighting to be employees for years. Its not like it just happened overnight. The new status just means you're a tipped employee with a reduced minimum wage. So basically dancers are paid like the waitresses now. Its not a huge deal moneywise but offers protections independent contractors don't have. that's the huge plus.

There are too many reviews listed for clubs that are closed, even newer ones for those clubs which makes me wonder about the truthfulness of reviews in general. Really popular clubs in major cities go a few months in between new reviews. Most just seem to be determined by whether the guy found a girl who did extras or high mileage, that gets a good review, not getting that gives a bad review. It doesn't reflect on what the club or anything is really like. Google and Yelp have better reviews, even Tripadvisor

yes because the different perspectives are interesting, but there is a high number of reviews written by obvious employees and bitter tourists. both skew the reviews unfairly. I also think something should be done about removing listings for clubs that are closed. or at least not allow new reviews for them.

Its not just black girls, non white girls in general have a hard time getting hired no matter what you look like. Black clubs can be easier to work at and the money depends on a lot of factors. I danced at a small black maybe the size of a McDonalds and made like $500 a night just walking around and having money thrown at me. A lot of black girls hate it when non black girls work there though. The club would get so busy cos it was the only black club around. After it got shut down because of a few fights, the other clubs in the area all stopped playing hip hop. A lot of it had to do with racism. I've seen more fights at other clubs and no hip hop policies are meant to discourage "certain people" from dropping by. It was also the club I've worked at with the least extras and hookers.

Well, something has to be done to keep the site from dying! There are closed clubs with fake new reviews being written for them. Popular clubs in major cities with months since the newest review. The discussions being commandeered by sick old tricks. Anyways, I don't see dancer participation going up. The most I see is the attempt to turn TUSCL into another backpages but with "verified" hoes.
