Too many onions at Landing Strip so went to FC
Kennedy from PHC - There's a name from the past. Seem to recall her having a southern accent and believe is from Texas. She was pretty. My VIP trips with her at PHC were nice.

Just now seeing some of these other comments and sent a few of you guys PMs with some specifics on the Florida trio I encountered my Tuesday and Wednesday night visits. Have seen one other review since mine that seemed positive so that is good.

Man on man....could almost do a second review on my Wednesday night adventures but think have discovered Flight Club has a clique of dancers right now from Florida who are throwing out the crazy VIP prices, along with perhaps some not so genuine things they are attempting to pull.

Good point Electronman but think that is kind of stating the obvious. On this visit I did take my money elsewhere (e.g. back to my hotel with me), but I don't expect there to be a bulletin put up for all the girls to read that next time I visit to either come down to a more reasonable price or I walk - lol. If a dancer wants to throw out a crazy price with the goal of 1-2 VIPs a night vs. more reasonable prices but 4-5 VIPs then that is their choice to make. That said get your point, and over time if enough customers share similar thoughts guess it could make an impact but I would suspect it would be gradual and take time.

Good point wildRover about it being early in the evening perhaps being a factor. And lol on your desertscrub comment - Literally ended my review by naming a competing club was thinking about visiting next time instead of Flight Club. Have no problem with an unreasonable quote, but guess not being able to wiggle it down into the $300's or even to $400 threw me off (which for the dancer I tipped on stage would have probably caved and done).

Thanks sdraif. That was the range I was familiar with +/- $100 or so on the full option. In 2019 was doing $200 full dances - multiple trips per evening - with who think there would be little disagreement was one of if not the hottest girl in the club but think was getting lucky there. Here in 2021 would be fine if dance prices have crept a bit higher for a number of reasons, but just couldn't pull the trigger when stuck in the $500 range.

You could be right. When talking with each of the dancers made a comment about being a frequent club visitor pre-Covid and how was reminiscing with the bouncers hoping that would eliminate any new guy thoughts for the dancers, but in the course of talking did mention am from out of state and it had been a while since my last visit so maybe that didn't help. Reflecting more on my Tuesday night visit am thinking just happened to talk to 2 girls who were in the crazy high price range, got rattled, and bailed before giving any other dancers a chance (even though only 1 other caught my attention and overall the selection wasn't high; which is to be expected I guess for a Tuesday night), I'm fine inching my $200ish VIP expectations up into the $300-$400ish range if that is truly going to be the going rate, but maybe will be able to better come to grips with it after experience a few more negotiations that end at that level. Think I'm going to give it another whirl here Wednesday night. :)

"I came by Uber, which allows you to avoid the valet parking fee." But there is fee for using Uber - Correct? Also sorta laughed after speding a total of $320 in VIP how you make it a point of using the upstairs bathroom in order to avoid a $1 fee to a bathroom troll.

"Chaotic scene with everyone trying to get out. Got out in the nick of time, but not cool." Wallanon, the comment above was in regards to getting out of VIP in the nick of time before the vice were present. Not exactly sure what you were thinking or imagining, but if you thought that meant people running out of the club then all I can really say is LOL.

Funny club story from Monday night? I have one - was in Detroit in VIP last night when vice entered the building. Chaotic scene with everyone trying to get out. Got out in the nick of time, but not cool.

    New Blood in Detroit?
Heading up to Detroit next Monday for the week. Haven't been to Penthouse since the shutdown but think I just might be intrigued enough to stop by. Between Flight Club and Coliseum and able to stay plenty busy for a four days while in town. Hoping for a good time coming up.

@Waffle - Curious who in this thread you were chiding and telling to chill? Thanks for the info confirming there was an auto accident which is unfortunate to hear, but the rest of your commentary was a bit peculiar.

Will be interest to see if anyone has anything more to add on this. Hopefully no issues with the club, and if it was a crash everyone is alright. I do know pulling out of Flight Club, Penthouse, and Coliseum can be kind of interesting sometimes because you are pulling out right onto what can sometimes be very busy roads in the afternoon or evening (Michigan Ave and 8 Mile which I believe are 4-5 lanes each direction) and sometimes when pulling out people (myself included) will try and immediately get over to the far left hand lane in order to do the first available U-turn to head the other direction. Although if this was 1:30 am then this may have not been a factor.

Heading to Detroit next week for 5 days and plan on hitting Flight Club and Coliseum numerous times. Soooo many good time at Penthouse Club the past few years so perhaps I'll pop in for a courtesy visit, but there is a very good chance I won't even bother.

    Dress codes
I'm fine with dress codes. As a middle-aged business man who dresses as such when visiting a club, am completely fine with a dress code keeping away certain elements. These are the types of clubs I personally visit, but that's just me.

The Red Zone: Inside Detroit's deadly gang wars
Was going to respond earlier with exactly what Uprightcitizen said above. As an out of state visitor have never felt unsafe on 8 Mile getting back and forth between Penthouse Club and Coliseum - day or night. And once you pull into the clubs feel totally safe with the valet and being inside the clubs. Driving up and down 8 Mile glancing down the side streets is a bit interesting, but as long as you stick to going from point A to point B will be completely fine. Unless towards the very end of 8 Mile near Livonia I would never stop for gas - day or night. Did make a wrong turn one time trying to get from Coliseum to Flight Club and my GPS got me on some side streets and off the main roads which felt a bit dicey for a couple of miles. But that's any city. Overall have never felt unsafe clubbing in Detroit at the 8 Mile clubs - day or night. My biggest fear by far with the 8 Mile clubs is getting caught up in a raid with the heavy scrutiny they have been under. That said, can't wait until my next trip up!

What is the most number of clubs you've visited in one day?
2....and I consider it a failure when I have to visit a second club because it means the first club I went to wasn't happening for me that night.

As someone who visited Penthouse one time a day after a raid, and someone who in general has a “what are the odds....” attitude when it comes to getting caught in VIP during a raid, it would take some pretty big balls for me right now to visit Players and Coliseum’s VIPs. That’s just me.

There’s a reason the new club Truth near Players and Coliseum has no private VIP per a report.

It seems though the clubs have been without the private VIPs for years now....except for a select few: Penthouse, Coliseum, Legends, and Players. And of this group Legends and Penthouse no longer have. Players has the beads which reportedly in another thread will be coming down and Coliseum, who I’m willing to bet at any moment we’ll hear removed their curtains. In other words, business as usual is no private VIPs - not the other way around. Regarding bribes - if there was any club that could pull that off it would be Penthouse, but that is no longer the case as we know. Would love to read reports here soon of Penthouse and others adding back private VIPs. Otherwise, no private VIPs this is the new business as normal in Detroit.

"In my opinion, I see this as a phase. It’s happened before where Detroit politicians play all tough and things change for a while. But then it goes back to business as usual." I've read this phrase now for the last 3-4 years in regards to the clubs getting raided and things dying down which is one thing. We are now talking about virtually all of the clubs now having no private VIP areas including just now the mighty Penthouse Club. Here is my question: When is the last time a Detroit club was forced to remove their private VIP curtains....only to have put them back up? Can't think of any examples I've read these last handful of years now. To the original poster: As a periodic out of state visitor to Detroit clubs I would steer clear of anything in Detroit. The only clubs I have ever visited are Penthouse, Coliseum, and Flight Club which is outside of Detroit. Next time in town I will only be visiting Flight Club, and may think of branching out to perhaps try BT's Dearborn, Cricket, or Landing Strip.

Yeah, I don’t know. For the last 3-4 years now all we’ve read is about this club and that club no longer having private VIP areas so not following how this is related to an upcoming auto show or a recent news story. The removal of private VIPs has been a 3-4 year trend, and now the once thought of immune Penthouse club has had to succumb. Would love to think the removal of Penthouses’ curtains is a temporary hiccup, but it’s been a trend taking place in the city for years now. Interested to hear what Penthouse is like right now. Also interested in reports from Coliseum and the recently open club Truth - does Truth have curtains.
