joe, a tragic story. But much of the advice, though it was hard to read, was for a reason. It is not over-reacting to have the mindset of being prepared for it to blow-up, becaus ewhatever can go wrong, usually does. You were lucky. Thanks for the words from experience.

Sigh. Un-freaking-believable. I used satire to show how your line of thinking is crazy. And I am talking to you, jerikson, since at this point I am assuming that no one else is following this thresd. I could try to break it down even more, but I don't want to use a crayon to connect three dots. To cite prison statistics to justify discrimination at the SC is using skewed numbers to rationalize an abhorrent practice. And it doesn't make it any better to say that "I don't justify it myself, but we can't change what the rest of the world does." And has it occurred to anyone that a fine, upstanding, law-abiding black male could go into a strip club and soon develop a chip on his shoulder based on how he is (mistakenly) treated? I'm done with this thread and I'm done with imbeciles.

Meh. Yes, facts are facts. So I think that I will cast a suspicious eye on anybody riding a motorcycle, since biker clubs have had their share of illegality. And I'll watch closely any of those dirty, filthy immigrants since they tend to be criminals. And those Moslems, we have all seen what they can do. And I'll be sure to keep the authorities on speed dial when I'm following an elderly driver, since it is a known fact that older people can't drive worth a shit. And everybody knows that every stripper is a ROB and deserves whatever they get. And I am placing the blame for my treatment of all these people squarely on them, since they are the responsible parties.

No, I don't think that random shootings keep racism alive, but rampant ignorance does. These are not musings I have pulled straight from my ass, but based on findings from social science. I must have offended somebody who wants to defend fat radio personalities and white collar criminals. Sorry about that, those guys have such difficult lives as it is. Let me break it down some more for some of you. Poor people commit more property crimes and violent crimes and have a greater chance to be are involved in illicit drug activity. When you don't have money and your life is miserable, you often seek escape through drugs, and you will get weapons to protect yourself. If blacks are disproportionately poor, then they will have disproportionately higher rates of crime and drug use. So if there are violent crimes in an inner city, we shouldn't be surprised if blacks are involved. And if there is rural crime we shouldn't be surprised if some white trailer trash trying to support their meth habit is involved. It is odd that some crackers want to point to black crime as the reason we should discriminate against blacks, but the fact is that most black crime is perpetrated against other blacks because that's where they live. So whites are concerned about black crime only enough to use it as an excuse to discriminate against them, but not enough to care to do anything about it. It is better to lock them up and warehouse those criminals. I never said that these criminals were absolved of any responsibility for their crimes. Our criminal code is full of offenses to address drug crimes, gun crimes, violent crimes, and property crimes. Our incarceration rates are some of the highest of any developed nation. Don't even get me started on the death penalty--how do we have such high murder rates when we are one of the last countries still imposing the death penalty? I thought THAT was supposed to be a deterrent. And I'll type this slowly so that jerikson can understand it: We have prosecuted these crimes to such an extent that a vast swath of the black male population has been put behind bars. Yet there is still more violence. And it is not because blacks have something amiss in their character or their genes. Blacks shooting blacks in a parking lot did not cause the current recession, but the recession has made their lives and ours much worse. No one has gone to jail for the massive criminal wrongdoing that crippled our economy. We don't seem to care if a fat radio personality explains it all away by blaming it on a black president or if he abused prescription drugs. We don't even seem to care if the vast gulf between the rich and the poor in this country continues to widen. But we have gotten very good at jailing street thugs, so that should take care of it.

Blacks are disproportionately represented in arrest, incarceration, and (consequently) in recidivism figures. Drug offenses and property crimes are primarily the reason, but it is not that blacks have more of a drug problem or are inherently more violent. It is mainly that low income folks engage in that kind of behavior, and blacks are disproportionately low income. For some reason we don't care that much about incarcerating white collar criminals (including those AIG peckers) or fat radio personalities that abuse Oxycontin, but we are going to throw the book at that street corner dealer. Our legal system provides minimal protections for criminal defendants who have little money, but if you are a fat radio personality you can hire the best criminal defense lawyer money can buy. So to say that prison populations with large segments of black inmates justifies a club's aggressive attempts to "discourage" black customers misses the mark. Banning felons from entry might get a little closer, but past behavior does not guarantee future behavior and penalizes those guys that were unlucky enough to get caught and incarcerated. And fat radio personalities are still treated upon entry to the SC like rock stars. But they are still dicks.

Great thread, excellent points rell and Superdude and others. I am a white guy, proudly goofy and clumsy. I don't like the thug-attitudes by anybody, especially the wannabe suburban white hip-hoppers. I have always liked black music from James Brown to George Clinton to Sly Stone to Stevie Wonder. But I never tried to pass myself off as black, recognizing how ridiculous that would seem. This country has developed an outsized victim reaction, where a person of color raises the question of differential treatment and the white establishment goes completely berserk, shrieking about how they have been unfairly accused. How in the hell can Bill O'Reilly claim to the victim of anything? Or Rush Limbaugh? Did somebody steal one of his cigars? For these completely over-privileged clowns to complain about anything is mind-boggling. Yes, racism still exists, and these posters are telling the truth. It is true that they can take their dollars and walk, but if most clubs offer the same prospects, the subtle resistance, the back-handed compliments, the condescension, the suspicious ways, then taking your money to another similar club doesn't really remedy the situation. I need to say, that all things being equal, the black sisters have been better dancers for me over the years. And you can crank up theories and whatnot, but it is simply that they were better conversationalists, were a bit naughtier, were saucier, were more entertaining, and were better dancers and had better grace and body control. Were there some excellent white dancers? Yes. Were there some bad black dancers, some heifers, some horrible-attitude AA girls? Yes. But all-in-all, the black girls have been more fun and more memorable. The few times when I have walked out of a club going "whew, that was so very hot" were caused by some sisters. I have heard the expression "Once black, you never go back", but it is not just an empty boast. It is an acknowledgment that there is a rich and fertile backyard awaiting to be explored. To ignore it for whatever reason--fear, ignorance, taste, bias--is to not live life to the fullest. (Now, I don't think black males are too keen on me doing it, but seriously, no offense intended at all.)

8 Things Dancers Don't Want to Hear
Daisy, I have always enjoyed your perspective. Keep writing. And I don't have my nose deep up your ass, either. (Unless you'd like that. . .ha) I understand the sentiment that these dancers are to cater to our wishes and that's the only way to earn any money. But it wouldn't kill us to hear that sometimes these pleasant girls (or at least pleasant-acting girls) slowly get ground down so that dancing can seem to them a pretty shitty job. And it is because the guys can be awfully ugly. Crass. Boorish. Uncouth. We have all been to that club where the girls are all hard-boiled bitches that couldn't care at all about customer service. And we all walk out. The only way these places stay open is when the slack-jawed dumb-asses put up with it and throw money at them. But those guys are generally not on this board. Daisy is just saying that customers can sometimes seem like a collective wall of assholes. We are saying that dancers that are robotic ball-busters are not going to be compensated. I think we all can see the truth. All in all, kindness and respect will reap kindness and respect, in most cases. Daisy, I wish that you had more customers like me.

Is Dating a Stripper a Mistake?
Steve, good play on Geico. LOL Had a real date one time that when I took her home and pulled into the cul-de-sac, she jumped out and ran to her house. If the car had been moving any faster, she would have had to fall and roll like a stuntwoman. Not a successful date.

Is Dating a Stripper a Mistake?
Yes, it probably ruined that club for you. For now. But I don't see why you can't go to other clubs. If you know that she is dancing at club X, then clubs Y and Z and maybe A, B, and C are, by definition, in play. And when you finally go back to club X, the turnover may be all you need to help clean the slate. And you can plead your case to each individual stripper and let each know that you and the ATF are over. If she pulls a knife on them in the dressing room, then you may have a tougher go of it.

A Strip Club Primer For Women
lopaw, you wouldn't be the only one to read your write-up on solo female customers. Your perspective would be interesting in that there may be many commonalities and there may be a few surprising differences. If nothing else, you could tell us what to look for to determine whether that solo female customer would entertain a hook-up with a guy or whether it was out of the question. Right, I know, solo female customer by definition probably means that she is only lez. But there are many dancers who screw other dancers or other girls and they consider themselves straight. The lines are sometimes blurry.

    Strip Club Tips for Couples
Nice, complete take on it. Lengthy, but well written. You could also talk a bit about the possible undercurrents of lesbianism (both imaginary and real). Guys are usually aroused by two girls, but only if they are hot. There is really no demand to see a couple of hairy dykes go at it. But many strippers play on both teams, or at least do so while they are in the club. I don't know if having a bi dancer interested in your GF or wife raises the level of hotness or the level of tension. If the dancer is blatantly bi, maybe the whole fantasy becomes even hotter due to the possibility of a MFF OTC hook-up. On the other hand, if the GF or wife is not at all into women, then the couples night out pales a bit. Then it just becomes a route to get the guy hot and bothered while the GF or wife watches. And I'd think that wouldn't be nearly as much fun as the MFF possibility. I have heard that the GF or wife can get off knowing that no matter how excited strippers get her man, SHE will be the one taking him home.

Dougster, and the guy that painted flames on the side of his '86 Camaro probably thought that he had a pretty hot car. Was it? Who knows? Did I feel compelled to race it? Nope, I just chuckled. Levels (Journey) of a Strip Club Hobbyist
Man, does it really matter? Sometimes I go out in my yard and throw a mean Nerf football pass. If I want to think that I am Peyton Manning throwing a touchdown strike, who cares? I'm happy, my imaginary Colts are happy, the imaginary crowd is happy. Sometimes even the neighbors clap. If a guy wants to call himself a player because he feels like a player, big deal. What's the crime? I have no idea whether he's banging crack whores or not. But the point is: I don't care. I've got better things to do than to lurk around and act like a troll. And Swagger, anybody who tries so hard to affect the attitude and mangled language as you have surely must be the pimply pocket-protector guy sitting in his basement at the keyboard with his pants around his ankles. The layers of pretentious arrogance that flow from your posts is so over-the-top that it must be a Sasha Baron Cohen character. But it is funny.

Old Guys "Weird Out" Younger Men in Strip Clubs
I was going to rebut jerickson40's points, but jackoff did a good job already. I don't really think these old guys (oops, that's probably me) are trying to "date" these girls. And they are not escapees from the retirement home with time on their hands during the day. While jerickson40 is busy at work and can't stake out his territory during the day, these older guys are probably taking time off from their work, cause they might even OWN THE DAMN COMPANY. So, until young buck wants to start up his own business and see it be successful, he is faced with working his 8-5 job and getting his paycheck, and waiting until after work to go to the club. And another thing, dancers' schedules are all over the board. The dancers that dance during the day may not at all during the night, some may do both occasionally, some may have irregular schedules. So to think that the old guy goes to the club in the afternoon to stake out the dancer and thus get an unfair advantage, is faulty reasoning. If these old dudes are delusional, so are the young guys. Neither thinks these girls are going to be their girlfriends. If the old dude wants to spend his wad of money, let him. If the rich young dude throws money at a girl, you don't hear the old guys bitching. THAT'S the Golden Rule: he who has the gold, makes the rules. If some young Mark Cuban kind of guy monopolizes a hot girl, I don't like it but what am I gonna do? Until I make my first million, I just need to accept it.

Very good post, boatmonkey. I have a foot in both camps but I am fast approaching yours. There will come a day when the most exciting thing for me might be an additional item on the cafeteria menu at the nursing home. But I am trying to have some fun while I still can, and my body still operates the way it should. I am still young at heart, and there is a reason for that old saying that youth is wasted on the young.

The Facade of Anti Strip Club laws & perceived negative "secondary effects"
Jeesh, that crap is disturbing. So the stripper handshake is out, but a dancer can't even hand you your jacket, only a bouncer could? A girl dances on stage but cannot solicit tips and a customer cannot directly give tips. So I guess you can put it in a mayonnaise jar and hand it to another dancer to give to her? The physical contact is not specified as intentional or not, so I guess accidental touching by your elbow with a dancer's sexual part is an offense. The one case talks about no contact before or after any live performance, so maybe *during* is okay? The current lewdness laws should cover it--making sure that two freaky consensual people don't do a hot blowjob in the town square is probably a good idea. But if two people are getting busy in a club and nobody else in the club minds, where's the harm? Nope, we have to take it a step further and make sure that no one anywhere is engaging in this behavior. Is it time for the Taliban to decree that only married missionary man-on-woman sex in a dark, enclosed room only a Saturday night and only for the purposes of procreation is acceptable?

The Facade of Anti Strip Club laws & perceived negative "secondary effects"
I'd advise those watching the Kansas ebb and flow on this to not jump to any conclusions one way or another yet. The legislative session is in a full sprint to about April 2 and then they will have nearly a full month off and then they will come back for what they call the "veto session". Sometimes they even reserve a day or two after that for any loose ends. Until the legislature finishes completely for the year, I wouldn't think this thing has run its course yet. As long as there is the ability to demagogue on this issue, they will. And if there is only a day or two left in this session, it can surface once again. Kinzer is probably one of the hardest-headed (note I did not say stupidest) members they have. He does not know the meaning of beating a dead horse. Just because the Senate majority leader says that they have placed it on the back burner does not mean it is dead. It can be used right now for negotiating on several other issues ("log-rolling" or any trade-offs). There are other tricks left, including dropping the House bill into a dormant Senate bill shell then rushing into a conference committee with 3 friendly senators and trying to jam it through both houses quickly, often late at night or the wee hours of the morning.

Strip Clubs Owners, It's time to "Get It"
I think that nationally this is a charge led by the GOP. And it a hell of a lot easier to collect your votes by publicly pushing that morals platform than to try and collect any votes by pushing any type of vice platform. Who's going to state publicly that men ought to have the right to have nude women grind on their laps for their own sexual gratification? That is a debate stopper right there and political suicide (unless you are David Vitter). This is such an easy target for the morals crowd. Set up the straw man as a pervert and beat the bloody hell out of him, then see if anyone rushes in champion the cause of the perverts. It is like shooting political fish in a barrel.

    Significant Others and Strip Clubs
There are few times that I feel like an expert on a board. But this is one of them. After several years of marriage to one woman, some things are clear. There was a bait-and-switch thing; decent sex before marriage and nearly none after the arrival of children. I noticed before marriage that I had a stronger sex drive than she did, but I thought the difference was not much. I was dead wrong. She's satisfied with 4-5 times/year. When she has gotten nosy about where and when I masturbate, I think it is with a perverse curiosity rather than with any desire to change things. She has this turbo-charged view of feminism that equates any SC, hooker/john, online porn, infidelity, webcam, adultery, friend w/ benefits, wet dream, or leering look at a bikini at the beach. It is all the same: horrific, scum-sucking cheating fit for maggots. Looking at a stripper, being with a stripper, and even thinking about being with a stripper are all equally reprehensible. So, this is *not* gmd's wife. Sucker, she would try to take your potato and stuff it up your ass. No room for negotiation. No room for debate. There is good and evil and if you step over the line, you are now and forever on the dark side. I knew that she was inclined that way before we married; I didn't know that it would continue to bubble into a jihadist rage. So, I am committed to her and to my family. But there is no common ground. And if you have made the leap already to figure that it is more than a skewed understanding of human sexuality and gender differences and that it is more likely a control thing, I'd agree with you. But you can't push a rope, and I'll never get her to see it my way, and she'll go to her grave thinking that any man who entered a strip club should have been castrated on the spot. Deserving of punishment like all other sexual offenders. So while she can't bring herself to have sex with me (only once in a blue moon when she gets horny or drunk) she doesn't want me to get satisfaction anywhere else. Or even think about it. (Psst, last night I had a hot dream about a stacked black chick. Couldn't stop that one, could ya, beeyatch?)
