Used to go to C-folds in the 90's when they had some nice curvy Texas charmers and it was a veritable boobfest. I came back in 2010 after a conference and like you today, was not impressed. The gals had attitudes, and the waitresses were beotches. It looked like it hadn't been upgraded since the 90's. Some Saudis came in and also a rapper look-alike with silver chains, and suddenly the girls would come out of their locker room and drape themselves all over them. In fact, it was the only time ever, outside of 1990's Orange County CA (notoriously snobby) where I found a decent gal and she actually refused to give a lap dance. It sounds like it's only gone further downhill.

There is a private dance area beyond the lap dance couches, curtained off. It's cash only, $200 for I think like 30 min, similar to Millstream price. That at least allows more mutual touching but don't expect anything like Mitchell Brothers Theatre in SFO.

You might find some better clubs in Richmond. Still expensive but you at least might get some college girls who are usually doing it more for fun and extra $$ and try a little more to please. If you're looking for better "career stripper" types, head straight to Baltimore. DC area is a joke.

Still way too much for hookers here compared to Germany or UAE. You can do $200-300 for a gal for an hour in Dubai (in your hotel room provided the hotel is girl-friendly), although you might not get the better Russian girls for that much anymore. A little bit better now that oil prices are down and the big spenders have faded away. Abu Dhabi is a little less but the gals have bad attitudes.

I can't vouch for 6 years ago as I've only gone there since 2014, but I'd have to say there's been a pretty big turnover the past year in dancers - two of my three favorites are gone (one out of state), and from the schedule I note the third dances 1 to 2 day shifts during the week and no weekends anymore. My favorites all were great not just with the dances but spending the time (usually I come before it goes crazy busy later in the evening). For me, it always comes down to the girls, not the bar, the food, the decor, etc.

If you come earlier on Saturday (say before 8), I've never paid cover.

This review is closest to my experiences. it's not really a lap dance club at all. The gals pay so much attention to the regulars that beyond the tipping you will likely get no other attention. Look at this as a sports bar. If you want good lap dances and mileage, head up to Baltimore. The End.

Good observations - This club tends to have the best looking but most expensive girls. Not great attitudes either. Unfortunately there are fewer clubs now in Dubai than ever. Premier is one of the few left. York (mainly African/Chinese), Rockafellas (Russian/former Soviet), Seaview/Marine's Club (mix but mostly Chinese) are among the few remaining with Cyclone and Rattlesnake long gone. You can find gals in the Marina bars/discos (especially at Grosvenor House) but they cost. Interestingly, Abu Dhabi nowadays seems to have more of these places (but lesser quality).

I've only seen Kitanna a couple times, but I agree she is lovely.

I was there in 2010 when I was there for a conference, and noticed the same thing you did in your review. Centerfolds was a much bigger deal in the '90s, much higher mileage as I remember. I think other clubs have passed it by.

Oddly, most woman DJs I’ve heard in clubs (Fantasy in Baltimore is one example) try to do an exaggerated but nasal Casey Kasem-on-crack impersonation such as referenced by the OP. I’ve heard a couple others that aren’t bad, but it can be annoying.

Gawker you hold out hope for all of us. I have to admit I’m jaded. Several clubs in a row I’ve gone to without really connecting or enjoying the company (other than Chelsea from Baltimore who remains my ATF no matter where she is dancing in the USA). Too many girls want the quick buck now, not the long game (which may or may not pay off for her).

All that said, @anon, after my own OTC experience with a 30-something gal who had been one of my two ATFs, I knew that I was being seen as a Sugar Daddy. And with few benefits in return, that ended it for me. I have no problems with being a friend to a stripper who seems to have her head fairly together, but without the sex, what’s the point?

SC’s are my answer to therapy. Too bad Nlue Cross won’t cover them. At the very least the couches are usually a much nicer experience. :) Yes, depression is real. I’ll not waste my time with those who deny its existence. Maybe they’re living in their mother’s basement in fervent denial. Or are drinking too much evangelical/Scientology kool-aid. As an aside, I don’t know a stand-up comedian whose material never came about as a result of some inadequacy or depression. (Seinfeld may be the exception, but his TV co-writer was Larry David, who has more neuroses than a small town.). Rodney Dangerfield (aka Jacob Cohen) was struggling and in debt for years before he realized that portraying himself as a loser who got no respect (in other words being himself) combined with his knack for rapid-fire one-liners, would lead to fame and fortune.

Cue ZZTop, “Pearl Necklace”. Not all the younger gals know what one is. :)

Discretion is the best thing. Always easier when you are in a different city not hanging around with friends or coworkers in the same hotel. :) As for age, I’m in my late 50s and the SC girls who seem most attracted to me are in their early 30s, The only ones I’m generally able to go young (i.e. early 20s) with tend to be escorts/hookers/courtesans/ho’s.

And Dirk thanks for the original post. I think most guys (who actually go to clubs) can see themselves in your shoes.

Jack slash, they should send you 3...... FWIW, the day after Xmas (especially if it falls on a weekend) is usually a great day to go - lots of gals needing some money but not many custies. It was actually when I met one of my ATFs (who introduced me later to my other) as well as a longtime “runner up”.

Sir Lap, you do have a good thing going. OTC has its own risks as I learned with the ATF who essentially gave away too much personal info, basically wanted a sugar daddy and didn’t want to put out in the manner I expected. My other ATF is strictly ITC and moved to another city so I see her when I go down there. Interestingly the second introduced me to the first at my old favorite club, and in those good old days we would do occasional threesomes in VIP, and they’d be hanging with me for dinner. There were always one or two backups which helped when both of my ATFs moved on. Lately, I just haven’t gone to clubs enough during the non-peak hours (when I met both my current/former ATFs) to cultivate new company. One thing that usually leads to CF status with me is spending time together in the club, whether just engaging me in conversation while being sexy but not rushing me into a room or to the couch (especially when things are slow), or sharing some dinner (as my former favorite club is actually known for decent food / drinks). The relaxed vibe works both ways and allows verbal/non-verbal communication to develop when she agrees to assuming various compromising positions atop my lap. What I’ve realized now is getting to that relaxed vibe is getting tough. Most younger (under 25) dancers in a less busy bar nowadays would rather sit and play with their smartphones than engage with a real human. I cannot imagine, unlike 3-4 years ago, going to a club at 4 pm on a Saturday and attracting/making a new, attractive semi-dressed friend just by sitting at the bar and providing tips to the worthy dancers.

Dancer drinks are in some cases an income source for the dancer, so it may be annoying but it may also be integral to the clubs’ business model. The other thing about VIP upselling is that an increasing number of clubs where VIP is the only place you can get two-way contact.

I’ve made one visit to Rhino in Vegas (in 2015 before I started posting reviews on TUSCL) and the whole SC set up there seems to be a giant tourist clusterfuck. Even with the free limo ride from the hotel. I have no idea how it compares to Sapphire (or even if that is still there), but I was not that impressed by the quality or quantity of gals. Seemed to be a lot more PL’s than dancers on a midweek visit. VIP and drinks were a ripoff, and I have found more attractive gals dancing on the East Coast than I did that night, which may be the ultimate insult to a Vegas club. As for the OP, I hope she has found a much better environment and life experience in Texas and in her future endeavors.
