They never tell you what you need to know.
My feeling is that college is a waste of time and money, unless you are studying for a profession that requires a license. I have a Bachelor's. But it really hasn't helped much. Do you really need a 4 year degree, and the resultant crushing debt, to sell cars or office furniture? I think not.

Yikes. $400 for 20 minutes in VIP seems awfully steep. I realize things are just opening back up in WV, but 2 dancers just seems depressing to me. Were there any customers?

Thanks for posting. Do you need pesos or is US currency preferred?

I'm with Rick D on this one. Go to a BYOB club and bring only water. That's my MO generally.

Made the trek out to Mitzi's last Saturday night (3/27). I even checked their FB page prior to departing. I get there around 9:30 and it's pitch black out. No lights anywhere; inside or outside. The only sign of life was two police cars in the back of the lot behind the building also with their lights out. The sign on the door said "closed due to family emergency, will reopen 3/25". Clearly that date came and went. Oh well. It does look like they are back to the old schedule of staying open until 5:00 a.m., for those, unlike me, who can stay up that late...lol. Not certain what days they're open.

If you're not averse to driving a bit, Mitzi's in Funkstwon, MD (near Hagerstown) is open. The negative to me was the smoke inside. Other than that I would say it's worth the drive, especially given the dearth of choices at the moment. It's about an hour from Silver Spring via 495, 270 and 70.

I don't have kids. I have a liberal arts degree and a succession of OK-paying but no benefit jobs. My personal feeling is that unless you are studying for something that needs a license like nursing, architecture or engineering, college is a waste of time and money. Especially if you're going for a bachelor's degree. Do you really need a bachelor's degree, and the resultant debt, for a job in sales or customer service for instance? I think not.

Can you explain the being buzzed in thing? I have experienced that not only at strip clubs in WV, but also at some restaurants as well. Not living in The Mountain State I have always wondered what that was about?

@papi Given its location, in the vicinity of two police stations, I would be surprised if they're operating under the radar. But who knows? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Roughly 20 minutes for the 2 I regularly visit. Or should I say "used to visit" since neither has been open for almost exactly a year now.

A little less than an hour North up I-81 from Winchester is Mitzi's in Funkstown, MD (near Hagerstown). It's the best of the current COVID-19 limited options. That's if you don't mind the cigarette smoke. Best wishes. Please post a follow up.

Once. And it was rather innocuous IMO. It was Good Guys, which is in the Georgetown area of Washington DC. I was wearing a baseball cap (not backwards mind you). Apparently this was apparently verboten. I say apparently because there were no visible dress code signs. Since parking in that part of DC is next to impossible, I was several blocks away. I was not inclined to make the round trip to the car to deposit the cap and then return. 25+ years later and still haven't been to Good Guys. I hold a grudge :)

What do you get for your $200 entry fee? Anything? That seems outrageous for Springfield Virginia. But what do I know. I'm on the other side of the Potomac and generally only venture to Crystal City.

I know it's all street parking nearby. Or you hoof it to & from the garages with the high rises across Route 1. Is the current weekday parking situation any easier due to so many people working from home? I would think it might be slightly easier to find weekday, on street parking.

Kudos to the bartender for returning your money. Never been there on a weekday afternoon. What's the parking situation like?

Nice review. Haven't been there since the VIP rooms were added. Do you or the dancer get any input as to which VIP room you get assigned to? Your description of the third room sounds dreadful.

@papi - Showcase & Sinsaysionals as well as the rest of the clubs in Prince George's County AFAIK are still shuttered. I'm 6' 8". Didn't inquire about a topless option. But I would assume it is available. I'm not much of a negotiator in these situations, so it did not and would not even occur to me ask.
@misterorange - Thanks for the kind words. I'm in the camp of not naming names unless it was a ROB experience. It's not April O'Neil.
I had to look that one up. That's funny.

I was tossed from the private dance area at a club in WV for violating the no touching rule. She can grind on you, but you have to basically sit on your hands. Each individual room had a camera. I felt like the dancer and the camera monitor guy (who looked to be all of about 18 IMO) were in cahoots and he got a portion of the extra amount I paid her to get to be "handsy" with her.

This past Sunday I took one for the team...or at least for the three people on this board who care about this topic...lol. I drove about 45 minutes from Morgan County where I was staying to do some sleuthing. Here are my findings from the Bunker Hill side of Berkeley County. Vixens is closed. I was expecting some sort of smart-alecky message on their sign. Alas it said simply Closed Due to COVID-19. Elysium generally may not be open on Sundays (I'm uncertain of this). But they appeared to possibly be open currently. There were a couple of large rolling trash bins out front that appeared to be full. Also I found a different FB page for them which mentioned reopening on June 5 to 50% capacity. Maybe they are able to open due to being a BYOB establishment? I tried calling on Friday night but got voice mail and no return call. Foxy Lady which is listed on this site as Out Of Business and at a different address is actually on Winchester Ave./Route 11, with a sign outside, but appears to possibly be undergoing some renovations. There was evidence of construction work going on in the building. Foxy Lady has an active website which is curious if the club is truly out of business. As for the Martinsburg side of the county I heard through the grapevine that Lust is closed at least through the end of July. I got no intel on Taboo, but am presuming since it has common ownership with Vixens that it is closed for the time being as well. That's all for now. Peace, Ollie.
