Upscale in the middle of nowhere
I paid a late night visit (after 10:30 last night, a Saturday), mainly because I received a tip earlier that night that one of my ATF's from the Millstream was here as were a few other gals from there. I'll focus on my impressions of the club itself and the other dancers, for everyone else's benefit. If it weren't for my successful reconnection with a dancer I hadn't seen for several months (who looked even hotter in this admittedly more upscale-looking environment), I might have had a more mixed impression.
The club is on a street in a scruffy neighborhood called Curtis Bay. I guess it's a little easier to get to from Glen Burnie as opposed to 695. Looking like a brightly remodeled warehouse (which it may well be), and with a brick wall surrounding a well-lit parking lot, it looks like it could be a Texas strip club except there were no limos or verandas in front like is typical in places like Houston. The first bad news was the $10 cover on Saturday night complete with security desk, equipped with some kind of laser scanner / photo thingie. A lot more Vegas-y than I'm used to on the East Coast. In fact, the club gives me the impression of being a Spearmint Rhino-wannabe, from the immaculate video screens and decor to the private areas (more later). Not quite the size of the Vegas (or even Houston) clubs, but one of the larger places I've seen in the East. Definitely going for the Scores audience here.
The bar is a giant rectangle in the center of the room, and is very broad, the intention being dancers can do the "tip walk" or "tip crawl" (the latter more common) on top. The bartenders are very charming and attractive, but seem a mile away across that expanse of aluminum. A lot of people eating happily, so I assume the food is good (or good enough). In the middle of the bar, on its own elevated island, is a long stage with two poles. Two dancers at a time, and they go full nude (though some take more off than others). But from some areas of the bar, you need binoculars to see the action and the merchandise. Not quite the intimate "in your face" experience you get at the Millstream stage which has been one of the things that has endeared me to that place. Overall impression is of a glitzy, airy, sports bar with girls. There are a few people with missing teeth and flannel shirts that might have come from the old clientele as opposed to the polo shirted jock audience that was mainly here. Given they televise a lot of UFC (heavily advertised) and have heavy promotions for Penthouse Pets and porn stats who visit and dance here, the more upscale audience should not be unexpected.
