Fat bastard that can afford to fuck hot strippers
Burlesque shares a bit of the entertainment Venn diagram with strip clubs, but is really a separate thing. To start, they tend not to be interactive, and usually the nudity is limited to thongs + pasties. That said, the performances can be quite entertaining. If you like goofy singing, dancing, or skits with some disrobing along the way, they are good time. Some (like those in Vegas) tend to also include circus arts (acrobatics, etc). And some do have quite attractive people doing the disrobing.
I haven't seen the linked show, but the Boom Boom Room in St. Louis has had Star Wars or otherwise geek-themed shows in the past. I've been to a dinner show there. They pushed the drinks hard. The food was fine. The show was entertaining, with dancing, hoop/lyra work, some silk climbing stuff, and of course the shaking of pastie-covered boobs. Physically the women ranged from "average off the street" to "would love to see in a strip club". They have different shows over time, and I think their cast varies a bit.
The Zombie Burlesque show in Las Vegas was an elaborate production. Talented singing and dancing, good makeup and effects, etc.. The performers, mostly but not entirely women, were very attractive. At least some of the nipples were free. They handed out Jello shots near the end. This was a fun show. I haven't been in years, so it might have changed.
More recently, I saw Rouge, also in Las Vegas. This one had more dancing, a little less of the circus/variety acts, and a more casual story line than the Zombie show. The people were all beautiful. Some danced out in the crowd a bit for a close up view. Rouge was good, and I enjoyed it, but it didn't grab me and I probably wouldn't go back.

In midtown, Rick's Cabaret is a nice place with attractive dancers, but, in my experience, not great dances. They have a lunch special if you want to eat a decent burger while looking at boobs.
Next door to Rick's is Hoops. It's more sports-bar and less fancy, but not at all sketchy. The dancers have been attractive, if perhaps a step down from Rick's or Flashdancers. I've had good luck with $20/song hands-on, decent-grind dances at Hoops.
Both places have very expensive VIP (like everywhere in Manhattan). I've been offered the moon at Hoops.

Yes, $20/song based on my visit a few days ago.

FWIW, I found a pretty decent middle-tier hands-on dance for $20/song next door at Hoops.

I recommend Palomino. There are frequently couples there, and you can reserve a table package for the two of you without a completely outrageous cost. The stage show is the best in town and drinks are cheaper than elsewhere. I've found the dancers quite friendly and am certain there would be some to entertain both you and your wife.
One downside of Palomino is that they don't really do individual/floor dances any more. The lowest cost to try things out is a 3/$100, but that's in a private booth. They have 15 min/$150 and up from there. Unlike other Vegas clubs, there's no drink requirement on top of that (though there is if you go for one of the hour-long fantasy rooms).
Palomino isn't glitzy. If you want something fancier, I've had decent luck at Treasures. They have a dinner package with pretty good food. Sapphire and Rhino would probably be similar. I haven't seen a lot of couples at those places, but I've been there less often than Palomino so it might be a selection effect.

Ah, that's right. I forgot the dancer mentioned that being one of the differences between the $150 VIP "area" and the $200 "room". With the latter she told the DJ and was taken out of rotation.

@Rod8432 -- Fortunately for me, I like a really effective grind without explicit extras just fine. I've had a hard time getting a decent "just dance" at some of the extras-heavy clubs.
@Mr Monger -- That depends on what you mean by nudity. Certainly in $25/song dances and on stage, pasties are generally in use, so I suppose not strictly nude. However for many dancers the "pasties" were barely visible skin-toned bandaids on just their nipple, not even covering the areola. And some of the dancers ignored the pastie requirement, so they were completely topless.
For my VIP dance, the dancer was happy to remove her pasties. She also removed her other layers, so she was left just wearing a tiny g-string. There was lots of skin. Not technically full-nude, but very close.

@mogul1985 The dancers' English skills varied considerably. One could barely speak English at all, one spoke fluently, and the others were somewhere in between. Most of the conversations were "Where are you from" and then fairly quickly "Do you want to spend some time with me" or some variant. The ones with middling English didn't stick around long enough for me to test the extent of their ability, but for that part of the conversation at least they seemed fine.

I found the Red Light District interesting, though I've had more sexy fun at strip clubs in the US. Like Moulin Rouge, the entire district was sort of a spectacle to witness, but not something I'd make a specific trip for.
The RLD was mostly one long street on both sides of a narrow canal, with some side streets going through the blocks. At night it was packed with tourists. Rivers of people wandered up and down, mostly men but plenty of women and couples as well. Most seemed to be gawkers, but the various venues (Moulin Rouge, Casa Rosso, the bars) all had significant traffic. If there's an effort to reduce it's popularity, it's not very effective, though I suppose maybe the district was wider before. The street is certainly still getting a lot of foot traffic.
Most of the businesses were sex related, including the theaters, the peep shows, and a couple of strip clubs. They also had some sort of prostitution museum, an erotica museum, a number of stores selling sex toys and such, etc.. There were a handful of "regular" bars. Just outside the RLD was a stretch of road with lots of casual food places that were open very late. Exiting by a different street led to a church where one night a musical group sang about Jesus.
Most of the women in windows were in the side streets, though there were some right on the main road. It must have been strange for them to stand in essentially a phone booth while hundreds of men walked by glancing or staring at them. Many of the women smiled, some waved or would crack their door open to say something to get your attention. Many just sat on their chairs reading their phones or looked out at the crowd going by.
I was a bit surprised at how fit most of them were. They varied from thin and petite to tall and long-legged to curvy, but none of them would have been out of place in a strip club or similar venue. Many were quite pretty. Most had fairly heavy makeup. Many had boob jobs.
From conversations I walked past, it sounded like the going rate was 100E for bj and sex. Given the circumstances I suspect it would be fairly business like, but I can't comment from personal experience. At the very least, there were lots of options and there would be no need to be circumspect in negotiations; no "menu" or "extras" or other euphemisms required, etc.. It was a very different environment from anywhere in the States for sure.
If I'm ever back in Amsterdam, I'll definitely go wander the RLD again and maybe check out one or two more venues. It was entertaining, though not as wild as I expected.

Please note the prices I gave should have said Euro, not $. With the current exchange rate, the dollar amounts would be maybe ten percent higher.

Lap dances at Blaze are $5/song. On my visits the dancers expected to be paid at the end, not up front. None asked me for a count or a payment in advance.
I often said "Let's start with four" just to be clear and try to get them to check in, since I sometimes have a hard time hearing the song changes. That worked pretty well at Blaze.
There were guys tipping dances ones instead of (or in addition to) the $5/song rate, but they were an exception and it wasn't expected by any dancer I spent time with.
One caveat - I have not been there at night shift. These clubs often change significantly between day and night.

The listing here for Pin Ups says it is closed Monday - Wednesday, which matches their website. Is that wrong, or did you select the wrong day of visit for your review?

To be clear... my info about the police calls was from one dancer. She didn't seem like she was just making shit up, but I guess you never know. Also, again according to the dancer, the calls hadn't resulted in anything but some checks for permits. And several dancers told me VIP was still on the table as usual.
It sounded like the dance changes were preemptive by management to avoid "obvious" issues, and maybe not currently increased scrutiny from cops. I'm hopeful it's a temporary change.

@MrMonger -- I'm not sure what you read. Not wanting every other word to be "VIP?" does not mean I want the ladies to "not touch me". I specifically said I went to Vivide for the high-contact, heavy-grind, straddle-my-lap dances.
Vivide _has_ extras. But it also _had_ great high contact dances. The latter seem to be changing.

This place has no cover charge. Parking safety at night is irrelevant as this club is only open during the day (until 7pm).

I think this was submitted for the wrong place. It mentions Bristol so I assume he meant Club Bristol in Sun Prairie (https://tuscl.net/listing/2257) not the Boxxx Office in Portage. The other details sound like Bristol as well.

If you take your taxi to Jerry's across the street instead of directly to Palomino, there's a decent chance they'll either charge you less for cover or give you some drink tickets in exchange. That's less reliable at a busy time (e.g. Saturday at 11pm), but often saves a bit on the entrance.
In the many dances I've done at Palomino, I've never been asked to "sign in" for regular dances upstairs. They did ask me to sign off on a bottle choice the one time I did a room, but never for the 3/$100 (or 15/30 minute) dances in the little circular booths.

@ Manuellabore You have an overly generous perspective on law enforcement and the way it gets applied to marginalized people, including sex workers. As ilbbaicnl points out, possession of condoms has been used as evidence of "loitering for prostitution", and arrests made, even when the officer doesn't witness any activity.
More generally, the idea that LEO need "sufficient evidence for a conviction" to make an arrest is, unfortunately, laughable. Police arrest people all the time with nothing real to charge them with, often just letting them go after hours or days in jail with no charges. It's wrong, and abusive as hell, but it happens.
I have no problem understanding why a stripper wouldn't want to have a string of condoms in her purse.

They raised the prices again? Last time I was there, it was $30 couch / $40 bed (up from $20/$30 pre covid). Then some recent reviews (just a few days ago) said they were $40/$50. Are they really $50/$60 now?

@EastCoaster, All of East St. Louis / Washington Park is certainly distressed. But Hustler is right off the highway so you can ignore most of it. C-Mowes is just a bit down the road (Kingshighway) from Hustler, and while you drive past some burned out buildings, the road otherwise feels semi-normal. There are operating businesses, a fried chicken place, a convenience/liquor store, a school, etc.. When I last drove to Dollies I felt like I was entering a third world country or former war zone or something. I suppose the buildings weren't objectively in that much worse shape but the vibe just took another dive.

Since 1963 ...
I'm not a local, but have been in STL many times.
If you don't need extras, Hustler Club is, I think, the best. The dancers are beautiful and the stage show is great. The lap dances ($30 couch/topless, $40 bed/nude) while pricey compared to Atlanta are cheaper than other clubs in the area (Scarletts charges $50 a song or more). The dances have some privacy in separate nooks and pretty reliably include one-way touching and a decent grind. The place is often dead before 10pm, though they do have a day shift.
Miss Kitty's is just across the road from Hustler. It's less nice inside. When I've been there the dancers have been significantly less attractive than Hustler. Individual lap dances are more expensive and less private than at Hustler. Years ago I got some decent attention at the stage, but that wasn't true more recently. They do have private rooms, with high mileage and a possibility for more.
Diamond Cabaret is a bit further. It's a nice club inside, and they have had decent dancers when I've been there, though significantly fewer than Hustler. Lap dances were more expensive and not better than those at Hustler.
Dollies is in a dump in a shitty part of town, though there's a police station not far. I haven't been in a long time. My visits weren't great, with not very attractive dancers. That said, they were "friendly" (I think this was the place a dancer threw a (wrapped/new) condom at me). It's been the longest since I've tried this one, so my info is more likely to be out of date (though I greatly doubt that it's much improved).
C-Mowes is a day-shift only club and more a bar/hangout than a strip club. Dancers rarely go on stage and regular lap dances are similarly rare. It's possible to have a pretty good time at the bar with "dances" that are heavy on the handshake. They also have a private room where I think lots goes on (at a reported $300+$60 to the bar). The dancers on my visits here have been a mix of cute/GND and some that were heavy/unfit (but still friendly), with no stunners.
Wise Guys was nearly dead the one afternoon I tried them. The only dancer was a ROB, and I didn't have a great experience. I think they're open at night, unlike C-Mowes, so possibly there's more opportunities then. It felt a bit like C-Mowes (which is just down the street), and I suspect their private VIP dances can include high mileage/extras with the right dancer.
My $0.02.

This trip I wasn't there during the day. The crew was basically the same Thursday night and Saturday night. The last time I was there during the day (some time last year) there were fewer dancers, but still a decent number. They varied similarly in shape to those at night; certainly I wasn't disappointed with my afternoon visit. On that trip, at least, there were more good English speakers in the afternoon.

At Club Blaze in Atlanta, a number of dancers just wandered around nude, including coming to say hello. For me it's been less common at Vivide, but it has happened there too.
At Hustler in St. Louis, it's fairly common for dancers to walk topless or even nude from the stage or lap dance area to the back room, or over to a table to count money and get dressed. Walking nude from stage into the lap dance area also happens a fair bit. It's significantly less common, but I've had a number of dancers stay topless and come to my table to chat, and more than one has sat down with me while fully nude.
I'm in the club to see women take their clothes off, but it's always a bit surreal to me when they are so casually nude. Delightful, but still a little odd.

Hustler in East St Louis is one of my favorite clubs. Beautiful dancers, great stage show, decent dances, not outrageous prices.
There are a few other clubs nearby. Non-dive ones include Scarlett's and Diamond Cabaret. Both are ok, but they're more expensive and not as good as Hustler, in my experience. Also nearby is Dollie's which more of a dive. You're more likely to get extras there than Hustler, but the dancer quality is much lower and the stage shows are worse. C-Mowe's is also not far but is day-shift only (noon till 7, I think) and not really a strip club. It's more a bar to hang out with strippers. Tips can get you a pretty friendly hangout, and they have a private VIP rather than regular dances.
Downtown St Louis isn't a bad place to visit. The Arch is nifty. There are a few decent restaurants. If you're into hockey or baseball, both teams play downtown (when in season). if you enjoy burlesque as well as strip clubs, there's a pretty good show at the Boom Boom Room. Union Station is beautiful and a nice place to have a snack or drink. Forest Park is nice. City Museum is unique. There are worse places to be sent.
