If we're gonna have a strip club a mile from the nation's iconic executive mansion, might as well have a futon outlet next to the strip club too, rightnextdoor to the vacuum repair shop lol

I'm just asking questions lol
Is there a stripclub a mile from Putin's executive mansion? Maybe within 5 miles. Maybe within 10 miles. But within a mile?
I'm just wondering which other nation's capitol has a SC within a mile from its monuments, museums etc
I'm not saying it's a terrible thing. I'm just wondering out loud and making fun of it
No way we got a stripclub a mile from the White House and we don't got a big-ass self-serve car wash, in that same mile
next to a 24 hour laundromat lol

No way we got a strip club a mile from The White House but we don't have scrapyard and a horsetrack within that same mile lol
I'm asking is a mile or less a lil too cozy
Otherwise I'd say there's enough space downtown to fit a decent Go Kart track

The area around the White House isn't sacred ground. Just saying, as time marches on, the context shifts a little. Back in the 1850s or so, maybe having an SC a mile from the White House was considered a dope status symbol. Like having your own Han Solo encased in carbonite at your crib. In 2022 tho, with porn on our cell phones, SCs smile from the White House comes off pressed? Or something lol
Like now I wanna see a 24-hour used tire shop a mile from The White House
I wanna see a Golden Corral buffet a mile from The Whit House lol

I'm saying though, it's 2022. Having a strip club a mile from The White House, is that a good look in general or nah?
Who cares if the SC itself is dope or not.
Otherwise, why stop at an SC amile from The White House
What other crazy shit can we set up a mile from The White House
-a Water park a mile from The White House
-a Goodwill superstore a mile from TWH

In DC a popular SC was briefly renamed 'Cafe International' before ditching that name and the SC biz altogether
Like how TF is anyone supposed to know Cafe International is a strip club

IMO, the difference between yesteryear SCs vs. today's is like old school porn with a script vs. today's porn with no script. Today's porn forgoes the script with lines and just gets to fucking whereas yesterday's porn it was more common to have a storyline with lines before you fuck.
I feel like SCs were the same. It was all pretty much radio music in the SC clubs back then. The hits. Until CDs came around and they played the whole CD. Now you hear songs from Soundclouds or obscure off YouTube included. This brings out different dancers. Younger girls like to bop to their generation of music. The more you can play their sound the more they will come out.
IMO, I remember in the early 90s, the Scs, the dancers I saw, I rarely saw young ones my age at first. Those ladies were older and mature. Mid 90s definitely my age started showing up the music was different. MTV promoted youth culture. Back in the 60s you weren't a proper young lady if you were dancing in the clubs. It was different thinking. But the late 60s early 70s babies were latch key kids growing up independently on the 80s and things shifted.
All just my opinion and relative to the spots I visited. But definitely the shift in music is key to the girls that come out.

I started visiting strip clubs in the early 90s. The vibe was different.
I visited mostly black clubs. Believe it or not, in the early early 90s, they didn't play as much rap. R&B was KING. Soul was KING. You'd hear Anita Baker, Sade's 80s hits. CDs were still new so the DJs still spun records and still had those records on hand not the new rap records as much. And the dancers from the early 90s were 40s, 50s and 60s babies. The early 70s babies just started working but the 40s 50s 60s chicks were used to dancing to R&B and Soul, not to Rap as much.
Folks don't realize, today you can copy CDs and download digital music for free and quickly. You can get the latest songs quickly and play em. Not so much back in the day. Back then the DJ invested heavily in his music. He wanted to air out his late 80s stuff he finally got around to. Which was fine with us. It was a different thinking. Not every DJ had the means to get the new-new stuff and if he did he damb sure wasn't working at a strip club.
Therefore the dancers were slightly different and older because the music was just a lil behind in some cases. But we thought nothing of it. It was different thinking. I clearly remember when rap music was not played at all on Sundays at first. I remember when rap wasn't played until after 12pm noon on weekdays--no rap in the mornings. At the SC, rap wasn't played until late at night with a different DJ who had the records.
With the change of music to rap etc brought a change of dancers, IMO. The 70s babies

If this was for real, I'd get out a pencil and pen or start up a spreadsheet and start counting once this started. Thatd be an interesting number to know exactly how many dancers gave me lappies in my lifetime...itd be a cool fact to personally know...

This one spot out here would often take a quick break around midnight to suddenly introduce all the girls at once. It tried to be quick and painless, just say their names and as their name is called maybe the dancer would do a splits or something. It was cheesy and the girls acted like it was annoying and they were too cool hor it. But I loved it because it was so annoying to them. I loved their too-cool-for-school reactions. Like, c'mon ladies, it's harmless. These aren't your real names. Few of them took advantage to be cute, creative or exotic with it. Like do the robot when your name is called. Take a bow. Kick your heels. Moonwalk. You got 4 seconds while your stagename is called and the whole club is looking at you and all you do is roll your eyes or sheepishly wave. I loved introductions. Meanwhile you could tell the DJ had fun with it too switching up songs every 3 to 4 dancers, playing really bouncy or hype music meanwhile the dancer drags her feet to a spotlight rolls her eyes puts a hand up like 'present' and slides back into line. It's only done once a night and girls acted like it was torture lol. Miss that.

Are we allowed to ask questions?
If so, EndlessSummer
*Which 3 songs make your ideal / preferred / favorite 3-song stripper set for you personally?
*if you had a megaphone to blast out any single constant opinion or heartfelt thought of yours what would it be? For example, me, as a poor man's DJ would blast: why do you think I must play your song request within the next 2 minutes? You realize I don't have to play your song request at all, right?
*give us a random prediction of yours about the future?
Thnx

I suggest going to at least one reunion. I went to my 10 year reunion. I didn't remember or realize until much later when I looked it up, but it occurred days before 9/11.
At our reunion, it felt like classmates treated me like a rockstar and popular. I was not popular. So that was weird. But interesting. We haven't done anymore reunions since. And I probably won't go again...
Our class was different though. There's about 350 of us total and scores of us all grew up together since kindergarten all the way to graduating from the same college at the same time, including me. So to me some of my classmates feel like cousins. We saw each other daily since like 1st grade until end of college. It bothers me deeply when any of them dies. So on that respect, I can understand some of my classmates reaction at our 10 yr reunion towards me...itd been a few years post college graduation by then, the longest we've not seen each other at that time since constantly seeing each other our whole lives. I sometimes hope CNN or something would do a story on my class. How so many different people could grow up all together.
I can totally understand why we have no more reunions too...

I just remembered--there were 2 random short-lived strip clubs locally back in the day that were open on Mondays only and Thursdays only, respectively. And I actively went to both because they were equally so quirky and different...

This is tough. There are a bunch of dancers I'd love to see again. And by seeing them in this one instance I can get their contact info or just shoot the shit.
But that unlimited no cover charge for one year sounds dope as fuck. I could strip club hop the way God intended.
Tough call. But I'm a sucker. I'd opt for the reconnecting with every dancer who ever gave me a lappie. It'd be a fun year bumping into them all at once. Talk about old times...

Yeah, Pfunk, sometimes I wish the spot had more privacy.
Trpterp, a good rule of thumb, especially with strip clubs, try not to park in a lot behind the club. Things can pop off anytime. Or something may happen that makes law enforcement or maybe even club management block off areas around the club including the parking lot in the back. So, at least if you're parked elsewhere you can walk off the premises and get to your car and escape....

i dig SC trivia.
if i remember right: california, texas and florida are the only us states with at least 100 SCs, right?
and thanks to this site, there's only about 3,000 or so total SCs in the US
which (on paper) divides into an average of about 60 per state (not including territories)
i remember when i first saw '3,000' or so SCs in The US, i thought that number was way too low
then i thought about it and it seems about right
i think there's only 1 us state without an 'official' SC? right?

by the way, 'newsworthy' doesn't mean 10 o'clock news on local TV.
i'm saying, i don't see any random article about it. anywhere. even small time, small town newspapers. but i'll have to keep looking.
tho i will take the advice above and check out through public records who owned the venue and see if i can get a name. good idea.
guys, this club of course was on social media. and has been mentioned on social media by patrons when it was open. it was open for many years. it was popular. i'm not talking some lowkey forgettable venue. i just can't see the owner dying and nothing being said. at all. nowhere.
oh and as for his death--it's been debated whether or not he was outright murdered or if he suddenly died by natural causes. or if he was murdered, but his death was made to look like natural causes. on facebook, the RIPs didn't off-hand mention a motorcylce accident or car accident, or illness that I can recall. Just all the handful of quick RIP posts without his name nor image the year it happened and that's it. Just "RIP the owner of blah blah" on Facebook with sad faces and that post ditto'd about a dozen times and that's it.

But hey, lemme re-say that I love this site and everybody it it. Seriously.
Loved this site since I discovered it.
And I'm always amazed at all the improvements (may not be the best word for what I'm trying to say or thinking of) on this site over the years. I'm trying to say this site is always trying to be the best that it can possibly be and I truly dig that.

I know, I sound like a troll.
I'm not, though.
I was just being honest. And I agree with what Icee said--writing reviews kinda cuts into one's anonymity.
I also feel like such a snitch writing a review.
And I also feel weird folks look me up and be like, you've been on this site for 10+ years. You've only written 4 reviews.
Yeah and if you read them they're wordy and a bit odd. Some of it on purpose so anyone who knows me don't figure me out.
I'm not against anyone writing reviews. I dunno, I guess I'm saying it'd be also something if this site asked specific random questions about venues from different people after their visit, or something. I dunno.
And if some of y'all are insinuating that I'm odd because I joined a review site and yet here I am complaining about folks submitting reviews, I'm guessing that I discovered this site not because of the reviews, but over something else, like a discussion and wanted to join for that.
Keep in mind 10+ years ago this site wasn't like it is today. Generally, yes, but not wholly.
