I’ve done both. They both have their pros and cons. I prefer strippers over escorts. IME, strippers are usually hotter than escorts. Plus, it is much easier to find a hot stripper than it is to find a hot escort. Escorts usually are the cheaper option since you only typically pay them for services, but they will only see you for the scheduled amount of time you booked them for. If you’re meeting strippers OTC, you may pay more, but they typically don’t watch the clock and therefore, you do get your money’s worth. For the record, I’ve never seen a stripper OTC, I am just stating what many have said in previous discussions on this same topic. If you’re meeting strippers in the club, you do have other costs in addition to what the stripper may charge for services, and since they have to give a portion of the money to the club, costs usually are higher than what an escort charges. With escorts, there is always the possibility that the girl posts an ad with old pics from when she was younger/hotter, or worse yet, it ends up being a bait and switch when you go to meet her. With strippers, you get the advantage of seeing what they look like in person while you shop around. Plus, meeting strippers in the club allows you to find one you click with before making it into a business transaction. So, in theory, shopping for escorts is like shopping through an online retailer (Amazon, etc) while shopping for strippers is like physically walking into a brick and mortar retailer (Walmart, Target, etc). For me personally, I prefer to see the merchandise in person as opposed to pictures on a web page.

I just went through and checked off all the clubs I’ve reviewed, and then checked off 5 other clubs which I’ve been to, but haven’t reviewed, and probably won’t review because it has been over 5 years since I’ve been to any of those 5, and they are in areas where I no longer live.

^ Flight Club in Inkster is the best comparison to the former Penthouse and Coliseum. All 3 of these clubs are owned by the same person.

I’m done with City of Detroit clubs as well. I visited Penthouse a few weeks back and felt like just being there was a big waste of time. It is a bit of a drive for me to get to the DTW area, but it is worth the drive as I’m almost never disappointed when I leave the club to go home.

SJG, you know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about. But, go ahead and believe whatever you want to believe, you’re entitled to your opinion just as much as everyone else. Until you can actually provide any evidence that backs up what you claim to be truth, I am of the opinion that you are full of shit.

SJG, Deja Vu owns clubs across the state of Michigan, but only 2 in the Detroit area. And, AFAIK, all clubs owned by Deja Vu are listed on their website, even the “unbranded” ones you speak of. If it isn’t listed on their site, they don’t own it. But, of course, you’re going to believe whatever you want regardless of what the facts really are.

SJG, Deja Vu only owns 2 clubs in the Detroit area. If you think they own more, go ahead and believe it, because you’re the only one crazy enough to actually think such a thing is true. This just goes back to the statement I made earlier. You know absolutely nothing about Detroit strip clubs.

SJG, I know which nationwide chain you are talking about, and they only own 2 clubs in the Detroit area, and neither one is a popular choice. However, clubs in the city of Detroit do get raided. Tickets do get issued whenever contact between a customer and a dancer is observed while a raid is taking place. Allowing a front room make out session to take place is only asking for the club to rack up fines if vice shows up to do a raid. I hope that explanation is good enough for you.

I am going to my brother’s house for Thanksgiving. The drive isn’t quite 200 miles, more like 170. The drive will be about 2.5 hours one way.

If you think about it, the effort to get rid of the curtains in all clubs within the Detroit city limits took several years to accomplish. Based on that, I don’t see any reason to panic in regards to the clubs in the suburbs, because I don’t think an effort to clean up those clubs will be happening any time soon. Even if a reputable source does report about a raid happening at a club in the suburbs, it will probably take several years to completely clean things up. I do see a scenario where the clubs in Detroit proper can get their curtains back. The local economy would have to take a massive hit, to the point where there isn’t adequate funding for DPD to have a vice squad. A recession is something I do not wish for, even if it means the clubs on 8 Mile can return to their former glory. Once Penthouse lost its curtains, I came to terms with no privacy in the VIP being the new norm at the clubs within the Detroit city limits. Then again, since the clubs in the suburbs have their curtains up, it was very easy for me to accept this as reality.
