Will strip clubs reopen but have a shortage of strippers?
It will be really interesting to see what happens here. In CA, where the strippers are all employees anyway, their thinking may be different from where they are independent What I do DEFINITELY expect is that all these girls will overwhelming SA. In fact, they are already doing so, but I think they're learning quickly that no one is meeting during this time, and very few of the men are interested in paying for pics or videos, so there's no real money to be made. Once the lockdown is lifted, though, I wonder if a stripper might think, "I'll collect my unemployment benefits, plus handpick one or three SDs for side money, and skate through the next year". Of course, that brings about its own issues -- it's likely SB allowances are going to fall a whole lot, and a zillion strippers joining will drive it even lower

hunny's an SRCOI girl? Is that hottie central down there? When SR San Jose opened up, they imported a bunch of SR girls from all over to jumpstart the club, for the first month. And every girl from SRCOI was smokin'.

A flag button works when the majority of posters are quality posters, and there's a few trolls and idiots running around. At tuscl, the majority of posters are trolls and idiots, and there's a few quality posters running around. I cannot imagine the flagpocalypse that would result if there were a flag button. Would any comments ever NOT get flagged???

Definitely not even considering it right now. I may take a calculated risk at some point down the line, only with my SB who is sheltered in place with her parents and sisters, which means I at least have some knowledge that she's not breaking the SIP rules (as opposed to living with other strippers and who knows what the situation is). Even then, I might not take a risk, and probably wouldn't even consider it until May if the numbers are going down. I am jonesing to see her though, man. An interesting thing to note: I have a lot of strippers on my fake social media. At the beginning of this, they were making light of it. Now they are -- at least on social media -- not merely all following the rules, but constantly lecturing others to do the same, often in a superior and exasperated tone. "just stay home" seems to have become a new high status virtue signal.

Porn: What is your opinion on Riley Reid?
shadow: I totally get that as far as "type of performance". Like you, I'm attracted to her physically, she is definitely my body type and I love her face (at least with make up on, thanks for fucking up my fantasy misterorange lol!) I've only seen her in fetish video clips, and there, her girl-next-door affect along with her taking or administering all kinds of kinky punishment, is so incongruous that for me it's a crazy turn-on. As stated earlier, in person at a strip club, I was just smitten

For as much of a disaster as employee status has been for strippers in CA, this may be the silver lining -- there may be fewer of them, and their income may have gone down substantially, but they're officially employees. For strippers who are officially contractors (that is, most strippers in most other states), does unemployment and/or covid19 benefits depend on their tax filings?

ha ha just fucking with you ski. In all honesty,, I look at her pics on the internet, and none do justice to how she looked in person, unfortunately. Hell, none even do justice to how good she looks in the video clips I've seen of her

Yep, one of the things I like about her -- instead of the typical porn caricature face and body, a lot more "real girl" (only way hotter)

Porn: What is your opinion on Riley Reid?
Believe it or don't, I don't watch a whole lot of mainstream porn, and have never seen her in a porn (beyond some fetish clips) so have no idea what she looks like. I have seen her when she was live at Crazy Horse in SF. I will say that she was the cutest, sexiest porn feature I have EVER seen. When she's a foot away and flashes that smile it melts me. And I HATE porn feature performers at strip clubs (the only time I see features is when I go to the club not realizing there's a feature), but she's now my one exception. I will say that the few clips I've seen her in, she looked much hotter in person than in the videos I've seen; and on video, you don't get that sexy "it factor" vibe that comes off in person So this is pretty much the only time you'll ever see me gush about a porn star. I'm otherwise meh on all of them

ROI on supporting favorites thru these hard times
I think the usual expectations stay the same: strippers don't often think long-term, they may well completely ignore the fact that you helped them once this is past, etc. All of that said, if you WERE ever going to take a risk and see if it would pay off, now is the time. I wouldn't do it with some random stripper, but if you have a CF or ATF you're tight with, I don't think it will take very much $ to get a lot of return appreciation ... and if you're already a bonded CF/PL pair, maybe she WILL remember and reward you. I texted my SB -- who is now not working and worried, he's also not getting any $ from me since we're not meeting -- last night, she was ordering herself something on AMazon. . I asked her how much it cost, she told me $30. I Cashapp'ed her $30 without tell her. She seemed over the moon, sent me a bunch of nudie pics, etc. Now frankly, I can get nudie pics anywhere so no big deal, though it was nice to get them from her. But I have a feeling a few dollars here and there is going to get me some outsized appreciation once we do start meeting again, and if not, hey, even if I keep buying her random things here and there, ultimately it's not all that much money anyway. I do think things will be so bad that you can probably expect extra good treatment anyway, once everything returns. But like I said, if there ever was a time to take a risk that some modest $ gifts will blossom into big appreciation, now's that time

People are going broke over this
Can you imagine the level of panic if there was no lockdown, scores of thousands dead, hospitals overrun and overflowing along with commensurate fewer healthcare workers as they run out of protective masks, etc., due to the far higher and sooner peak? It was never going to be the case that, without a lockdown, things would be better -- they'd be far worse. But leadership does need to be driving hard and setting targets to end this, rather than just progressively reacting.

" Same goes for anyone else who thinks that shutting down the economy for months is a good idea." I don't think this is sustainable for months -- 6.6 million new unemployment claims isn't sustainable either. The (very necessary and appropriate) lockdown should be a radical measure that is used as a temporary measure as we drive towards data-driven decisions around re-opening. By now, I was hoping we'd have widespread testing in place, a ton of data from that testing, private industry focused on safety equipment for healthcare providers (where relevant), etc.

Paul, that's not what that article says. For example, "This is not to say that there are not good reasons to use mitigations as a delay tactic. For example, we may hope to use the months we buy with containment measures to improve hospital capacity, in the hopes of achieving a reduction in the mortality rate." In fact, flattening the curve -- which the authors agree happens -- is exactly what's been cited here, over and over and over again, that's not something anyone should be confused about. The authors, and the expert epidemiologists doing the advising, all agree -- these short term mitigations exactly have kept the hospitals from being run, and the data confirming that it's reduced the mortality rate is coming in. The authors point that the models should extend past the mitigations is well-taken; but the basic reasoning behind flattening the curve appears well-justified. Moreover, with no fewer than 6 drugs in trial, there's at least some hope that when the mitigations are lifted, we'll have other strategy. If "the sooner it ends the better for society", you misunderstood the article -- they are not claiming lifting the mitigations immediately is the right answer, they are not claiming letting hospitals get overrun is the right answer, they are calling for more transparency in the models, which is reasonable.
