Agree with @funonthaside - Unless they changed the setup within the last month, there is no separate VIP area. Once you pay the $20 fee you are accessing the VIP area. Different dancers have their preferred location. So your dances could be in the front of the building or on either side of the bar in the back.

@plandry - not really all that sketchy of a neighborhood.
@aleccorbett - I have encountered the black tape over the years. It's usually one or two dancers.
@manuellabore - They used to play a siren sound effect in between each song. I miss that since I'm unable to decipher when one song ends and the next one begins.

Agree that standing in there on a busy night is not great. Also agree with the comments on keeping track of songs and the potential for price gouging. It does happen. It seems more likely to happen if you are a non-Spanish speaker.

I have not previously encountered $7 parking on a Sunday. The couple of recent Sundays I've been there it was $10 to park in the church lot.

I'm sure many strippers would also say that the biggest negative is "length of dongs"...har har. Sorry I couldn't pass that up.

Agree with the above comment about the stage-side dances. If Dancer #3 didn't get nude then I think you overpaid at $80 for 2 songs. This scenario is not uncommon among the Latina dancers, unfortunately. Hopefully that was a typo and you were only out $60.

FWIW, on a recent visit my Bud Light was now $7.

I'm fine. I'm disgusted with my life and myself, but I'm not unhappy about that.
It appears as though the club has reopened, possibly under the Mustangs name. There is an active IG account at https://www.instagram.com/mustangs_gentlemens_club/.

If this reviewer actually paid a $40 cover, I think he got ripped off. I have been there twice recently and paid $30 cover both times. A $40 cover is a bridge too far at this place.

Way to work "portends" into a review. That's a first for these eyes :)

@pussylicker2...Babe Ruth's father's tavern in Baltimore now houses a strip club called Goddess.

^@MrEddyG - Angels is a weird place in general. And the problem with saying "no thanks" at that point is the dances are pre-paid at the bar IIRC. So bailing at that point you would be out your $120 with not even an air dance to show for it. I ran into this exact scenario at the long-closed JB's on the other end of town. Good for the reviewer for negotiating the tip request downward.

Ditto IfIGottaBeDamned. There are also a Holiday Inn and a decent Days Inn within about a 2-3 block walk of The Goddess in Baltimore. I have walked to The Goddess from both, although not in several years. Not certain about walkable hotels to Baltimore's Block.

I listen to a broad swath of music. Through my clubbing I have become acquainted with Marilyn Manson and Cardi B. One of my faves dances under the name of Marilyn. Her sets usually include a Marilyn Manson song and I have become a fan of his music through her. At least a fan of his bizarro cover song choices like "You're So Vain", Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This" and "Tainted Love".

They never tell you what you need to know.
Morocco or Tunisia just to say I've been to the African Continent. It looks somewhat feasible from Sicily, if I were to ever return to Italy. But it's unlikely to ever happen.

Haven't been there since they reopened. Are the $40 dances in the aptly-described "not-very-private-but-dark area near the dressing room" still no touching the boobies?

Not quite sure if Lil Vegas in Monongah/Fairmont WV counts. I'll defer to Sinclair on this, since he has been there. It is the most rural club I've ever hit. It is definitely a locals place. By happenstance I was wearing one of my Harley t-shirts that night, so I fit right right in...lol.

Spot on review. "if you're the type that bores easily, be warned this may not be the best spot for you" , I had to laugh because it's so true. Phones are allowed inside now, which can offset the boredom. There is a security person. However, he remains largely in the vestibule patting down patrons as they enter. I wonder if the white guy doing hookah on my visit was the same one you encountered?

I've heard about the wristbands. In my visits over the years I have not seen them being used. That seems like an interesting way by the club of handling the fee. The club loses out a bit if the dancer is really popular and makes multiple trips during the course of an evening.

I had a GF years ago whom I thought would have been a good candidate. She had a rocking body and was a light-skinned AA in a heavily AA area. And she was always short on cash, despite her waitressing job. I never mentioned it. Although she was very comfortable with her body I feel reasonably certain she would not have taken the suggestion well and would likely have ended our relationship on the spot.

@Papi - Thanks for the kind words. The Body Shop is a different club. Yes, 2-way contact is allowed on the wall dances. Agree w/ you on the $$ for dances. This seems to be about the going rate, at least for this part of the county. I have no experience w/ the inside the Beltway clubs, so I can't speak to the pricing at those clubs.
