A Pretty Decent Saturday Night At EI
I have now been to Ebony Inn about 3 times in the past couple of months. It had been on my list for a while. But I was a little bit reluctant to go. However, a dancer from Sinsaysionals let me know she would be there, so I took the plunge. Each visit was late Saturday or early Sunday. I find it a bit humorous that you park in a reasonably well-lighted church parking lot across the street. It’s $10 to park. I guess the church is monetizing the sins of the flesh…lol. Be careful crossing the street to get to the club as some drivers think Sheriff Rd is a racetrack. While there is some parking in the rear of the club, I have been counseled to avoid parking there. EI is predominately an AA club (most of the patrons and all the dancers). I’m not AA. So, I stick out a little bit. But the only time I really felt uncomfortable was when one of the dancers would not leave me alone. She was very aggressive. I’m not. She eventually moved on. And on my recent trip a couple of the staff remembered me and said they would keep her away from me.
The setup is as others have described. You pay the cover as you enter. $20 is the nighttime cover charge. Daytime cover is $16. You get frisked by the security people. This is the only club I’ve been to that has a coed security staff (shout out to Pebbles). If you have a phone, you have to check it at the bar. My advice is to leave your phone in your vehicle. The entry point is the bar area. $6.00 for a Bud Light bottle, which they pour out into a cup. You can order food too. I have not tried any of the food. To the rear of the bar are the rest rooms (no troll). Be careful back there if you are tall. There is a low-hanging heater directly on top of the sink. The sink is outside so it used by both the guys and the ladies. The men’s room is not bad, relatively, in comparison to other PG clubs I’ve visited. There is a coin-operated pool table in the middle of the bar area. It is nearly always being used. The bar area is always active. This was especially true on my most recent visit since there was a fight on TV. More people were in the bar area than were in the club.
The dancers are a mix of body types from rail-thin to Rubenesque. And there is a mix of skin tones too. You should be able to find something you like. The main room is to the left of the bar area. To a newcomer, the setup in the main room can be confusing. Just inside the door on the right are some restaurant-style booths which fill up quickly. You can just sit there and watch the passing scene. There are comfy chairs along the far right wall. These are $20 to sit in. Closer to the stage, directly in front of the row of comfy chairs, are some small round tables which accommodate 2 or 3 metal chairs with padded seats. You don’t have to pay to sit in these chairs. Across the stage on the opposite wall are some barstools or you can stand. As you move along that wall it opens out into an area with more of the metal chairs. Behind that wall is the VIP room.
