I reiterate my desire for the ignore feature to completely remove any affect on my view of the boards by those I've ignored. No PMs, I don't see their threads, I don't see their posts, and their post doesn't bump a thread when I sort by last post. So when I block trucidos, and he bumps a thread, it doesn't move in my list until some un-ignored person posts.
The periodic bumping of years old threads just reinforces my desire.

I've had many dancers tell me "love you" in passing. Obviously, they didn't mean that they were actually in love with me (well, one did, but that's another story). Keep an eye out on other sites as well. Some of these sites now are "scraper" sites, i.e. they "scrape" the ads from other sites. They do this so they can get click revenue without any of the work of building an actual site or soliciting actual ads.

A reasonable assumption. He has what <em>looks</em> like an Army Good Conduct ribbon on there, at least it looks like pics I've seen. Officers don't get GC medals, so if that's what it is, he was definitely enlisted at one point.

Depends on the route he took to make Captain. If he's a "mustang" (prior enlisted, going the Warrant Officer route), that's actually not horrible. Still slower than average from what I recall, but he's a reservist, not active duty, and that might make some difference.

Happens far more often than is reported. Despite SJG's uninformed assertion, our military is still in large part a "good ol' boys club." It's getting better, but it's by no means as good for women as it is for men.
